OBJECTIVE:To explore biomarkers of Pien Tze Huang(片仔癀)that ameliorated the symptoms of hepatic ***:Two groups of carbon tetrachloride-induced hepatic fibrosis(HF)mice model were co.structed in our study:one group received PZH treatment and another group received no *** performed this study to investigate the role of PZH in the regulation process of hepatic ***:We identified 31 down-regulated and 39 upregulated mi RNAs using small RNA-seq *** RNA-Seq data analysis,our study revealed 7 significant target genes(Sp4,Slc2 a6,Tln2,Hmga2,Ank3,Pax9,Fgf9).The results of real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis suggested that the expression level of 6 genes(Sp4,Tln2,Hmga2,Ank3,Pax9,Fgf9)were down-regulated co.pared to co.trol *** the other hand,the expression level of Slc2 a6 appeared to be *** protein mass spectrometry showed that PZH group had lower protein expression of Tln2 co.pared to co.trol ***:We identified 7 genes that were significantly related to PZH response in HF mice using multiple co.joint analysis *** genes co.ld participate in underlying regulation mechanism of hepatic fibrosis during PZH treatment.

Objective： TO investigate the anti-angiogenic effects of Pien Tze Huang （片仔癀, PZH） in vivo and in vitro. ***： Human umbilical vein endothelial cells （HUVECs） were treated with 0 mg/mL, 0.25 mg/mL, 0.5 mg/mL, and 1 mg/mL of PZH for 24 h, 48 h and 72 h, respectively. Chicken embryo chorioallantoic membrane （CAM） model was used to evaluate in vivo angiogenesis. An ECMatrix gel system was used to evaluate in vitro angiogenesis by examining the tube formation of HUVECs. 3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay was performed to determine HUVEC viability. Cell density of HUVECs was observed by phase- co.trast microsco.y. HUVEC migration was determined by wound healing method. The mRNA and protein expression of vascular endothelial growth factor A （VEGF-A） and basic fibroblast growth factor （bFGF） in both HUVEC and human co.on adenocaminoma cells （HT-29） was examined by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） and enzyme linked immune sorbent assay （ELISA）, respectively. Results： PZH treatment significantly reduced the total number of blood vessels co.pared with the untreated co.trol in the chicken embryos and resulted in a significant decrease in capillary tube formation and cell density of HUVECs （P〈0.05）. In addition, treatment with 0.25-1 mg/mL of PZH for 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h respectively reduced cell viability by 9%-52%, 24%-87% or 25%-87%, co.pared with the untreated co.trol cells （P〈0.05）. Moreover, PZH treatment decreased the migration of HUVECs. Furthermore, PZH close-dependently suppressed the expression of VEGF-A and bFGF on both mRNA and protein levels （P〈0.05）. co.clusion： PZH co.ld inhibit angiogenesis in vivo in CAM model and in vitro on HUVECs, suggesting that inhibiting tumor angiogenesis might be one of the mechanisms by which PZH treats cancer.

Eco.omically separating 1-propanol(NPA)from water is an emergent issue for producing pharmaceutical intermediates such as n-propyl acetate,n-propylamine and so *** this work,fourionic liquids(ILs)1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium thiocyanate([EMIM][SCN]),1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate([BMIM][BF_(4)]),1,3-dimethylimidazolium methylsulfate([MMIM][MS]),1,3-dimethylimidazolium dimethylphosphate([MMIM][DMP])were introduced as potential entrainers for separating NPA–water azeotropic *** results show that[MMIM][MS]is the most suitable entrainer co.pared with other ILs from the analysis of vapor-liquid equilibrium and relative *** extractive distillation process with the entrainer regeneration system of flash tank and stripper was employed and optimized by the two-step optimization *** results show that total annual co.t and energy co.sumption per product flow rate were reduced by 39.79%and 60.47%co.pared with *** addition,the efficiency indicator of extractive section,efficiency indicator of per tray in extractive section,carbon dioxide emissions were also selected as the evaluation index for selection of operating parameters and calculated for different *** co.(2)emissions of the optimal design can be reduced by 60.98%from environmental aspect.

Objective:To evaluate the effects of Huoxin Pill(活心丸,HXP)on cardiac fibrosis and heart failure(HF)in isoproterenol(ISO)-induced HF ***:Thirty Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups including co.trol,HF,isosorbide mononitrate(ISMN),HXP low(HXP-L),and HXP high(HXP-H)groups(n=6 for each group)acco.ding to the co.plete randomization *** were pretreated with ISMN(5 mg/kg daily),low co.centration of HXP(10 mg/kg daily)or high co.centration of HXP(30 mg/kg daily)or equal volume of saline by intragastric administration for 1 week,followed by intraperitoneal injection of ISO(10 mg/kg,14 days),and co.tinually intragastric administrated with above medicines or saline for additional 6 *** effects of HXP treatment on the cardiac function,heart weight index(HWI),pathological changes,and co.lagen co.tent were further ***,the role of HXP on activation of transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)/Smads pathway was further explored using immunohistochemistry(IHC)and Westernblot ***:HXP treatment significantly alleviated the decrease of ejection fraction(EF)and fractional shortening(FS),while decreased the elevation of left ventricular end-systolic volume(LVESV)in ISO-induced HF rats(Pco.lagenⅠand co.lagenⅢprotein expression in cardiac tissues of ISO-induced HF ***,HXP treatment significantly down-regulated the increase of TGF-β1 and p-Smad2/3 protein expression in cardiac tissues of HF rats(P<0.05),while did not affect the expression of total Smad2/***:HXP attenuated heart failure and cardiac fibrosis in ISO-induced HF rats by suppression of TGF-β1/Smad2/3 pathway.

Telomere length is a reliable biomarker for health and longevity prediction in both humans and *** co.mon neuromodulation techniques,including deep brain stimulation(DBS)and optogenetics,have excellent spatial resolution and depth penetration but require implementation of electrodes or optical ***,it is important to develop methods for noninvasive modulation of telomere ***,we reported on a new method for decelerating telomere shortening using noninvasive ultrasound deep brain stimulation(UDBS).Firstly,we found that UDBS co.ld activate the telomerase-associated proteins in normal ***,in the Alzheimer’s disease mice,UDBS was observed to decelerate telomere shortening of the co.tex and myocardial tissue and to effectively improve spatial learning and memory ***,UDBS was found to significantly slow down telomere shortening of the co.tex and peripheral blood,and improve motor and co.nitive functions in aging ***,transcriptome analysis revealed that UDBS upregulated the neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction ***,the present findings established the critical role of UDBS in delaying telomere shortening and indicated that ultrasound modulation of telomere length may co.stitute an effective therapeutic strategy for aging and aging-related diseases.
