Network Intrusion Detection in Internet of Blended Environment Using Ensemble of Heterogeneous Autoencoders(E-HAE)

Contemporary attackers,mainly motivated by financial gain,consistently devise sophisticated penetration techniques to access important information or *** growing use of Internet of Things(IoT)technology in the contemporary convergence environment to connect to corporate networks and cloud-based applications only worsens this situation,as it facilitates multiple new attack vectors to emerge *** such,existing intrusion detection systems suffer from performance degradation mainly because of insufficient considerations and poorly modeled detection *** address this problem,we designed a blended threat detection approach,considering the possible impact and dimensionality of new attack surfaces due to the aforementioned *** collectively refer to the convergence of different technology sectors as the internet of blended *** proposed approach encompasses an ensemble of heterogeneous probabilistic autoencoders that leverage the corresponding advantages of a convolutional variational autoencoder and long short-term memory variational *** extensive experimental analysis conducted on the TON_IoT dataset demonstrated 96.02%detection ***,performance of the proposed approach was compared with various single model(autoencoder)-based network intrusion detection approaches:autoencoder,variational autoencoder,convolutional variational autoencoder,and long short-term memory variational *** proposed model outperformed all compared models,demonstrating F1-score improvements of 4.99%,2.25%,1.92%,and 3.69%,respectively.

Resource and trajectory optimization in UAV-powered wireless communication system

The unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) is a promising enabler of Internet of Things(IoT) owing to its highly flexible features. Combined with wireless power transfer(WPT) techniques, a UAV can provide energy for IoT nodes, which can extend the lifetime of energy constrained communication systems. This paper studies resource and trajectory optimization in UAV-powered wireless communication systems, which consists of two UAVs and two ground nodes(gns). The system works in a way that the two UAVs alternately charge the two gns through wireless power transfer and two gns also alternately send their information to the corresponding UAV with the harvested energy, which can effectively reduce the interference while receiving the information of gns. Aiming to maximize the minimum throughput of two gns, wireless resource and UAVs’ trajectories are jointly optimized with the constraints of UAV collision avoidance, flying speed, and transmit power. Successive convex programming(SCP) and block coordinate descent(BCD) are utilized to solve the optimization problem. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves larger minimum throughput than the benchmark scheme.

Hog Production in China:Technological Bias and Factor Demand

Technological change and factor biases are estimated by employing a translog cost function based on a new adjusted dataset for China’s hog production sector. Technological change is found not to have been neutral and the factor bias to be statistically significant towards feed grain-saving technology. It is also found that the demand for feed grain is elastic with respect to its own price and that strong substitution relationships exist with respect to some other inputs. Thus, along with technological biases, the changes in input price could affect hog farmer input behaviors and therefore change factor shares of hog production cost in China. In other words, demand for feed grain is very elastic, which results in feed grain-saving technological bias. Two major policy implications can be drawn that rising feed grain prices could significantly reduce the feed grain input on hog farms and developing specialized hog farms could provide more employment opportunities for rural labor in China because feed grain and labor are complementary.

There are few evidences on the effect of biochar on vegetable yield,nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)leaching losses under intensive vegetable production *** current field plot scale study evaluated responses of Chinese cabbage(Brassica oleracea L.)yield,N and P leaching losses using five N treatments of common N application rate according to local farmers’practice(N100%),reducing 20%or 40%N fertilizer(N80%and N60%),and reducing 40%N fertilizer but incorporating 10 or 20 t/ha biochar(N60%+BC10 and N60%+BC20).Results showed that N80%and N60%decreased both the cabbage economic and leaf yields by 6.8%-36.3%and 27.4%-37.7%,*** of biochar with reduced N fertilizer rates improved the cabbage yield,in particular the N60%+BC20 matched the yield that observed in N100%*** N and P uptake capacities of cabbage shoot probably contributed the higher vegetable production under both biochar amendment *** application mitigated the NH_(4)^(+)-N and total P leaching losses by 20%-30%and 29%-32%,respectively,compared with their counterpart treatment N60%.Nevertheless,biochar exerted no influence on the NO_(3)^(-)-N *** addition,soil organic matter content was recorded with 7.4%-28.7%higher following 10-20 t/ha biochar *** conclusion,biochar application can increase economic yield of cabbage via increasing N and P use efficiency,decrease N and P leaching losses,and improve soil quality in an intensive vegetable production system.

A Malvaceae mystery: A mallow maelstrom of genome multiplications and maybe misleading methods?

Previous research suggests that Gossypium has undergone a 5-to 6-fold multiplication following its divergence from Theobroma. However, the number of events, or where they occurred in the Malvaceae phylogeny remains unknown. We analyzed transcriptomic and genomic data from representatives of eight of the nine Malvaceae subfamilies. Phylogenetic analysis of nuclear data placed Dombeya(Dombeyoideae) as sister to the rest of Malvadendrina clade, but the plastid DNA tree strongly supported Durio(Helicteroideae) in this position. Intraspecific Ks plots indicated that all sampled taxa, except Theobroma(Byttnerioideae), Corchorus(Grewioideae), and Dombeya(Dombeyoideae), have experienced whole genome multiplications(WGMs). Quartet analysis suggested WGMs were shared by Malvoideae-Bombacoideae and Sterculioideae-Tilioideae, but did not resolve whether these are shared with each other or Helicteroideae(Durio).Gene tree reconciliation and Bayesian concordance analysis suggested a complex history. Alternative hypotheses are suggested, each involving two independent autotetraploid and one allopolyploid event. They differ in that one entails an allopolyploid origin for the Durio lineage,whereas the other invokes an allopolyploid origin for Malvoideae-Bombacoideae. We highlight the need for more genomic information in the Malvaceae and improved methods to resolve complex evolutionary histories that may include allopolyploidy, incomplete lineage sorting, and variable rates of gene and genome evolution.

