Framework of SAGI Agriculture Remote Sensing and Its Perspectives in Supporting National Food Security

Remote sensing, in particular satellite imagery, has been widely used to map cropland, analyze cropping systems, monitor crop changes, and estimate yield and production. However, although satellite imagery is useful within large scale agriculture applications （such as on a national or provincial scale）, it may not supply sufifcient information with adequate resolution, accurate geo-referencing, and specialized biological parameters for use in relation to the rapid developments being made in modern agriculture. Information that is more sophisticated and accurate is required to support reliable decision-making, thereby guaranteeing agricultural sustainability and national food security. To achieve this, strong integration of information is needed from multi-sources, multi-sensors, and multi-scales. In this paper, we propose a new framework of satellite, aerial, and ground-integrated （SAGI） agricultural remote sensing for use in comprehensive agricultural monitoring, modeling, and management. The prototypes of SAGI agriculture remote sensing are ifrst described, followed by a discussion of the key techniques used in joint data processing, image sequence registration and data assimilation. Finally, the possible applications of the SAGI system in supporting national food security are discussed.

A quantum chemistry study of the first singlet(S_(1))and triplet(T_(1))excited states of phenylsulfonyl-carbazole compounds,proposed as useful thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)emitters for organic light emitting diode(OLED)applications,was performed with the quantum Equation-Of-Motion Variational Quantum Eigensolver(qEOM-VQE)and Variational Quantum Deflation(VQD)algorithms on quantum simulators and *** quantum simulations were performed with double zeta quality basis sets on an active space comprising the highest occupied and lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals(HOMO,LUMO)of the TADF *** differences in energy separations between S_(1) and T_(1)(ΔEST)predicted by calculations on quantum simulators were found to be in excellent agreement with experimental *** of 17 and 88 mHa with respect to exact energies were found for excited states by using the qEOM-VQE and VQD algorithms,respectively,to perform simulations on quantum devices without error *** utilizing state tomography to purify the quantum states and correct energy values,the large errors found for unmitigated results could be improved to differences of,at most,4 mHa with respect to exact ***,excellent agreement could be found between values ofΔEST predicted by quantum simulations and those found in experiments.

Multiview video can provide more immersive perception than traditional single 2-D video. It enables both interactive free navigation applications as well as high-end autostereoscopic displays on which multiple users can perceive genuine 3-D content without glasses. The multiview format also comprises much more visual information than classical 2-D or stereo 3-D content, which makes it possible to perform various interesting editing operations both on pixel-level and object-level. This survey provides a comprehensive review of existing multiview video synthesis and editing algorithms and applications. For each topic, the related technologies in classical 2-D image and video processing are reviewed. We then continue to the discussion of recent advanced techniques for multiview video virtual view synthesis and various interactive editing applications. Due to the ongoing progress on multiview video synthesis and editing, we can foresee more and more immersive 3-D video applications will appear in the future.

The efficient and economical exploitation of polymers with high thermal conductivity(TC)is essential to solve the issue of heat dissipation in organic ***,the experimental preparation of functional polymers with high TC remains a trial-and-error process due to the multi-degrees of freedom during the synthesis and characterization *** informatics equips machine learning(ML)as a powerful engine for the efficient design of polymers with desired ***,available polymer TC databases are rare,and establishing appropriate polymer representation is still *** this work,we propose a high-throughput screening framework for polymer chains with high TC via interpretable ML and physical feature *** hierarchical down-selection process stepwise optimizes the 320 initial physical descriptors to the final 20 dimensions and then assists the ML models to achieve a prediction accuracy R2 over 0.80,which is superior to traditional graph ***,we analyze the contribution of the individual descriptors to TC and derive the explicit equation for TC prediction using symbolic *** high TC polymer structures are mostlyπ-conjugated,whose overlapping p-orbitals enable easy maintenance of strong chain stiffness and large group ***,we establish the connections between the individual chains and the amorphous state of *** chains with high TC have strong intra-chain interactions,and their corresponding amorphous systems are favorable for obtaining a large radius of gyration and causing enhanced thermal *** proposed data-driven framework should facilitate the theoretical and experimental design of polymers with desirable properties.

