Detection of landuse/landcover changes using remotely-sensed data

We evaluated the use of spatial sampling and satellite images to identify deforested areas in Wonju, South Korea. The changes in land cover were identified using a grid of sample points overlaid onto medium and high-resolution remote sensing （RS） satellite images. Deforestation identified in this way （hereafter, RSD） was compared to administrative data on deforestation. We also compared high-resolution satellite images （HR-RSD） and actual deforestation based on categories which were Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change data. RSD generated by medium-resolution satellite images overesti- mated the amount of deforested area by 1.5-2.4 times the actual deforested area, whereas RSD generated by HR- RSD underestimated the amount of deforested area by 0.4-0.9 times the actual area. The highest degree of matching （90 %） was found in HR-RSD with a grid interval of 500 m and the accuracy of HR-RSD was the highest, at 67 %. The results also revealed that the largest cause of deforestation was the establishment of settlements followed by conversion to cropland and grassland. We conclude that for the identification of deforestation using satellite images, HR-RSD with a grid interval of 500 m is most suitable.

Segmentally assembled bridges are increasinglyﬁnding engineering applications in recent years due to their unique advantages,especially as urban *** loads are one of the most important variable loads acting on bridge ***,the inﬂuence of overloaded vehicles on existing assembled bridge structures is an urgent concern at *** paper establishes theﬁnite element model of the segmentally assembled bridge based on ABAQUS software and analyzes the inﬂuence of vehicle overload on an assembled girder bridge ***,aﬁnite element model corresponding to the target bridge is established based on ABAQUS software,and the load is controlled to simulate vehicle movement in each area of the traveling zone at different ***-ond,the key cross-sections of segmental girder bridges are monitored in real time based on the force character-istics of continuous girder bridges,and they are compared with the simulation ***,a material damage ontology model is introduced,and the structural damage caused by different overloading rates is compared and *** show that theﬁnite element modeling method is accurate by comparing with on-site measured data,and it is suitable for the numerical simulation of segmental girder bridges;Dynamic sensors installed at 1/4L,1/2L,and 3/4L of the segmental girder main beams could be used to identify the dynamic response of segmental girder bridges;The bottom plate of the segmental girder bridge is mostly damaged at the position where the length of the precast beam section changes and the midspan *** the increase in load,damage in the direction of the bridge develops faster than that in the direction of the transverse ***ﬁndings of this study can guide maintenance departments in the management and maintenance of bridges and vehicles.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is characterized by symptoms of excessive fat accumulation and steatosis in the liver without alcohol intake in *** associated pathogenic mechanism is not completely understood and there are no specific drugs for patients with *** and diet adherence are the best options for the management of NAFLD *** associated analysis models of adherence to these interventions are used to assess their effectiveness in the management of NAFLD patients using specificity,sensitivity,and so *** have indicated that the relative ratio of NAFLD can be reduced by physical activity with diet *** the future,the pathogenesis of NAFLD should be clarified with stratified efforts to develop appropriate drugs,and both exercise and diet adherence should be optimized using better questionnaire design and evaluation models for patients with NAFLD.

Background The cryptic nature of pink bollworm Pectinophora gossypiella(Saunders)larvae enables its reduced vul-nerability to insecticidal ***,the development of resistance against Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt)toxins posed a serious threat to transgenic cotton *** necessitated determining the critical timing of spray applications on the control *** study assessed the influence of egg age(freshly laid ***-day-old)and the loca-tion of larvae(directly exposed to the insecticide residues on the boll rind *** inside the bolls)on insecticide control *** The results revealed a significant decrease in the ovicidal activity of tested insecticides with an increase in the age of eggs from one day old to three days old(paired t-test,P80%mortality)than the larvae exposed after they had bur-rowed inside the bolls(management on a sustainable basis.

Evolutionary game analysis of shared parking market diffusion under government management

The imbalance between supply and demand in urban settings poses a significant barrier to the sustainable advancement of urban *** parking serves as a viable solution to mitigate these ***,for its sustained growth,a regulatory mechanism enforced by the government is *** promote shared parking market diffusion,we construct an evolutionary game model that incorporates the government,enterprises and parking *** explores stabilization strategies for these stakeholders and identifies multiple equilibrium states under different parameter *** results show that the rate and stability of these evolutionary strategies are constrained by the mutual benefits derived by the three ***,such stakeholders are reciprocally influenced by their willingness to engage in shared parking to varying *** subsidies serve as a determining factor for the strategic choices made by both enterprises and demanders,albeit at different evolutionary *** who have a higher value of time tend to park on-street,thereby influencing enterprise *** foster the long-term growth of the shared parking market,the government must enact appropriate subsidy policies,maintain consistent regulations and advocate for increased subsidies for parking demanders to reduce the effect of temporal heterogeneity on parking behavioural choices.

