Occurrence and vertical distribution of aluminum and rare earths in weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore:Effect of soil solution pH and clay minerals

Weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore is crucial source of medium and heavy rare earths,with in-situ leaching being the most co.mon mining *** high co.tents of impurity of aluminum in the leach solution are a significant challenge for the subsequent enrichment process of rare earths.A co.prehensive understanding of the occurrences and vertical distribution of aluminum and rare earths within typical vertical profiles can provide valuable insights into entire design of the in-situ *** paper improves a five-step sequential extraction method to analyze the occurrence and vertical distribution of rare earths and aluminum in vertical profiles from Chongzuo and *** results demonstrate that soil solution pH is the main factor affecting the vertical distribution of ionexchangeable rare *** samples have distinct areas of enrichment for ion-exchangeable rare earths or ***-exchangeable rare earths are primary co.centrated in the middle and lower parts of the ore layer(4-13 m in Chongzuo,14-22 m in Longyan),while the ion-exchangeable aluminum is mainly enriched in the upper part of the ore layer(1-5 m in Chongzuo,and 2-14 m in Longyan).The vertical distribution of inorganic hydroxy aluminum is likely influenced by the micromorphology and particle size of the clay *** inorganic hydroxy aluminum co.centration in Chongzuo samples decreases co.tinuously from 415.65 to 120.95 mg/kg with increasing sampling depth,whereas the co.centration in Longyan samples(110.55-171.27 mg/kg)is almost independence with sampling *** results provide direct guidance for the entire design of the injection well depth and the leaching parameters,thereby inhibiting the leaching of impurity of aluminum and lower the co.sumption of leaching agent.

Effects of dietary astaxanthin supplementation on growth performance, antioxidant status, immune response, and intestinal health of rainbow trout(Onco.hynchus mykiss)

A feeding trial was co.ducted to assess the impacts of dietary astaxanthin from wall-broken Haematoco.cus pluvialis(WBHPA) on the growth performance, antioxidant status, immune response, and intestinal health of rainbow trout(Onco.hynchus mykiss). Six experimental diets were formulated with various co.centrations of WBHPA, ranging from 0 to 8.4 g/kg(co.taining 0 to 125 mg/kg astaxanthin). Each diet was fed to triplicate groups of rainbow trout(mean initial weight of 561 g) twice daily for 9 co.secutive weeks. The survival rate and feed intake of fish exhibited no significant differences among the dietary groups(P > 0.05). Similarly, dietary inclusion of 25 to 100 mg/kg astaxanthin did not significantly affect the weight gain and daily growth co.fficient(P > 0.05), but excessive inclusion of astaxanthin(125 mg/kg) slightly depressed these parameters(P kg astaxanthin increased the activities of intestinal digestion and absorption enzymes(lipase, creatine kinase, and alkaline phosphatase), while the inclusion of 25 to 75 mg/kg astaxanthin improved the immune response of fish. Furthermore, regardless of inclusion level(25 to 125 mg/kg), dietary astaxanthin supplementation strengthened the intestinal muco.al barrier function and improved antioxidant activity,thereby promoting intestinal development. co.clusively, 25 to 75 mg/kg astaxanthin from WBHPA was reco.mended to be included in diets for rainbow trout.

The effects of wheel speeds on the magnetic properties and microstructures of[(Nd,Pr)_(1-x)Ce_(x)]-Fe-B meltspun ribbons were *** to melt-spun ribbons with low cerium(Ce)co.tent(x=0.2),amorphous formation can be suppressed at high wheel speed in the ribbons with a relatively high Ce co.tent(x=0.8),and with the increase of the wheel speed,the magnetic properties of the ribbons with high Ce co.tent raise *** high wheel speed,the co.rcivity mechanism of melt-spun ribbons is mainly pinning field,and the high wheel speed introduces a large number of defects into the matrix as pinning ***,ribbons with high Ce co.tent form a fine and uniform grain structure,so the grain boundary area enlarges,which further hinders the movement of domain *** co.bined effects of the above factors enable ribbons with high Ce co.tent to have excellent magnetic properties(Hcj=0.977 T,Mr=64 m^(2) A/kg)at the wheel speed of 35 m/s.

On the Preparation of Low-Temperature-Rise and Low-Shrinkage co.crete Based on Phosphorus Slag

The effects of different co.tents of a MgO expansive agent and phosphorus slag on the mechanical properties,shrinkage behavior,and the heat of hydration of co.crete were *** slump flow,setting time,dry shrinkage,and hydration heat were used as sensitive parameters to assess the response of the co.sidered *** shown by the results,in general,with an increase in the phosphorus slag co.tent,the hydration heat of co.crete decreases for all ages,but the early strength displays a downward trend and the dry shrinkage rate *** 90-d strength and dry shrinkage of co.crete co.ld be improved with a phosphorus residue co.tent between 0%-20%,with the best performances in terms of mechanical properties and shrinkage characteristics being achieved for a co.tent of 20 kg/m^(3).On the basis of these results,it can be co.cluded that appropriate amounts of phosphorus slag and MgO expansive agent can be used to improve the co.pressive strength of co.crete in the later stage by reducing the hydration heat and dry shrinkage rate,respectively.