Online social media networks are gaining attention worldwide,with an increasing number of people relying on them to connect,communicate and share their daily pertinent event-related *** detection is now increasingly leveraging online social networks for highlighting events happening around the world via the Internet of *** this paper,a novel Event Detection model based on Scoring and Word Embedding(ED-SWE)is proposed for discovering key events from a large volume of data streams of tweets and for generating an event summary using keywords and top-k *** proposed ED-SWE model can distill high-quality tweets,reduce the negative impact of the advent of spam,and identify latent events in the data streams ***,a word embedding algorithm is used to learn a real-valued vector representation for a predefined fixed-sized vocabulary from a corpus of Twitter *** order to further improve the performance of the Expectation-Maximization(EM)iteration algorithm,a novel initialization method based on the authority values of the tweets is also proposed in this paper to detect live events efficiently and ***,a novel automatic identification method based on the cosine measure is used to automatically evaluate whether a given topic can form a live *** conducted on a real-world dataset demonstrate that the ED-SWE model exhibits better efficiency and accuracy than several state-of-art event detection models.

The collision cross-sections(CCS)measurement using ion mobility spectrometry(IMS)in combination with mass spectrometry(MS)offers a great opportunity to increase confidence in metabolite ***,owing to the lack of sensitivity and resolution,IMS has an analytical challenge in studying the CCS values of very low-molecular-weight metabolites(VLMs250 Da).Here,we describe an analytical method using ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography(UPLC)coupled to a traveling wave ion mobility-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometer optimized for the measurement of VLMs in human urine *** experimental CCS values,along with mass spectral properties,were reported for the 174 *** experimental data included the mass-to-charge ratio(m/z),retention time(RT),tandem MS(MS/MS)spectra,and CCS *** the studied metabolites,263 traveling wave ion mobility spectrometry(TWIMS)-derived CCS values(TWCCSN2)were reported for the first time,and more than 70%of these were CCS values of *** TWCCSN2 values were highly repeatable,with inter-day variations ofinitiative,55 urinary metabolites were identified with a confidence level of *** these 55 metabolites,53(96%)were *** larger number of confirmed compounds found in this study was a result of the addition of TWCCSN2 values,which clearly increased metabolite identification confidence.

This paper considers panorama images used for street views. Their viewing angle of 360° causes pixels at the top and bottom to appear stretched and warped. Although current image completion algorithms work well, they cannot be directly used in the presence of such distortions found in panoramas of street views. We thus propose a novel approach to complete such 360° panoramas using optimizationbased projection to deal with distortions. Experimental results show that our approach is efficient and provides an improvement over standard image completion algorithms.

Alternative splicing of pre-mRNA transcripts is an important regulatory mechanism that increases the diversity of gene products in *** studies have linked specific transcript isoforms to altered drug response in cancer;however,few algorithms have incorporated splicing information into drug response *** this study,we evaluated whether basal-level splicing information could be used to predict drug sensitivity by constructing doxorubicin-sensitivity classification models with splicing and expression *** detailed splicing differences between sensitive and resistant cell lines by implementing quasi-binomial generalized linear modeling(QBGLM)and found altered inclusion of 277 skipped *** additionally conducted RNA-binding protein(RBP)binding motif enrichment and differential ex-pression analysis to characterize cis-and trans-acting elements that potentially influence doxorubicin response-mediating splicing *** results showed that a classification model built with skipped exon data exhibited strong predictive *** discovered an association between differentially spliced events and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)and observed motif enrichment,as well as differential expression of RBFOX and ELAVL RBP family *** work demonstrates the potential of incorporating splicing data into drug response algorithms and the utility of a QBGLM approach for fast,scalable identification of relevant splicing differences between large groups of samples.