Screw connection is a type most commonly applied to timber *** important commercial tree species in China,Masson pine and Chinese fir have the potential to prepare wood *** this study,the effects of the diameter of the self-tapping screw and the guiding bores on the nail holding performance on different sections of Masson pine and Chinese fir dimension lumbers were mainly *** results showed that:(1)The nail holding strength of the tangential section was the maximum,followed by that of the radial section,and that of the cross section was the minimum.(2)The nail holding strength of Masson pine was higher than that of Chinese fir.(3)The nail holding strength grew with the increase in the diameter of self-tapping screws,but a large diameter would lead to plastic cracking of the timber,thus further affecting the nail holding *** pine and Chinese fir reached the maximum nail holding strength when the diameter of self-tapping screws was 3.5 mm.(4)Under a large diameter of screws,prefabricated guiding bores could mitigate timber cracking and improve its nail holding strength.(5)Prefabricated guiding bores were more necessary for the screw connection of Masson *** results obtained could provide a scientific basis for the screw connection design of Masson pine and Chinese fir timber structures.

Differences in forest attributes and carbon sequestration of each organ and layer between broadleaved and conifer forests of central and outer urban areas are not well-defined,hindering the precise management of urban forests and improvement of *** clarify the effect of two forest types with different urbanization intensities,we determined differences in vegetation composition and diversity,structural traits,and carbon stocks of 152 plots(20 m×20 m)in urban park forests in Changchun,which had the largest green quantity and carbon density *** found that 1.1-fold thicker and healthier trees,and 1.6-to 2.0-fold higher,healthier,denser,and more various shrubs but with sparser trees and herbs occurred in the central urban forests(pforests exhibited 30–70%obviously higher tree aboveground carbon sequestration(including stem and leaf)and 20%bigger trees,especially in the outer forests(pforests of both the inner and outer forests(pforest of the central urban area and conifer forest of the outer urban area,*** findings can be used to guide precise management and accelerate the improvement of urban carbon function in Northeast China in the future.

Background:White-tailed deer(Odocoileus virginianus)have increased during the past century in the *** deer densities may reduce tree regeneration,leading to forests that are understocked,where growing space is not filled completely by *** deer pressure,a major transition in eastern forests has resulted in increased tree ***:To reconcile conflicting trends,we applied generalized linear mixed models to compare deer densities during 1982 and then 1996 to tree stocking after about 30 years and 15 years of potential reductions of small trees by deer,for the entire eastern US and 11 ecological *** also compiled deer browse preferences and compared preferred browse with trends in tree species composition from historical(1620–1900)and current tree ***:The forested area of the eastern US,including a prairie ecological province,was equally well-stocked(52%)and understocked(48%)during 2011–2017 tree *** 1982 deer densities,38%of area had deer densities>5.8 deer/km2 and for 1996,66%of area had deer densities>5.8 deer/*** densities and tree stocking were not related significantly for the entire eastern *** may reduce tree stocking in the Laurentian Mixed forest;however,this province had both lower deer densities and greater tree stocking than other ***,major tree species trends did not match tree browse ***:Rather than too few trees,too many trees is an ecological problem where historical open oak and pine forests had herbaceous understories,and currently,trees have captured growing *** attribute other drivers than deer to explain this transition.

In first aid, traditional information interchange has numerous shortcomings. For example, delayed information and disorganized departmental communication cause patients to miss out on critical rescue time. Information technology is becoming more and more mature, and as a result, its use across numerous industries is now standard. China is still in the early stages of developing its integration of emergency medical services with modern information technology;despite our progress, there are still numerous obstacles and constraints to overcome. Our goal is to integrate information technology into every aspect of emergency patient care, offering robust assistance for both patient rescue and the efforts of medical personnel. Information may be communicated in a fast, multiple, and effective manner by utilizing modern information technology. This study aims to examine the current state of this field’s development, current issues, and the field’s future course of development.
