A titanosauriform dinosaur： fukuititan nipponensis gen. et sp. nov. is erected based on the incomplete skeleton. It is characterized by elongated asymmetric tooth crown with a weak or absent labial groove and without lingual concavity; stalk-like epipophysis of cervical vertebra; the transverse width of the proximal end of the humerus approximately 32% of the humerus length; metacarpal longer, approximately 48 % of the radius and the distal end of the ischia slightly expanded. It represents the first relatively complete titanosauriform skeleton found from Japan. The discovery of fukuititan indicates that the diversity and geographical distribution of Titanosauriformes are much higher than the previous thought.

In this study, a crack initiation and propagation behavior of Sn-5Sb lead-free solder under low-cycle fatigue is discussed. Cyclic push-pull loading tests with a single-hole specimen have been conducted at 313 K to investigate the crack initiation and propagation behavior of Sn-SSb solder which has a higher melting point temperature than that of Sn- Ag-Cu solders. A fatigue life ratio correlates with the crack length within a small scatter. Crack initiates at the early stage, and almost all the life period is crack propagation process independent of strain range and strain rate. The crack propa- gation rate depends on the strain range and the strain rate. The adaptation of J-integral value for Sn-5Sb solder is also discussed. J-integral value is a suitable parameter for crack propagation rate evaluation.

The inclusion complex formation of α-CD, β-CD, and γ-CD with various water-soluble polymers has beeninvestigated, and the relationship between the chain cross-sectional areas of the polymers and the diameters of the cavities ofcyclodextrins (molecular recognition) was found. Polyrotaxanes and tubular polymers were prepared on the basis ofmolecular recognition. Several kinds of polymers having tetraphenylporphyrin (TPP) and paramagnetic metallotetraphenyl-porphyrin (AgTPP, CuTPP, VOTPP or ZnTPP) have been prepared by radical polymerization of the correspondingmonomers. Visible spectra of these polymers show hypochromism in the Sorer bands of TPP moieties as compared withthose of monomers. Polymer effects were observed in the magnetic behavior and oxygen adsorption of paramagneticmetallotetraphenylporphyrin moieties. Moreover, polymer effects on photophysical and photochemical behavior were foundin the amphiphilic polymers covalently tethered with small amounts of zinc(Ⅱ)-tetraphenylporphyrin (ZnTPP).

AIM To investigate the efficacy and safety of emergency endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) in elderly patients with acute cholangitis. METHODS From June 2008 to May 2016, emergency ERCPs were performed in 207 cases of acute cholangitis at our institution. Patients were classified as elderly if they were aged 80 years and older(n = 102); controls were under the age of 80 years(n = 105). The patients' medical records were retrospectively reviewed for comorbidities, laboratory data, etiology of cholangitis(presence of biliary stones, biliary stricture and malignancy), details of the ERCP(therapeutic approaches, technical success rates, procedure duration), ERCP-related complications and mortality. RESULTS The frequency of comorbidities was higher in the elderly group than the control group(91.2% vs 67.6%). Periampullary diverticulum was observed in the elderly group at a higher frequency than the control group(24.5% vs 13.3%). Between the groups, there was no significant difference in the technical success rates(95.1% vs 95.2%) or endoscopicprocedure durations. With regard to the frequency of ERCP-related complications, there was no significant difference between the two groups(6.9% vs 6.7%), except for a lower rate of post-ERCP pancreatitis in the elderly group than in the control group(1.0% vs 3.8%). Neither angiographic nor surgical intervention was required in any of the cases with ERCP-related complications. There was no mortality during the observational periods. CONCLUSION Emergency ERCP for acute cholangitis can be performed safely even in elderly patients aged 80 years and older.

First-principles calculations of the dissolution and coalescence properties of Pt nanoparticle ORR catalysts： The effect of nanoparticle shape

