To the Editor:Parkinson’s disease(PD)is one of the most co.mon neurodegenerative movement disorders.[1]The severity of PD-related motor symptoms is usually semiquantitatively(“normal”,“slight”,“mild”,“moderate”,and“severe”)evaluated by expert physicians acco.ding to the Movement Disorder Society-sponsored revision of the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale Part III(MDS-UPDRS III).[2]However,the MDS-UPDRS III is semiquantitative and subjective,which might mask mild treatment effects or even provide false-positive results.

Carbon efficiency modeling and optimization of solar-powered cellular networks

As wireless co.munication traffic experiences rapid growth, the carbon emissions caused by the co.munication industry are also on the rise. To achieve “carbon neutrality”, researchers are co.sidering the use of renewable energy sources to power cellular networks, thereby reducing carbon emissions. However, a challenge arises when using renewable energy, specifically owing to the unpredictable nature of both the energy co.sumption of the cellular network and the power generation from renewable sources. This inco.sistency results in low renewable energy utilization and reduced carbon efficiency. Herein, we co.struct a carbon efficiency model of solar-powered cellular networks using practical data from solar radiation. We propose a mechanism that alternately optimizes the performance of the renewable energy network and the cellular network. This approach is based on co.vex optimization theory and the Dinkelback algorithm, and it leads to the design of a carbon efficiency optimization algorithm. This algorithm aims to improve the carbon efficiency of cellular networks and reduce their carbon emissions. Simulation results demonstrate that our optimization scheme yields a maximum improvement of 2.56 × 108bps/g in the carbon efficiency of the cellular network as co.pared to co.ventional power allocation schemes such as the traditional water filling method and heuristic energy sharing and charge/discharge algorithms.

Scenarios analysis and performance assessment of blockchain integrated in 6G scenarios

Emerging applications such as smart city infrastructures and virtual reality landscapes are setting rigorous benchmarks for 6G mobile networks, requiring elevated levels of co.fidentiality, integrity, nonrepudiation, authentication, and stringent access co.trols. Blockchain technology is heralded as a transformative enabler for meeting 6G standards, owing to its intrinsic attributes. However, a gap exists in the holistic investigation of blockchain's applicability in 6G realms, particularly addressing the “whether”, “when”, and“how” of its deployment. Present research trails in developing robust methodologies to gauge blockchain's efficacy within 6G use cases. Addressing this, our study introduces a novel co.fluence of blockchain with 6G networks, where data resides in distributed Hash tables(DHTs) while their hashes are secured in distributed ledger technology(DLT), harnessing blockchain's co.e strengths-immutability, traceability, and fortified security. We delineate seven specific 6G use cases poised for enhancement through blockchain integration,and scrutinize the rationale, nature, and timing of this co.vergence. Furthermore, we devise a co.prehensive methodology for assessing blockchain's performance metrics and scalability in 6G environments. Our extensive experimental analyses evaluate the synergistic performance of this integration, revealing that the Quorum blockchain satisfactorily supports 80% of 6G scenarios. The findings suggest that, with appropriate co.figurations, co.sortium blockchains are well-equipped to fulfill the demanding performance and scalability requisites of 6G networks.

Weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore is crucial source of medium and heavy rare earths,with in-situ leaching being the most co.mon mining *** high co.tents of impurity of aluminum in the leach solution are a significant challenge for the subsequent enrichment process of rare earths.A co.prehensive understanding of the occurrences and vertical distribution of aluminum and rare earths within typical vertical profiles can provide valuable insights into entire design of the in-situ *** paper improves a five-step sequential extraction method to analyze the occurrence and vertical distribution of rare earths and aluminum in vertical profiles from Chongzuo and *** results demonstrate that soil solution pH is the main factor affecting the vertical distribution of ionexchangeable rare *** samples have distinct areas of enrichment for ion-exchangeable rare earths or ***-exchangeable rare earths are primary co.centrated in the middle and lower parts of the ore layer(4-13 m in Chongzuo,14-22 m in Longyan),while the ion-exchangeable aluminum is mainly enriched in the upper part of the ore layer(1-5 m in Chongzuo,and 2-14 m in Longyan).The vertical distribution of inorganic hydroxy aluminum is likely influenced by the micromorphology and particle size of the clay *** inorganic hydroxy aluminum co.centration in Chongzuo samples decreases co.tinuously from 415.65 to 120.95 mg/kg with increasing sampling depth,whereas the co.centration in Longyan samples(110.55-171.27 mg/kg)is almost independence with sampling *** results provide direct guidance for the entire design of the injection well depth and the leaching parameters,thereby inhibiting the leaching of impurity of aluminum and lower the co.sumption of leaching agent.

Deep Learning and Tensor-Based Multiple Clustering Approaches for Cyber-Physical-Social Applications

The study delves into the expanding role of network platforms in our daily lives, enco.passing various mediums like blogs, forums, online chats, and prominent social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. While these platforms offer avenues for self-expression and co.munity support, they co.currently harbor negative impacts, fostering antisocial behaviors like phishing, impersonation, hate speech, cyberbullying, cyberstalking, cyberterrorism, fake news propagation, spamming, and fraud. Notably, individuals also leverage these platforms to co.nect with authorities and seek aid during disasters. The overarching objective of this research is to address the dual nature of network platforms by proposing innovative methodologies aimed at enhancing their positive aspects and mitigating their negative repercussions. To achieve this, the study introduces a weight learning method grounded in multi-linear attribute ranking. This approach serves to evaluate the significance of attribute co.binations across all feature spaces. Additionally, a novel clustering method based on tensors is proposed to elevate the quality of clustering while effectively distinguishing selected features. The methodology inco.porates a weighted average similarity matrix and optionally integrates weighted Euclidean distance, co.tributing to a more nuanced understanding of attribute importance. The analysis of the proposed methods yields significant findings. The weight learning method proves instrumental in discerning the importance of attribute co.binations, shedding light on key aspects within feature spaces. Simultaneously, the clustering method based on tensors exhibits improved efficacy in enhancing clustering quality and feature distinction. This not only advances our understanding of attribute importance but also paves the way for more nuanced data analysis methodologies. To solve the problem of high photogenerated carrier reco.bination rate and low photoelectric co.version efficiency of TiO2-based materials,a simple N-doped anatase/rutile TiO2heterophase nanorod film was designed by a low-temperature hydrothermal method in this *** enhanced separation and transport of photogenerated charges were facilitated by the smaller co.tact barrier and appropriate band matching between anatase TiO2nanoparticles and rutile *** introduction of N doping in anatase TiO2resulted in an upward shift of the valence band and a narrowing of the band gap,co.sequently enhancing the efficiency of visible light *** co.bination of the heterophase junction and N-doping exhibited a synergistic effect,effectively suppressing the reco.bination of photogenerated charges and enhancing the photoelectric co.version efficiency of the *** AM 1.5G irradiation,the photocurrent density（J） of the A-TO（N）@R-TONR photoanode reached2.19 mA·cm-2(VRHE,1.23 eV).Additionally,the incident photon-electron co.version efficiency（IPCE） and the charge injection efficiency（η） reached 81.4% and 51.6% at320 ***,the J,IPCE,and η values of the A-TO（N）@R-TONR photoanode were 2.96,2.1 and 3.2times those of pure R-TONR photoanode,*** work presents a rational strategy for designing efficient TiO2-based photoanodes.
