Aim: Ovarian cancer (OC) is a malignant cancer with the highest death rate among various kinds of gynecological tumors. The treatment pattern of HGSCs is mainly primary debulking surgery (PDS), followed by platinum-based adjuvant chemotherapy, which has been the preferred treatment plan in recent years. Treatment decision-making remains a problem that needs to be addressed. We write this article to summarize the relevant indicators reported and find better decision-making tools. Methods: We have extensively read and understood the literature in the research field involved. We searched for keywords in Pubmed: ovarian cancer;KELIM;chemosensitivity. Later we summarized and organized the current research status in the last two decades. Results: There are many predictors of chemotherapy sensitivity, including pathological chemotherapy response score (CRS), the level of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), BRCA mutations in germ lines or somatic cells, tumor homologous recombination deficiency (HRD), KELIM of CA125 and so on. Many clinical trials have testified that this marker of chemosensitivity all have their own advantages and disadvantages. KELIM of CA125 is low-cost and efficient, which is worth promoting and applying in clinical practice. Conclusions: Many studies have validated the predictive and guiding value of the KELIM of Ca125 in the diagnosis and therapy of ovarian cancer. Nowadays, KELIM of Ca125 is rarely known by clinical doctors and lacks clinical application. We advise that KELIM of CA125 is a potential prognostic factor of ovarian cancer. As a clinical doctor in the process of treating ovarian cancer, we can combine the patient’s situation with KELIM, to develop personalized treatment plans. Not only can it reduce the occurrence of complications, but it can also lower medical costs.

Primary liver cancer is one of the most common malignant tumours in the world, and according to statistics, about half of liver cancers occur in China, which seriously threatens the lives and health of people around the world, especially in China. Hepatocellular carcinoma is the most common type, accounting for about 90 per cent of primary liver cancers. Most patients are asymptomatic in the early stage and fail to pay attention to it. Most of the patients are in the middle or late stage when they are first diagnosed, and only 20% - 30% of them can receive radical hepatectomy. Patients are through the treatment to make the tumour shrinkage and downstaging, to achieve the condition of resectable, that is, the conversion treatment. Conversion therapy has great potential for development and has now become an indispensable treatment for intermediate and advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. However, there are various treatment options for conversion therapy, no uniform guidelines to guide clinical selection, and the overall conversion rate is still low, so it is particularly important to explore appropriate conversion therapy options. This article mainly describes the existing conversion therapies, hoping to provide help and ideas for exploring the best conversion therapies in the future.

Efficacy and Safety of Bufei Jiedu Granules in Treating Multidrug-Resistant Pulmonary Tuberculosis:A Multi-center,Double-Blinded and Randomized Controlled Trial

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of Bufei Jiedu(BFJD) Granules as adjuvant therapy for patients with multidrug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis(MDR-PTB). Methods: A large-scale, multi-center, double-blinded, and randomized controlled trial was conducted in 18 sentinel hospitals in China from December 2012 to December 2016. A total of 312 MDR-PTB patients were randomly assigned to BFJD Granules or placebo groups(1:1) using a stratified randomization method, which both received the long-course chemotherapy regimen for 18 months(6 Am-Lfx-P-Z-Pto, 12 Lfx-P-Z-Pto). Meanwhile, patients in both groups also received BFJD Granules or placebo twice a day for a total of 18 months, respectively. The primary outcome was cure rate. The secondary outcomes included time to sputum-culture conversion, changes in lung cavities and quality of life(QoL) of patients. Adverse reactions were monitored during and after the trial. Results: A total of 216 cases completed the trial, 111 in the BFJD Granules group and 105 in the placebo group. BFJD Granules, as adjuvant treatment, increased the cure rate by 13.6% at the end of treatment, compared with the placebo(58.4% vs. 44.8%, P=0.02), and accelerated the median time to sputum-culture conversion(5 months vs. 11 months). The cavity closure rate of the BFJD Granules group(50.6%, 43/85) was higher than that of the placebo group(32.1%, 26/81;P=0.02) in patients who completed the treatment. At the end of the intensive treatment, according to the 36-item Short Form, the BFJD Granules significantly improved physical functioning, general health, and vitality of patients relative to the placebo group(all Pchemotherapy regimen significantly increased the cure rate and cavity closure rate, and rapidly improved QoL of pati