Maternal or post-weaning dietary fructo-oligosaccharide supplementation reduces stillbirth rate of sows and diarrhea of weaned piglets

Fructo-oligosaccharides(FOS) are well-known prebiotics that have the potential to improve sow reproductive performance and increase piglet growth. However, previous studies were observed in sole FOS-supplemented diets of sows or weaned piglets and did not co.sider the sow-to-piglet transfer effect on the performance and diarrhea rate of weaned piglets. This study explores the effects of dietary FOS supplementation on the reproductive performance of sows, and the effects of FOS supplementation at different stages on the growth performance and diarrhea rate of weaned piglets. A split-plot experimental design was used with sow diet effect in the whole plot and differing piglet diet effect in the subplot. Fifty-two multiparous sows(223.24 ± 14.77 kg) were randomly divided into 2 groups(0 or 0.2%FOS). The experiment lasted from day 85 of gestation to day 21 of lactation. Reproductive performance,gluco.e tolerance, placental angiogenesis, and intestinal flora of sows were assessed. At weaning, 192weaned piglets were grouped in 2 × 2 factorial designs, with the main effects of FOS supplemental level of sow diet(0 and 0.2%), and FOS supplemental level of weaned piglet diet(0 and 0.2%), respectively. The growth performance and diarrhea rate of the weaned piglets were analyzed during a 28-d *** dietary supplementation of FOS was shown to reduce the stillbirth and invalid piglet rates(P co.es(P co.i(P = 0.035),and increase the isovalerate co.tent in feces(P = 0.086). Mannanase improves the growth performance of broilers by alleviating inflammation of the intestinal epithelium and improving intestinal microbiota

This experiment aimed to discuss and reveal the effect and mechanism of mannanase on intestinal inflammation in broilers triggered by a soybean meal diet. In this experiment, 384 Arbor Acres broilers at1 d old were randomly divided into 3 treatment groups. The broilers were fed a co.n-soybean meal basal diet, a low-energy diet(metabolizable energy reduced by 50 kcal/kg), and a low-energy diet supplemented with 100 mg/kg mannanase for 42 d. The low-energy diet increased feed co.version ratio from0 to 42 d, reduced ileal villus height and villus height-to-crypt depth ratio and upregulated the expression of nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB) in the ileum(P co.pared with low-energy diets, the addition of mannanase increased body weight at 42 d, promoted the digestibility of nutrients, and maintained the morphology and integrity of the intestinal epithelium of broilers(P co.tent of isobutyric acid in the cecum of broilers(P co.cus in the intestine of broilers and inhibited oxidative phosphorylation and phosphoinositol metabolism. Mannanase increased the relative abundance of Odoribacter, promoted energy metabolism and N-glycan biosynthesis, and increased the activities of GH3 and GH18. The atomization characteristics play a key role in the highly efficient co.bustion of pyrolysis oil derived from waste *** this study,the fuel properties of tire pyrolysis oil(TPO)were initially studied,and then a high-speed camera and a phase Doppler particle analyzer were employed to characterize the atomization feature of *** influence of pressure and nozzle orifice diameter on atomization characteristics such as spray angle,droplet velocity,and droplet size distribution was *** results showed that TPO had a high calorific value of about 43.6 MJ/kg and a low visco.ity of 3.84×10^(–6)m^(2)/s at 40℃,which made it have the potential to be used as an alternative *** pressure expanded the spray angle and extended the spray in both the axial and radial *** increasing pressure,spray angle and droplet velocity raised,and the increase in crushing effect of air reduced the Sauter mean diameter(SMD)of the *** obtain proper atomization quality for co.bustion,the pressure is expected to be higher than 1.25 *** increasing nozzle orifice diameter,droplet velocity increased,and the SMD of the droplets increased as well due to weakened crushing effect of the ***,the pressure must be increased to maintain the atomization quality when using a nozzle with a larger *** to the lower visco.ity,the velocity and particle size distribution of TPO droplets after atomization were smaller than those of diesel *** extremely small carbon black co.tained in TPO also co.tributed to the breaking of droplets and played a certain role in the size reduction of the oil droplets,but it may cause the risk of nozzle *** summary,TPO showed great atomization characteristics for alternative fuel applications.

Exploring plant adaptation strategies to phosphorus limitation induced by nitrogen addition:foliar phosphorus allocation and root functional traits analysis in two dominant subalpine tree species

Plants adapt to the limitation of soil phosphorus(P)induced by nitrogen(N)deposition through a co.plex interaction of various root and leaf functional *** this study,a pot experiment was co.ducted to explore the effects of different levels of N addition(co.trol,low N[LN]:25 kg N ha^(-1) yr^(-1),high N[HN]:50 kg N ha^(-1) yr^(-1))on tree growth,leaf nutrient co.tent,foliar P fractions and root characteristics of two dominant tree species,the pioneer species Salix rehderiana Schneid and the climax species Abies fabri(Mast.)Craib,in a subalpine forest in southwestern *** results demonstrated that LN addition had a minimal impact on leaf N and P ***,HN addition significantly decreased the leaf P co.tent in both *** rehderiana exhibited more pronounced increases in specific root length and specific root area under P deficiency triggered by HN addition when co.pared with *** co.trast,*** showed weaker morphological responses to N addition but had a higher proportion of foliar P to metabolic P,as well as higher root exudates rate and root phosphatase activity in response to HN *** fabri employs a synergistic approach by allocating a greater amount of leaf P to metabolite P and extracting P from the soil through P-mobilizing exudates and root phosphatase activity,while *** exhibits higher flexibility in modifying its root morphology in response to P limitation induced by HN *** study provides insights into subalpine tree species adaptation to N-induced P limitation,emphasizing its significance for guiding forest management and co.servation in the co.text of global climate change.
