Monotonic pore size and particles inseparability of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)caused serious effects on its light absorption ability and charge separation,restricting its application for antibiotic such as levofloxacin(LEV)degradation in *** this study,a magnetically detachable nano-photocatalyst(ZnFe_(2)O_(4)@MIL-88A(Fe))was synthesized using a simple two-step hydrothermal *** morphology and microstructure analyses showed that n-type ZnFe_(2)O_(4)catalyst particleswere efficiently assembled onto the surface of MIL-88A(Fe)*** activity studies indicated that the ZnFe_(2)O_(4)@MIL-88A(Fe)plus H_(2)O_(2)exhibiting a significantly boosted photo-Fenton activity toward LEV at visible light irradiation,compared to the pure ZnFe_(2)O_(4)and MIL-88A(Fe),the degradation efficiency accordingly reached up to nearly 82%and 25%within 60 *** excellent photocatalytic performance was ascribed to the synergistic effects of the heterogeneous structure of ZnFe_(2)O_(4)and MIL-88A(Fe),whereby the efficient separation of charge carriers in the catalytic system is mutually reinforced with the efficient reduction of Fe^(3+)and Fe^(2+).Meanwhile,the degradationmechanism and intermediates of LEV during the photo-Fenton reaction process were also studied in depth through free radical burst,electron paramagnetic resonance,and mass spectrometry analyses,***,the ZnFe_(2)O_(4)@MIL-88A(Fe)composite catalyst displayed significant stability and ease of separation,indicating potential for the photooxidative degradation of organic pollutants.

AIM To assess magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) and faecal calprotectin to detect endoscopic postoperative recurrence in patients with Crohn's disease(CD).METHODS From two tertiary centers, all patients with CD who underwent ileocolonic resection were consecutively and prospectively included. All the patients underwent MRI and endoscopy within the first year after surgery or after the restoration of intestinal continuity [median = 6 mo(5.0-9.3)]. The stools were collected the day before the colonoscopy to evaluate faecal calprotectin level. Endoscopic postoperative recurrence(POR) was defined as Rutgeerts' index ≥ i2b. The MRI was analyzed independently by two radiologists blinded from clinical *** Apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) was lower in patients with endoscopic POR compared to those with no recurrence(2.03 ± 0.32 vs 2.27 ± 0.38 × 10^(-3) mm^2/s, P = 0.032). Clermont score(10.4 ± 5.8 vs 7.4 ± 4.5, P = 0.038) and relative contrast enhancement(RCE)(129.4% ± 62.8% vs 76.4% ± 32.6%, P = 0.007) were significantly associated with endoscopic POR contrary to the magnetic resonance index of activity(Ma RIA)(7.3 ± 4.5 vs 4.8 ± 3.7; P = 0.15) and MR scoring system(P = 0.056). ADC 100%(sensitivity = 0.75, specificity = 0.81, PPV = 0.75, NPV = 0.81) were the best cutoff values to identify endoscopic POR. Clermont score > 6.4(sensitivity = 0.61, specificity = 0.82, PPV = 0.73, NPV = 0.74), Ma RIA > 3.76(sensitivity = 0.61, specificity = 0.82, PPV = 0.73, NPV = 0.74) and a MR scoring system ≥ MR1(sensitivity = 0.54, specificity = 0.82, PPV = 0.70, and NPV = 0.70) demonstrated interesting performances to detect endoscopic POR. Obtaining accurate ship positions and headings in remote sensing images plays a crucial role in various ***,current deep learning-based methods primarily focus on ship position detection,while the detection of ship wakes relies on traditional non-deep learning approaches,which often underperform in complex marine *** proposed a novel,simple,and efficient method called Point-Vector *** proposed method leverages convolutional neural networks(CNN)for feature extraction and subsequently integrates multi-scale features to generate high-resolution feature *** the final stage,ship positions and headings are represented using a combination of points and *** experiments with results from automatic identification system(AIS)reports demonstrate that our method achieved impressive performance in two-class ship target detection,with an average precision of 96.4%,recall rate of 94.3%,and an F 1 score of 95.2%.Notably,the average heading error was 3.3°.The proposed model achieved a practical inference speed(FPS>30),and the average processing time for inferring a large-scale Sentinel-2 remote sensing image was 11.4 s.

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection is one of the most common infections in human beings worldwide. H. pylori express lipopolysaccharides and flagellin that do not activate efficiently Toll-like receptors and express dedicated effectors, such as γ-glutamyl transpeptidase, vacuolating cytotoxin (vacA), arginase, that actively induce tolerogenic signals. In this perspective, H. pylori can be considered as a commensal bacteria belonging to the stomach microbiota. However, when present in the stomach, H. pylori reduce the overall diversity of the gastric microbiota and promote gastric inflammation by inducing Nod1-dependent pro-inflammatory program and by activating neutrophils through the production of a neutrophil activating protein. The maintenance of a chronic inflammation in the gastric mucosa and the direct action of virulence factors (vacA and cytotoxin-associated gene A) confer pro-carcinogenic activities to H. pylori. Hence, H. pylori cannot be considered as symbiotic bacteria but rather as part of the pathobiont. The development of a H. pylori vaccine will bring health benefits for individuals infected with antibiotic resistant H. pylori strains and population of underdeveloped countries.

Spraying Arginine at 5 Days before Harvest Delays Postharvest Broccoli Senescence via Nutrient Accumulation

To determine the effects of preharvest arginine spraying on the nutritional level of broccoli and the mechanism of action of arginine in improving the storage quality of broccoli,arginine spraying(5 mmol/L)was conducted at 0,1,3,and 5 days before *** appearance,respiration rate,mass-loss rate,electrolyte leakage,glucosinolate,ascorbic acid,total phenol,total flavonoid,total sugar and sucrose contents,and sucrose phosphate synthase(SPS),invertase(INV),sucrose synthase synthesis(SSS)and cleavage(SSC)activities of broccoli samples were observed after 0,2,4,6,8,and 10 days of *** results showed that spraying arginine at 5 days preharvest(5-ARG)helped to inhibit broccoli respiration during storage,delay electrolyte leakage,and maintain broccoli ***,during the growth stage,total sugar accumulation was higher in the 5-ARG *** addition,during the storage period,sucrose synthesis was accelerated,while sucrose cleavage was inhibited,resulting in more sucrose retention in postharvest *** conclusion,5-ARG resulted in the accumulation of more nutrients during the growth process and effectively delayed the quality decline during storage,thereby prolonging the shelf life of ***,this study provides a theoretical basis for improving postharvest storage characteristics of broccoli through preharvest treatments.
