Higher ambient temperatures may worsen obstructive sleep apnea:A nationwide smartwatch-based analysis of 6.2 million person-days

Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA)is a serious type of sleep disorder that can lead to cardiometabolic and neurocognitive *** utilized smart device-based photoplethysmography technology to collect sleep data from the Chinese population from 2019 to *** lag nonlinear models combined with a generalized nonlinear model or a linear mixed effects model were used to investigate the shortterm associations between daily temperature and indicators of OSA *** included a total of 6,232,056 d of sleep monitoring data from 51,842 participants with moderate to severe risk of OSA from 313 Chinese *** relationships between ambient temperature and OSA exacerbation,apneahypopnea index(AHI),and minimum oxygen saturation(MinSpO_(2))were almost linear and present only on the same *** temperatures were associated with a greater risk of OSA exacerbation,with an 8.4%(95%confidence interval(CI):7.6%–9.3%)increase per 10℃increase in temperature.A 10℃increase in daily temperature corresponded to an AHI increase of 0.70 events/h(95%CI:0.65–0.76)and a MinSpO_(2)decrease of 0.18%(95%CI:0.16%–0.19%).Exposure to elevated temperatures during the night can also lead to adverse *** effects of higher temperatures on OSA severity were stronger among men,participants with a body mass index24 kg/m2,those aged 45 years and older,individuals with a history of hypertension and diabetes,and during the cold *** large-scale,nationwide,longitudinal study provides robust evidence suggesting that higher ambient temperatures may immediately worsen OSA.

Objective:This study was conducted to explore the relationships among sedentary behavior(SB),electronic product addiction(EPA),and depression(D)in adolescents during the COVID-19 ***:A total of 604 adolescents(including 309 girls and 295 boys aged 12-18)were selected from Qufu City,Shandong Province,China for three rounds of *** model was constructed using AMOS 23.0 software,and cross-lagged analysis was ***:SB at T1 can significantly positively predict SB and EPA at T2(p<0.05).EPA at T1 can significantly positively predict SB and D at T2(p<0.05).Physical activity level and SB at T2 can significantly predict SB and EPA at T3(p<0.05).EPA at T2 can significantly predict SB,EPA,and D at T3(p<0.05).Conclusions:SB and EPA are predictive factors for ***,SB can significantly positively predict D and indirectly predict D through the mediating effect of EPA.

Constructing a small organic molecule by using the derivative of oxadiazole for photovoltaic applications

Because of their elasticity， light weight， little cost， and wide-area applications， besides that a notable increase in power conversion efficiency （PCE）， organic solar cells have recently caught the concern of numerous researchers. In the current project， we created a variety of organic small compounds as donor materials by using Gaussian 09. Our design approach entails swapping the core part， which is benzothiadiazole （BT）， based on a derivative of oxadiazole， as the terminals on both sides of the prototype compound （RM） with a variety of fragments to improve the electronic and optic characterization and performance for PCE in organic solar cells. Careful theoretical consideration under density-functional theory DFT and time-dependent density functional theory TD-DET at the B3LYP/6-31G（d，p） basis set was made to find the maximum absorption wavelengthλmax， the efficiency of light harvesting （LHE）， excitation energy (EX)， HOMO and LOMO levels， energy band gap (Eg)， dipole moment （ρ）， the DOS， ionization potential （LP）， electron affinity （EA）， fill factor （EF）， and open circuit voltage (Voc) of molecules RM and TSstudied in a methodical manner. Calculated values revealed that proposed compounds T1-T4 can be encouraging materials for manufacturing organic solar cells as a donor tiny compound with acceptor PC61BM to predict a rise in power conversion efficiency （PCE） owing to their possession of proper values for some optical and electronic features， like the lowest HOMO level， narrower band gaps， and a greater absorption wavelength compared with the reference model RM.

Method Verification and Validation of Hydralazine Hydrochloride: Spectrophotometric Analysis in Pure and Pharmaceutical Formulations

The new method proposed is based on the formation of hydralazine-Bromophenol blue ion pair simply and without further extraction or heating. The ion pair was prepared in the presence of pH 3 citrate buffer forming a yellow-colored chromogen. A new maximum UV-visible band formed at 416 nm. The color was stable for more than 10 hours and obeyed Beer’s Law over the concentration range of 10 - 50 µg/mL. The calculated molar absorptivity and Sandell’s sensitivity were 1.01 × 104 L∙mol−1∙cm−1 and 0.0514 µg/mL, respectively. The elements of method validation stipulated by The International Conference on Harmonization [Q2 (R1)] were applied for hydralazine hydrochloride assay in pure and pharmaceutical tablet formulation. The average recoveries of the pure solution and the pharmaceutical formulation were 98.94% and 99.50%, respectively. The results were statistically compared by F-test, which indicates that the method can be precise and repeatable for both pure and pharmaceutical solutions. The method was found to be accurate, reproducible, and cost-effective, and validated for the assay of hydralazine in terms of the routine quality control.

Proximal Linearized Minimization Algorithm for Nonsmooth Nonconvex Minimization Problems in Image Deblurring with Impulse Noise

Impulse noise removal is an important task in image restoration. In this paper, we introduce a general nonsmooth nonconvex model for recovering images degraded by blur and impulsive noise, which can easily include some prior information, such as box constraint or low rank, etc. To deal with the nonconvex problem, we employ the proximal linearized minimization algorithm. For the subproblem, we use the alternating direction method of multipliers to solve it. Furthermore, based on the assumption that the objective function satisfies the KurdykaLojasiewicz property, we prove the global convergence of the proposed algorithm. Numerical experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms both the l1TV and Nonconvex TV models in terms of subjective and objective quality measurements.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the development of a curriculum in Japan to foster the agency(OECD Student Agency)necessary for children living in the future,as outlined in the OECD education2030 Project,and the role of teachers who implement this ***,I aim to achieve this goal by taking an overview of educational thought,educational systems and history,and examining several initiatives in the OECD Project and the situation of a Japanese high school that practices science and mathematics *** a result of analyzing previous research and the narratives obtained from interviews with Teacher A(pseudonym)of a certain F High School(pseudonym),it was found that school education should not simply teach subjects,but should aim to enable student to help student exercise agency in the *** was suggested that it is not necessary to add content to the curriculum,but rather to prepare to provide students with competencies that will enable them to use the content in various contexts,situations,and circumstances,suggesting that in order to discover such important competencies,teachers and other related parties are required to implement curricula that allow students to slowly and carefully explore the competencies surrounding the content,and to conceive and build curricula that include both hidden and intended curriculum that allows student to reflect on the curriculum they have achieved.

Emerging evidence has highlighted the capacity of hematogenous cells in skull and vertebral bone marrow to enter the meningeal borders via ossified vascular channels and maintain immune homeostasis in the central nervous system(CNS).CNS-adjacent skull and vertebral bone marrow comprises hematopoietic niches that can sense CNS injury and supply specialized immune cells to fine-tune inflammatory ***,we review recent advances in our understanding of skull and vertebral bone marrow-derived immune cells in homeostasis and inflammatory CNS ***,we discuss the implications for future development of therapies to mitigate CNS inflammation and its detrimental sequelae in neurological disorders.