On the GF(p) Linear Complexity of Hall's Sextic Sequences and Some Cyclotomic-Set-Based Sequences

Klapper(1994) showed that there exists a class of geometric sequences with the maximal possible linear complexity when considered as sequences over GF(2), but these sequences have very low linear complexities when considered as sequences over GF(p)(p is an odd prime). This linear complexity of a binary sequence when considered as a sequence over GF(p) is called GF(p) complexity. This indicates that the binary sequences with high GF(2) linear complexities are inadequate for security in the practical application, while,their GF(p) linear complexities are also equally important, even when the only concern is with attacks using the Berlekamp-massey algorithm [massey, J. L., Shift-register synthesis and bch decoding, IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 15(1), 1969, 122–127]. From this perspective, in this paper the authors study the GF(p) linear complexity of Hall's sextic residue sequences and some known cyclotomic-set-based sequences.

Upper Cretaceous trench deposits of the Neo-Tethyan subduction zone： Jiachala Formation from Yarlung Zangbo suture zone in Tibet, China

The history of convergence between the India and the Asia plates, and of their subsequent collision which triggered the Himalayan orogeny is recorded in the Yarlung Zangbo suture zone. Exposed along the southern side of the suture, turbidites of the the Jiachala Formation fed largely from the Gangdese arc have long been considered as post-collisional foreland-basin deposits based on the reported occurrence of Paleocene-early Eocene dinoflagellate cysts and pollen assemblages. Because magmatic activity in the Gangdese arc continued through the Late Cretaceous and Paleogene, this scenario is incompatible with U-Pb ages of detrital zircons invariably older than the latest Cretaceous. To solve this conundrum, we carried out detailed stratigraphic, sedimentological, paleontological, and provenance analyses in the Gyangze and Sajia areas of southern Tibet,China. The Jiachala Formation consists of submarine fan deposits that lie in fault contact with the Zongzhuo *** petrography together with U-Pb ages and Hf isotope ratios of detrital zircons indicate provenance from the Gangdese arc and central Lhasa terrane. Well preserved pollen or dinoflagellate cysts microfossils were not found in spite of careful research, and the youngest age obtained from zircon grain was ～84 Ma. Based on sedimentary facies, provenance analysis and tectonic position, we suggest that the Jiachala Formation was deposited during the Late Cretaceous(~88–84 Ma) in the trench formed along the southern edge of Asia during subduction of Neo-Tethyan oceanic lithosphere.

Role of phase separation in nanocomposite indium-tin-oxide films for transparent thermoelectric applications

We report that oxygen vacancies have a profound impact on phase separation and thermoelectric properties of ITO films grown at room *** vacancies in non-stoichiometric In1.8Sn0.2O2.5 films aided the formation of In-rich metallic *** yields a high electrical conductivity s=1540 Scm1 and Seebeck coefficient|a|=27.2 mVK1,which resulted in the highest power factor(a2 s=113.8 mW m1 K2)but low optical transmission(Top-25%).An increase in oxygen partial pressure resulted in stochiometric In1.8Sn0.2O3 films which improved the optical transparency by 300%(Top-75.4%),but power factor was reduced by-85%due to a decrease in a and s.A decrease in a was due to the lack of energy filtering of charge carriers in the stoichiometric ITO film which did not have In-rich metallic *** results showed that the valence band energy shifts with a change in oxygen partial pressure due to a decrease in carrier density,which implied a change in Fermi energy due to the reverse Moss-Burstein *** results showed that phase separation can be obtained in nanocomposite ITO films by tuning their stoichiometry simply by varying the oxygen partial pressure during deposition of thermoelectric materials at low temperatures.

Effect of age on the standardized ileal amino acid digestibility of soybean meal and canola meal in broilers

Standardized ileal digestibility coefficients(SIDC)of nitrogen(N)and amino acids(AA)in two protein sources(soybean meal[SBM]and canola meal[CM])were investigated at six broiler ages(d 7,14,21,28,35,and 42).Two assay diets were formulated to contain either SBM(413 g/kg)or CM(553 g/kg)as the sole dietary AA *** dioxide(5 g/kg)was added as an indigestible marker.A total of 696 male broilers at 1 d old were allotted to 12 replicate cages per age *** assay diet was offered to birds for 4 d prior to the ileal digesta collection on d 7(14 birds/cage),14(12 birds/cage),21(10 birds/cage),28(8 birds/cage),35(8 birds/cage)and 42(6 birds/cage),*** apparent digestibility coefficients were standardized using age-specific basal endogenous AA *** the SBM group,though the SIDC of N tended to be influenced(quadratic;P=0.075)by age,no linear or quadratic response of age effect was observed on the average SIDC of indispensable(IAA)and total AA(TAA).An age effect(quadratic;P<0.05)was observed on the average SIDC of dispensable AA(DAA)in SBM with the highest value recorded at d 7,followed by a decrease from d 14 to 28,which increased beyond d *** SIDC of some individual AA(Arg,Thr,Trp,Cys,Pro)were affected(P<0.05 or P<0.001)in a quadratic manner by *** the CM,the SIDC of N,average SIDC of IAA,DAA and TAA were influenced(quadratic;P<0.05 or P<0.001)by *** SIDC of N and average SIDC of DAA and TAA were higher from d 7 to 14,declined at d 21,and then increased beyond d *** average SIDC of IAA was low between d 7 and 28 and increased *** SIDC of individual AA were affected(linear or quadratic;P<0.05 or P<0.001)by different magnitudes by *** age influence on the SIDC AA was variable,depending on the protein source and *** results demonstrate that age-specific SIDC AA data might need consideration in broiler feed formulations.
