Stabilization and trajectory tracking of autonomous airship's planar motion

The stabilization and trajectory tracking problems of autonomous airship＇s planar motion are studied. By defining novel co.figuration error and velocity error, the dynamics of error systems are derived. By applying Lyapunov stability method, the state feedback co.trol laws are designed and the close-loop error systems are proved to be uniformly asymptotically stable by Matrosov theorem. In particular, the co.troller does not need knowledge on system parameters in the case of set-point stabilization, which makes the co.troller robust with respect to parameter uncertainty. Numerical simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the co.troller designed.

The heating,ventilation,and air-co.ditioning(HVAC)systems acco.nt for about half of the building energy *** optimization methodology access to optimal co.trol strategies of chiller plant has always been of great co.cern as it significantly co.tributes to the energy use of the whole HVAC *** that co.ventional centralized optimization methods relying on a central operator may suffer from dimensionality and a tremendous calculation burden,and show poorer flexibility when solving co.plex optimization issues,in this paper,a novel distributed optimization approach is presented for chiller plant *** the proposed distributed co.trol scheme,both trade-offs of co.pled subsystems and optimal allocation among devices of the same subsystem are co.sidered by developing a double-layer optimization ***-co.perative game is used to mathematically formulate the interaction between co.trolled co.ponents as well as to divide the initial system-scale nonlinear optimization problem into local-scale *** solve these tasks,strategy updating mechanisms(PSO and IPM)are *** this way,the approximate global optimal co.trolled variables of devices in the chiller plant can be obtained in a distributed and local-knowledge-enabled way without neither global information nor the central ***,the existence and effectiveness of the proposed distributed scheme were verified by simulation case *** results indicate that,by using the proposed distributed optimization scheme,a significant energy saving on a typical summer day can be obtained(1809.47 kW·h).The deviation from the central optimal solution is 3.83%.

Online traffic simulation that feeds from online information to simulate vehicle movement in real-time has recently seen substantial advancement in the development of intelligent transportation systems and urban traffic *** has been a challenging problem due to three aspects:1)The diversity of traffic patterns due to heterogeneous layouts of urban intersections;2)The nature of co.plex spatiotemporal co.relations;3)The requirement of dynamically adjusting the parameters of traffic models in a real-time *** cater to these challenges,this paper proposes an online traffic simulation framework called automated urban traffic operation simulation via meta-learning(AUTOSIM).In particular,simulation models with various intersection layouts are automatically generated using an open-source simulation tool based on static traffic geometry *** a meta-learning technique,AUTOSIM enables an automated learning process for dynamic model settings of traffic scenarios featured with different spatiotemporal ***,AUTOSIM is capable of adapting traffic model parameters acco.ding to dynamic traffic information in real-time by using a *** co.putational experiments,we demonstrate the effectiveness of the meta-learningbased framework that is capable of providing reliable supports to real-time traffic simulation and dynamic traffic operations.

The cloud downloading scheme, first proposed by us in 2011, has effectively optimized hundreds of millions of users＇ downloading experiences. Also, people start to build a variety of useful Internet services on top of cloud downloading. In brief, by using cloud facilities to download （and cache） the requested file from the ＂best-effort＂ Internet on behalf of the user, cloud downloading ensures the data availability and remarkably enhances the data delivery speed. Although this scheme seems simple and straightforward, designing a real-world cloud downloading system involves co.plicated and subtle trade-offs （between deployment co.t and user experience） when serving a large number of users： 1） how to plan the cloud cache capacity to achieve a high and affordable cache hit ratio, 2） how to accelerate the data delivery from the cloud to numerous users, 3） how to handle the dense user requests for highly popular files, and 4） how to judge a potential downloading failure of the cloud. This paper addresses these design trade-offs from a practical perspective, based on big data from a nationwide co.mercial cloud downloading system, i.e., Tencent QQXuanfeng. Its running traces help us find reasonable design strategies and parameters, and its real performances co.firm the efficacy of our design. Our study provides solid experiences and valuable heuristics for the developers of similar and relevant systems.

It is necessary to study how vehicles influence the vortex-excited resonance of vehicle-bridge systems,because lock-in wind speed is low and vortex-excited resonance is sensitive to any change in the main girder *** on the shanghai Bridge over the Yangtse River,the vortex-excited resonance of a 1∶60 scale sectional model was tested in a TJ-1wind tunnel,with or without vehicles at the attack angle of 0°,+3 and–3°,*** co.version relationships between the resonant amplitudes of the sectional model and that of the prototype bridge were also established by mode shape *** result indicates that:1)for the bridge with vehicles,the vertical vortex-excited resonance is acco.panied by torsion vibration with the same frequency,and vice versa,2)the amplitude of vortex-excited resonance of the bridge with vehicles is much larger than that of the bridge without vehicles,and 3)the lock-in wind speed of the vortex-excited resonance beco.es smaller due to the disturbance of *** is obvious that vehicles bring about changes in the aerodynamic shape of the main ***,the influence of vehicles on vortex-excited resonance performance of vehicle-bridge systems,in terms of both amplitude and mode,should not be ignored.

Microfuidic systems have been widely utilized in high-throughput biology analysis,but thedificulties in iquid manipulation and cell cultivation limit its *** work has developed a new digital microfluidic(DMF)system for on-demand droplet *** adopting anextending-depth-of-field(EDoF)phase modulator to the optical system,the entire depth of themicrofluidic channel can be co.ered in one image without any refocusing process,ensuring that 95%of the particles in the droplet are captured within three shots together with shaking *** this system,suspension droplets are generated and droplets co.taining only oneyeast cll can be reco.nized,then each single cell is cultured in the array of the *** growth in cell numbers and the green fluorescence protein(GFP)production via fluorescence imaging,the single cell with the highest production can be *** results haveproved the heterogeneity of yeast cells,and showed that the co.bined system can be applied forrapid single-cell sorting,cultivation,and analysis.
