Acoustic signals play an essential role in machine state monitoring. Efficient processing of real-time machine acoustic signals improves production quality. However, generating semantically useful information from sound signals is an ill-defined problem that exhibits a highly non-linear relationship between sound and subjective perceptions. This paper outlines two neural network models to analyze and classify acoustic signals emanating from machines:(i) a backpropagation neural network (BPNN);and (ii) a convolutional neural network (CNN). Microphones are used to collect acoustic data for training models from a computer numeric control (CNC) lathe. Numerical experiments demonstrate that CNN performs better than the BP-NN.

Regioselective Polymerizations of α-Olefins with an α-Diamine Nickel Catalyst

Polymerizations of linear α-olefins(CnH2n, CH2=CH―R, R = Cn-2) catalyzed by early transition metals typically afford amorphous polymers with alkyl chains(Cn-2), while chain-straightening polymerizations of α-olefins with nickel-based catalysts produce semicrystalline polyolefins. Polymerizations of various α-olefins were carried out using an α-diamine nickel catalyst with a significantly distorted chelating ring. The influences of temperature, monomer concentration, and chain length of α-olefins on polyolefin microstructure were examined in detail. The α-diamine nickel catalyst realized highly regioselective 2,1-insertion of α-olefins regardless of reaction temperature and monomer concentration. Increased chain length of α-olefins led to the formation of more linear *** polyolefins with high melting temperatures(Tm) were made from α-olefins through highly regioselective 2,1-insertion and precise chain-straightening.

The synthesis of carbon supporter/nanoscale high-entropy alloys(HEAs)electromagnetic response composites by carbothermal shock method has been identified as an advanced strategy for the collaborative competition engineering of conductive/dielectric *** migration modes within HEAs as manipulated by the electronegativity,valence electron configurations and molar proportions of constituent elements determine the steady state and efficiency of equivalent ***,enlightened by skin-like effect,a reformative carbothermal shock method using carbonized cellulose paper(CCP)as carbon supporter is used to preserve the oxygencontaining functional groups(O·)of carbonized cellulose fibers(CCF).Nucleation of HEAs and construction of emblematic shell-core CCF/HEAs heterointerfaces are inextricably linked to carbon metabolism induced by O·.Meanwhile,the electron migration mode of switchable electronrich sites promotes the orientation polarization of anisotropic equivalent *** virtue of the reinforcement strategy,CCP/HEAs composite prepared by 35%molar ratio of Mn element(CCP/HEAs-Mn_(2.15))achieves efficient electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption of−51.35 dB at an ultra-thin thickness of 1.03 *** mechanisms of the resulting dielectric properties of HEAs-based EMW absorbing materials are elucidated by combining theoretical calculations with experimental characterizations,which provide theoretical bases and feasible strategies for the simulation and practical application of electromagnetic functional devices(e.g.,ultra-wideband bandpass filter).

We review the constructions of two main kinds of generalized cyclotomic binary sequences with length pq （the product with two distinct primes）. One is the White-generalized cyclotomic sequences, the other is the Ding-Helleseth（DH, for short）-generalized cyclotomic sequences. We present some new pseudo-random properties of DH-generalized cyclotomic sequences using the theory of character sums instead of the theory of cyclotomy, which is a conventional method for investigating generalized cyclotomic sequences.

We present neural compositing, a deep-learning based method for augmented reality rendering,which uses convolutional neural networks to composite rendered layers of a virtual object with a real photograph to emulate shadow and reflection effects. The method starts from estimating the lighting and roughness information from the photograph using neural networks, renders the virtual object with a virtual floor into color, shadow and reflection layers by applying the estimated lighting, and finally refines the reflection and shadow layers using neural networks and blends them with the color layer and input image to yield the output image. We assume low-frequency lighting environments and adopt PRT(precomputed radiance transfer) for layer rendering, which makes the whole pipeline differentiable and enables fast end-to-end network training with synthetic scenes. Working on a single photograph, our method can produce realistic reflections in a real scene with spatially-varying material and cast shadows on background objects with unknown geometry and material at real-time frame rates.
