An important epistemological problem has been faced by Exercise *** one hand,one theory explains the fatigue through a ceiling effect of oxygen *** the other hand,the new theory proposes that an encephalon mechanism would stop the effort before a catastrophic homeostasis *** physiologists have looked for evidence to support their favourite theory even though the induction logic problem does not allow to prove whether truth is discovered;however,it is possible to prove that it does not *** some researchers fail to test their hypotheses,they use relativism to bring up their theories *** and his colleagues have based their theory on relativism,because it is impossible to refute by empirical *** also doesn't explain all phenomena that the oldest Hill's theory is able to ***'s theory isn't more accurate in its *** did not check whether the oxygen uptake plateau occurs in suitable tests to measure on the mouth what happens in the ***,it doesn't propose new tests for the encephalon role during maximal effort,as that is expected in scientific *** all of these reasons,it is possible to conclude there are no advantages in switching to the“Central Governor”theory.

Objective:To discusse the impact of geophagy on liehavior and conditioned-reflex activity of Wistar rats subjected to instrumental stress under experimental ***:Experimental geophagy was simulated by adding zeolite-containing tuff(clinoptilolite)to animal feed,the amount relating to 2%of body *** was obtained from areas where animals usually eat subsurface *** activity of animals and peculiarities of information and emotional stress were studied through the use of a universal problem ***:The results of this experimental study showed the negative impact of instrumental stress on laboratory animals,manifested in behavioral dysfunction,in the form of changes in qualitative and quantitative characteristics of search *** geophagy contributed to significant improvement in behavioral parameters,confirming the anti-stress effects of the use of natural ***:These results suggest that,in natural environmental conditions, "edible" rocks serve as an adaptive tool for recovery from various types of environmental stresses,and are examples of self-medication.

Ontogenetic aging of tissues and the gradual decrease of adventitious rooting are known challenges for the clonal propagation of woody species,hampering clonal forestry *** study examined possible signatures of tissue rejuvenation/reinvigoration in different propagated materials of Eucalyptus microcorys by analyzing the total protein profile,peroxidase activity,macro-and micronutrient contents,and adventitious rooting of mini *** analyses were performed on *** shoots which were successfully obtained by seminal and grafting propagation,micropropagation with epicormic shoots,and indirect *** four mature trees used in the propagation,tissues from the one with the best propagation results were investigated for signs of tissue rejuvenation and/or *** individuals from each technique were randomly selected and transferred to a semi-hydroponic"channel"*** four weeks in the seedbed,the total protein,peroxidase activity,nutrient content and rooting of the mini cuttings were ***-PAGE enabled the differentiation of leaf samples obtained by grafting from the other propagation techniques,as revealed by two distinct *** obtained by micropropagation with epicormic shoots showed the highest peroxidase activity,while those obtained by seminal propagation and from the selected mature tree showed the lowest peroxidase activity.A portable X-ray fluorescence spectroscope(pXRF)identified adequate nutrient content in most of the nutrients tested in materials obtained by seminal and grafting propagation,and by indirect *** analysis of adventitious rooting showed that the highest rooting percentage was observed in mini cuttings from seminal propagation(75%)followed by indirect organogenesis(35%).Based on principal component analysis,it was concluded that rooting of mini cuttings from both seminal propagation and indirect organogenesis was associated with phosphorous,sulphur,and potassium

This paper investigated the influence of parental child upbringing styles and juvenile delinquency and the implication for societal development. A total number of 35 female and male delinquent inmates of Children Correctional Centre in Cross River State and 35 female and male non-delinquents from a normal school aged from 12 years to 17 years took part in the study. The Child Rearing Questionnaire （CRQ） designed by the researcher was used for data collection. Two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Chi-square was used in testing the study hypotheses at .05 level of significance. The result of the data analysis showed that parental child-rearing style has a significant influence on the three aspects of dishonest behaviour, namely lying, stealing, and truancy, and parents＇ bonding with their children is also significant. Based on the findings, it was recommended among others that parents should adopt more of authoritative child upbringing styles. Parents are expected to guide and modify the behaviour of their children to conform with the acceptable behaviours in society as well as participate in activities aimed at preventing crime or disorder being committed by their children.

