The struct.ral effects on the defective formation and the crystal mor-phology in the crystal of urea have been studied. The face development is discussedfrom the viewpoint of the molecular res.nance struct.res.and defects, and the form oflarge strained fields is also discussed from the existence of the struct.ral channels alongthe c-axis.

The title compound (γ-CH3C5H4N)2Zn(S2C2 (CN )2 ) crystallizes in theorthorhombic system, space group C2221, with a= 10. 069 (2), b= 14. 629 (4), c=11. 923(4) A, V= 1756. 2(3) A3, Dc= 1. 48g/cm3, Z=4, Mr= 391.81. λ(MoKa)= 0. 71069 A, μ= 16. 6 cm--l, F(000) = 800, final R= 0. 055 and Rw= 0. 066 for.1481 observed reflections with I≥3σ(I). In the (γ-CH3C5H4N)2Zn(S2C2(CN)2 ) complex, Zn2+ is coordinated by two nitrogen atoms from two 4--methylpyridine ligands andtwo sulfur atoms from maleonitriledithiol ligand. The powder tests show a frequencydoubling effect 2. 4 times as great as KH2PO4, which is in consistency with theoreticalcalculations

The title compound was synthesized from the manganese(Ⅶ ), titanium(Ⅲ ) and molybdate. It was crystallized as K3Na3[MnMo9O32,). 6H2O in the rhombohedral space group R32(155 # ), with a=b= 15. 521 (4), c= 12. 417 (6) A γ=120. 00 (1 )°. V= 2590. 1 (1 ) A 3, Z= 3, M.= 1778. 08, Dc= 3. 396g/cm3, λ(MoKa)=0. 71073A, μ= 42. 5 cm-1, F(000) ~ 2754 and the struct.re was determined by Xray diffraction methods, refined to a res.dual of 0. 048 for 1137 independent observablereflections with I≥3σ(I). There are Potassium, sodium canons, [MnMo9O32]6- anion, and crystalline water molecules in the complex. The anion may be construct.dfrom a hypothetical MnIVMo6 Anderson species by removing three alternate MoO6, octehedra and placing three MoO6, octahedra above and below the MnMo3 unit, thus the res.lting struct.re has D3 symmetry.

The syntheses and struct.res.of trinuclear Mo (W)-Fe-S cluster[MFe2S2(CO)8 (S,CNSEt2)]- (M=Mo, W), hexanuclear Fe-S cluster [Fe6S6-(CO)12]2- and undecanuclear Cu-Fe-S cluster [Cu5Fe6S6(CO)18(PPh3)2]-, containingFe2S2(CO)6-units bave been summarized and the important vestiges left in their struc-tures.reflecting the formation processes of the clusters have been found and *** inspecting some other typical clusters a regular unit construct.on in the forma-tion of the metal cluster compounds containing Fe2S2(CO)6-units has been figured outand applied to speculate and predict several new cluster compounds containing Fe2S2(CO)6-units.

The crystal struct.re of the title compound C 8H 16 CuN 8Ni has been determined by single crystal X ray diffraction. The crystal is triclinic with space group P1, a=6.494(3), b=7.270(4), c=7.936(5) , α=106.67(3), β=91.33(4), γ=106.80(6)°, V=341.3(3)  3, Z=1, M r=346.54, F(000)=177, μ =2\^933mm -1 , D c =1.686 Mg/m 3. The final R factor is 0.0603 for 1214 unique observed reflections 〔 I≥2σ(I) 〕. The struct.re consists of 〔Cu(en) 2〕 2+ (en=ethylenediamine) cations and 〔Ni(CN) 4〕 2- anions linked together by two of the CN groups (the remaining two act as unidentate ligands) to form infinite chains, in the chain, the hydrogen bonds of N(4)…H-N(5) exist,with distance 3.148 , at the same time the hydrogen bonds of N(4)…H-N(7a) and N(5)-H…N(1a) (a: x-1,y-1,z-1 ) between the interchains also exist, with distances of 3.160 and 3.124 , so it forms a three\|dimensional struct.re of the title compound.

The reactions of nickel group M 2+ with thiolate and phosphine in MeOH yield mononuclear and binuclear complexes. Ni 2 (PEt 3) 2 (pdt) 2 (pdt = 1, 2-propanedithiolate) was synthesized and analyzed by single crystal X-ray diffraction method. The complex is monoclinic with space group P2 1/c, M r = 566. 16 a = 18. 737 (5), b = 9.906(4), c = 14. 540(10) Å; V = 2697. 65 Å 3, D c = 1. 394 g/cm 3 for Z = 4; the final R(R w) = 0. 062(0. 072). The complex is a dimer, where the Ni atoms are linked by two sulphur atoms from SC 3H 6S 2- (pdt 2-) ligands and each Ni atom is four-coordinated by one P and three S atoms with distorted square-planar geometry. The Ni -Ni distance is 3. 025 Å , the average Ni-S, Ni-P distances are 2. 187 and 2. 194 Å , res.ectively.

The new binuclear tungsten compound (Et4N)2W2S4(tdt)2 (H2tdt=H2S2C6H3CH3) (I) with Mr=1067. 97 has been prepared and characterized by IR andX-ray single crystal analysis. Compound (I) has been synthesized by two routes, ofwhich one was from the reaction of (NH4)WS4 with H2tdt, and the other is from lig-and substitution reaction of W2S4 (dip)2 by H2tdt. The compound contains a typical[W2S4j2+ moiety with a W-W bond of 2. 862(2) A. Its crystallographic data are: or-thorhombic, space group Pbca, a=23. 995 (9), b=31. 496 (7), c=10. 537 (5) A, V=7950(8) A3, Z=8, Dc= 1. 78 g·cm-3, p(MoKa)= 63. 37 cm-1 and R=0. 062 for1926 reflections with I≥3d(I). Synthesis, struct.re and reaction of the compound arediscussed in this paper.