The degradation of Pt nanoparticles （NPs） in fuel cell cathodes leads to the loss of the precious metal catalyst. While the effect of NP size on Pt dissolution has been studied extensively, the influence of NP shape is largely unexplored. Because of the recent development of experimental methods to control the shape of metal NPs, rational guidelines/insights on the shape effects on NP stability are imperative. In this study, first-principles calculations based on density functional theory were conducted to determine the stability of 1-2 nm Pt NPs against Pt dissolution and coalescence with respect to NP shape. Toward dissolution, the stability of the Pt NPs increases in the following order： Hexagonal close-packed 〈 icosahedral 〈 cuboctahedral 〈 truncated octahedral. This trend is attributed to the synergy of the oxygen adsorption strength and the local coordination of the Pt atoms. With respect to coalescence, the size of a NP is related to its propensity to coalesce or detach/migrate to form larger particles. The stability of the Pt NPs was found to increase in the following order： Hexagonal close-packed 〈 truncated octahedral 〈 cuboctahedral 〈 icosahedral, and was correlated with the cohesive energies of the particles. By combining the characteristic stabilities of the shapes, new ＂metal-interfaced＂ Pt-based coreshell architectures were proposed that should be more stable than pure Pt nanoparticles with respect to both dissolution and coalescence.

Our previous study showed that the frictional drag decreases with increasing void fraction at Re〉1300, while it increases at Re 〈 1000. Decomposition of the Reynolds shear stress also implied that bubbles induce isotropy of turbulence. In order to confirm our previous analysis and to further investigate flow fields in the vicinity of bubbles, we analyze velocity fluctuations on the quadrant space in the streamwise and transverse directions （u′-v′ plane）. Here, we focus on two specific Reynolds numbers （at Re≈900 and ≈1410, which are close to the laminar-to-turbulent transition regime） and discuss bubble effects on sweep （u′〉 0, v′〈 0 ） and ejection （u′〈 0, v′〉 0） events as a function of the Reynolds number. We also illustrate velocity fluctuations in the vicinity of an individual bubble and a swarm of bubbles on the u′- v′ coordinates. The results show that a bubble swarm suppresses the velocity fluctuations at Re≈1410.

An inverse analysis algorithm is proposed for estimating liquid phase flowfield from measurement data of bubble motion. This kind of technology will be applied in future forvarious estimation of fluid flow in rivers, lakes, sea surface flow, and also microscopic channelflow as the problem-handling in civil, mechanical, electronic, and chemical engineering. Therelationship between the dispersion motion and the carrier phase flow is governed and expressed bythe trans-lational motion equation of spherical dispersion. The equation consists of all the forcecomponents including inertia, added inertia, drag, lift, pressure gradient force and gravity *** this equation enables us to estimate the carrier phase flow structure using only the data ofthe dispersion motioa Whole field liquid flow structure is also estimated using spatial or temporalinterpolation method. In order to verify this principle, the Taylor-Green vortex flow, and theKarman vortex shedding from a square cylinder have been chosea The results show that the combinationof the inverse analysis and Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) with the spatio-temporalpostprocessing algorithm could reconstruct well the carrier phase flow of the gas-liquid two-phaseflow.

Subspace clustering methods which embrace a self-expressive model that represents each data point as a linear combination of other data points in the dataset provide powerful unsupervised learning ***,when dealing with large datasets,representation of each data point by referring to all data points via a dictionary suffers from high computational *** alleviate this issue,we introduce a parallelizable multi-subset based self-expressive model(PMS)which represents each data point by combining multiple subsets,with each consisting of only a small proportion of the *** adoption of PMS in subspace clustering(PMSSC)leads to computational advantages because the optimization problems decomposed over each subset are small,and can be solved efficiently in ***,PMSSC is able to combine multiple self-expressive coefficient vectors obtained from subsets,which contributes to an improvement in *** experiments on synthetic and real-world datasets show the efficiency and effectiveness of our approach in comparison to other methods.

In this paper we address the problem of geometric multi-model fitting using a few weakly annotated data points,which has been little studied so *** weak annotating(WA),most manual annotations are supposed to be correct yet inevitably mixed with incorrect *** WA data can naturally arise through interaction in various *** example,in the case of homography estimation,one can easily annotate points on the same plane or object with a single label by observing the *** by this,we propose a novel method to make full use of WA data to boost multi-model fitting ***,a graph for model proposal sampling is first constructed using the WA data,given the prior that WA data annotated with the same weak label has a high probability of belonging to the same *** incorporating this prior knowledge into the calculation of edge probabilities,vertices(i.e.,data points)lying on or near the latent model are likely to be associated and further form a subset or cluster for effective proposal *** generated proposals,α-expansion is used for labeling,and our method in return updates the *** procedure works in an iterative *** experiments validate our method and show that it produces noticeably better results than state-of-the-art techniques in most cases.