Reading is a pertinent skill of the four basic language skills. English teaching and learning in Nigeria cannot but be given all special attention since it is the major language of administration, economics, religious propagation, and others in the nation. This paper has traced the treatment of reading aspect of English in the Nigerian Junior Secondary Schools using the teachers, students, and the nation＇s curriculum as instrument of operation. Some of the problems militating against effective teaching of reading skill in English were identified and discussed. Recommendations for achieving effective language teaching and learning focusing on English reading skill were highlighted. In the end, English teachers＇ attention is drawn on better ways of teaching reading as an important skill of the English language education

Background Good sleep quality is an essential component for growth, development, and physical and mental health of the individual, in addition to being a positive indicator of health and well-being. The objective of this study was to estimate the prevalence of poor sleep quality and to identify the association of poor sleep quality with sociodemographic factors, lifestyle, weight status, and associated aerobic fitness in adolescents. Methods This study included 1110 students aged 14–19 years from city of S?o José/SC, Brazil. Sleep quality of the subjects was assessed using a questionnaire and classified as adequate and low. Independent variables were gender, age, monthly household income, maternal education, school shift, global physical activity, proper diet, screen time, sleeping hours of full week, sleeping hours of weekdays, sleeping hours of weekends, weight status, and aerobic fitness. Binary logistic regression was used to estimate odds ratios and confidence intervals of 95%. Results Prevalence of poor sleep quality was 60.4%. More likely to have poor sleep quality were identified in female students (OR 1.68, 95% CI 1.11–2.55), whose mothers had higher levels of education (OR 1.44, 95% CI 1.20–1.73) and low aerobic fitness (OR 1.80, 95% CI 1.02–3.19). Conclusion Adolescents who were most likely to report poor sleep quality were female, those whose mothers had a higher educational level and had low aerobic fitness. Students with sedentary risk behavior were less likely of reporting poor sleep quality.

We propose a new way to develop non-parametric models of power curves using artificial intelligence *** parametric model and eight non-parametric models are developed to emulate the behavior described by the power curve of the wind farms.A comparison between the power curve models based on artificial neural networks(ANNs)and those based on fuzzy logic are also *** of the power curve models based on ANNs and fuzzy inference systems(FISs)are used as well as two new FISs with the proposed new *** initial pre-training is proposed,resulting from the characteristics derived from the expert inference followed by a transformation of a fuzzy Mamdani system into a fuzzy Sugeno *** the presented values by the error indicators are comparable,the results show that the new pre-trained FIS models have better precision compared with the ANN and FIS *** comparative study is conducted in two wind farms located in northeastern *** proposed method is a relevant alternative to improve power curve approximation based on an FIS.

The effect of sodium reduction and Lactobacillus acidophilus addition(free or microencapsulated)on the quality parameters of requeijao cremoso processed cheese was assessed for 90 days at 5℃.Three formulations were prepared:(CONT)regular salt content and curd fusion(90℃/2 min),(FREE)reduced salt content+free probiotic culture added after curd fusion(90℃/2 min),and(MICRO)reduced salt content+microencapsulated probiotic culture added before curd fusion(70℃/5 min).FREE and MICRO formulations showed increased monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acid content,improved health indices(decreases in thrombogenic index and increases in desirable fatty acid index),and altered rheological properties(higher consistency index,apparent viscosity,elastic properties,and gel strength).In addition,the MICRO formulation showed higher texture sensory acceptance and probiotic counts higher than 6 log CFU/g during storage and simulated gastrointestinal ***,microencapsulation of probiotics with spray chilling represents an innovative solution in requeijao cremoso processed cheese.
