Macro-and Micro-Properties of Two Natural Marine Clays in China

In this paper,macro-and micro-properties of natural marine clay in two different and representative regions of China are investigated in *** addition to in-situ tests,soil samples are collected by use of Shelby tubes for laboratory examination in Shanghai and Zhuhai respectively,two coastal cities in *** the laboratory tests,macro-properties such as consolidation characteristics and undrained shear strength are ***,X-ray diffraction test,scanning electron microscope test,and mercury intrusion test are carried out for the investigation of their micro-properties including clay minerals and *** study shows that：（1）both clays are Holocene series formations,classified as either normal or underconsolidated *** initial gradient of the stress-strain curves shows their increase with increasing consolidation pressure;however,the Shanghai and the Zhuhai clays are both structural soils with the latter shown to be more structured than the *** a result,the Zhuhai clay shows strain softening behavior at low confining pressures,but strain hardening at high *** contrast,the Shanghai clay mainly manifests strain-hardening.（2）An activity ranges from 0.75 to 1.30 for the Shanghai marine clay and from 0.5 to 0.85 for the Zhuhai marine *** main clay mineral is illite in the Shanghai clay and kaolinite in the Zhuhai *** Zhuhai clay is mainly characterized by a flocculated structure,while the typical Shanghai clay shows a dispersed *** porous structure of the Shanghai clay is characterized mainly by large and medium-sized pores,while the Zhuhai clay porous structure is mainly featured by small and medium-sized *** differences in their macro-and micro-properties can be attributed to different sedimentation environments.

Degradation of Chlorpyrifos and Fipronil in Rice from Farm to Fork and Risk Assessment

Degradation of pesticide residues （chlorpyrifos and fipronil） in rice from farm to fork and risk assessment for human health were studied to reveal the magnitude of risks faced by different populations of interest, so that appropriate measures can be taken to control the risks, and to refine and update the human health risk assessment data while helping to determine the maximum residue level （MRL） value and harvest interval. Different dosages and treatments were used in field trials for the harvest residue test. Residue levels of postharvest-applied chlorpyrifos and fipronil during storage, exposure to sunlight, washing and boiling processes （boiled rice） were investigated for brown rice. The dietary exposure evaluation model （DEEM） was employed to estimate acute and chronic risks faced by different populations of interest. Percent of reference dose （POR） and margin of exposure （MOE） were calculated. A positive correlation between pesticide residues and the dosage and application frequency of pesticide was found in the field trials. Risk quotients indicate that multiple applications and double dosages of chlorpyrifos increase the risks to the entire population and prolong exposures to toxic concentrations. The concentration of pesticide residues decreased as a function of time, after sunlight exposure, storage, washing, and boiling processes. 91.6 and 96.16% degradations were achieved at the end of the experimental period for fipronil and chlorpyrifos, respectively. The boiling process played an important role in the degradation of these pesticides. The result of risk assessment to human health showed that harvest residues of chlorpyrifos in rice and acute dietary risks of chlopyrifos were of concern. The acute dietary （food only） risk estimated for chlorpyrifos as percent of acute population adjusted dose （aPAD） was frequently over 100%. Thermal treatment of the pyridyl side chain functionalized tetramethyl cyclopen- tadiene C5Me4CH2（C5H4N） with Fe（CO）5, Ru3（CO）12 and Mo（CO）6 in refluxing xylene respectively gave the corresponding dinuclear metal carbonyl complexes 1～3. These complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and IH NMR spectra. The molecular structures of 1～3 were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.

The molecular mechanisms of energy status related to the umami taste of postharvest shiitake mushrooms during spore release remain poorly *** this study,the variations of energy status and umami taste of mushrooms were measured at 25℃.At 24 h storage,slight spore prints of mushrooms were first pictured,respiration *** ATP decrease and ADP increase were also observed as the initiation of postharvest senescence(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the activities of phosphohexose isomerase,succinate dehydrogenase,glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and cytochrome c oxidase and the contents of umami nucleotides and amino acids were maintained at higher levels in mushrooms with spore ***,the equivalent umami concentration(EUC)was strongly correlated with energy levels(R=0.80).Fifteen related gene expression levels in the energy metabolism pathway were ***1 and LeAK were significantly expressed in the conversion of ATP into AMP and played key roles in connecting the energy state and umami *** results provided valuable insights on the umami taste associated with energy metabolism mechanism during postharvest mushroom spore release.

Evaluation of repeated exposure systemic toxicity test of PVC with new plasticizer on rats via dual parenteral routes

Application of Current Hapten in the Production of Broad Specificity Antibodies Against Organophosphorus Pesticides

Diethylphosphono acetic acid （DPA） was used as a current hapten to generate broad specificity polycolonal antibodies against a group of organophosphorus pesticides. Six New Zealand white rabbits were immunized with immunogens synthesized by the active ester method （AEM） or 1-ethyl-3-（3-dimethylaminopropyl）-carbodimide method （EDC）. The titers of antisera reached 25 600 by AEM and 6 400 by EDC, respectively. Polyclonal antibodies raised against DPA were screened and selected for the competitive indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （CI-ELISA）. A CI-ELISA for DPA was developed with a detection limit of 3.536 ng mL^-1and an I50 value of 0.182 μg mL^-1. The assay specificity was evaluated by obtaining competitive curves for several structurally related compounds as competitors. The antiserum showed high affinities to chlorpyrifos, diazinon, omethoate, parathion-ethyl and profenofos with I50 of 0.12, 0.15, 0.21, 0.88, 0.97 and 2.5 μg mL^-1, respectively. The results indicate that the assay could be a screening tool for quantitation and semiquantitation determination of the above former five organophosphorus pesticides.

The aim of this work was to develop a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method for the determination of milk allergen and egg allergen in food *** peptides GGLEPINFQTAADQAR,VGINYWLAHK,VLVLDTDYK,FFVAPFPEVFGK,and NAVPITPTLNR were confirmed and synthesized as the quantitative peptide of ovalbumin,α-lactalbumin,β-lactoglobulin,α_(S1)-casein andα_(S2)-casein,the relative isotope-labeled internal standards were used in the quantitative *** range was in the range of0.5-5000.0 nmol/L for egg and milk allergen in bread,cake,cookie,rice crust and wheat flour samples with free from egg and milk,the limits of detection of milk allergens and egg allergen were in the range between0.94 mg/100 g and 56.71 mg/100 g,limits of quantification of milk allergens and egg allergen were in the range between 2.36 mg/100 g and 141.78 mg/100 *** recoveries ranged from 76.7%to 122.8%,the relative standard deviations were in the range of 1.60%-15.60%.The developed method has been successfully used for the detection of egg and milk allergen in various food samples.

Sesame is one of the eight major allergens that cause food allergies. Study of the epitopes of sesame allergens is important for understanding their sensitization mechanisms. Currently， less information is available on the epitope studies of sesame allergens. In this study， we analyzed the molecular characteristics， structure and homology of Ses i 3， one of the important sesame allergens. We predicted the B-cell linear epitopes of Ses i 3 using bioinformatics tools and characterized them by slot blot immuno-microarrays technology. Eight peptides as B-cell linear epitopes of Ses i 3 were identified， in addition， key amino acids in these epitopes were predicted and leucine 422 was identified as a key amino acid. The present work will contribute to further understanding of the sesame allergen and provide some help in the prevention and treatment of sesame allergy.

Development and Validation of an Impedimetric Sensor Modified with Molecularly Imprinted Polymer for Direct Determination of Bisphenol A in Bioanalytics
