Lipopeptides are recognized as a structurally diverse group of functional *** possess multiple biological,biotechnological and therapeutic applications and are able to affect cell membrane integrity and *** is widely accepted that suppressing the interaction of redooxidation is mainly aimed by inserting functional biopeptides on form alpha-helical peptides or on form *** types of structured biomaterials have great potential in promoting signal transductions to the most organelles having geometrical and spacial structures similar to endogenous liposome forms such as lysosomes,ribosomes,mitochondria and platelets..Thus,inserting radioactive trace-elements along with biopeptides is necessary in tracing the trajectory of those radioactive micelles that are destined in targeting further complicated disease and growth factor *** techniques are important in determining structure-symmetry and asymmetry leading to meso-spherical crystal-packing modes or to copolymer *** main objective of this review is to highlight and elucidate the potential role of lipopeptides in promoting signals at surface/interface of micelles along with their functionalities in repairing cellular and nuclear ***,state-of-the-art scientific knowledge is reviewed regarding bioconjugation and structuring charged-mono-layer and/or bi-layer phospholipidic membranes in adherent to signal-biopeptides using some advanced techniques such as ultra-sound probe based polydispersity of radioactive trace-elements assisted microdialysis as micro-separating techniques in between those miscible and immiscible compounds.

Sawdust which is basically considered as?a timber-industrial waste?that pollutes the environment can become a valuable commodity which is considered in three ways: Manufacturing, Energy and Agricultural utilization. The sawdust is burnt in an updraft gasifier under a limited supply of air to obtain?producer gas which is carbon II oxide and hydrogen as main components. The sawdust and other biomass materials are mixed in certain proportions, then bound together and palletized to a small blocks called briquettes. The material?was also considered to be composted by mixing it with animal digestion or?wood ashes and calcium carbonate to form fertilizers. The sawdust and wood shavings can be used for particle board as well as oil production.

Visually Impaired Individuals in Brazil and Portugal and Learning about Drugs through a board Game

Objective: To compare the learning of visually impaired individuals after the use of the educational game “Drugs: playing it clean”. Method: Quasi-experimental, comparative, before-after study. Results: The participants’ mean age in Brazil was lower than in Portugal;a significant difference in information acquisition was found between the pre and post-test for the low-complexity (Brazil p = 0.018 and Portugal p = 0.002), without a difference in the number of correct answers for the medium/high-complexity questions between the two countries (p = 0.655 and p = 0.0792);when comparing the number of correct answers before and after the game intervention, an increase was found in Brazil and Portugal, respectively (21.8% - 61.1%;11.2% - 38.9%);a significant difference was found in the number of correct answers between the low and medium/high-complexity questions (p = 0.030). Conclusion: The educational game permits information access and can be used as a teaching-learning strategy.

The frequency and performance trends of European countries in the U18 and U20 rankings for 1500 m and 3000 m between 2009-2020

We purpose to determine the nationality of the European middle-distance athletes under 18 years(U18)and under 20 years(U20)during the last decade,to verify the participation trend for each country,and to assess whether the place of competition can be associated with the athletes ranking *** sample comprised 902 European male runners,ranked among the best finishers from 2009 to *** athletes were divided into two categories(n_(U18)=266;and n_(U20)=636)of two distances(n_(1500m)=397;n_(3000m)=505).The Mantel test was used for participation trend and the Chi-square test(χ^(2))was used to verify differences between the ranking position and the place of *** both distances,the highest number of athletes were from Spain(n=127),followed by Turkey(n=62)and Great Britain(n=50).No significant trends were shown for most of the countries,in both distances.A positive trend was shown for Slovenia(i.e.,3000m)over the years.A non-significant association was verified between the countries and the ranking position,as non-significant differences were proved for the place of *** information may be useful to guide athlete development programs in each country.

Use of Artificial Neural Networks for Location of Defective Insulators in Power Lines

This is an extended version of the same titled paper presented at the 21st CIRED. It discusses a new technique for identification and location of defective insulator strings in power lines based on the analysis of high frequency signals generated by corona effect. Damaged insulator strings may lead to loss of insulation and hence to the corona effect, in other words, to partial discharges. These partial discharges can be detected by a system composed of a capacitive coupling device （region between the phase and the metal body of a current transformer）, a data acquisition board and a computer. Analyzing the waveform of these partial discharges through a neural network based software, it is possible to identify and locate the defective insulator string. This paper discusses how this software analysis works and why its technique is suitable for this application. Hence the results of key tests performed along the development are discussed, pointing out the main factors that affect their performance.

Threats to Independence in Assurance of Sustainability Reports

A growing number of companies are submitting their sustainability reports to an external assurance ***,this fact is raising theoretical questions regarding the independence of the assurance *** this context,the objective of this work is to verify how it is possible to threat the independence in assurance of sustainability *** research is bibliographical and *** sustainability reports were analyzed from 2007 to *** case is the enterprise Vale *** result shows that there was no concomitant execution of audit and assurance services by the company;there are approaches to reporting independence,either in the title or in a specific paragraph;it exists an identification of the recipient,varying between board of directors,shareholders and other interested parties,nevertheless,throughout 2013-2014,there was no *** issued from 2013 to 2016 show that improvements need to be made by the assured *** in these cases is questionable,since the assurer may act as a consultant,which demonstrates management *** audit of the financial statements and assurance services may cause an impression of threats to independence;however,the results did not show it in the analyzed *** researches concerning assurance of sustainability reports independence are recommended.

Educational Game about Drugs for Visually Impaired People: A Comparison between Brazil and Portugal

Objective: To validate the educational board game “Drugs: playing fair” for visually impaired people in Brazil and Portugal. Methods: Study of apparent validation carried out in two associations for visually impaired people in Fortaleza, Brazil, and in Porto, Portugal. Thirty-six visually impaired people, 18 from each country, participated in the study. An evaluation tool with 23 items on specifications, content and motivation of the game was applied. Results: The scores awarded in both countries were excellent, with means varying in Brazil from 9.0 to 9.6 and in Portugal, from 8.4 to 9.2. As for the categories and subcategories, the best means in Brazil were: content (9.5);theoretical and methodological consistency (9.6) and concepts/information (9.5). In Portugal, the best means were concepts/information (9.2) and curiosity (9.2). Only two items showed a significant difference: “it allows interaction” (p = 0.024) and “compatible degree of difficulty” (p = 0.012). Conclusion: The educational game on drugs was validated in Brazil and Portugal.

Comparison of associations of household-level and neighbourhood-level poverty markers with paediatric asthma care utilisation by race/ethnicity in an open cohort of community health centre patients

Objective The objective of this research was to examine how different measurements of poverty(household-level and neighborhood-level)were associated with asthma care utilisation outcomes in a community health centre setting among Latino,non-Latino black and non-Latino white ***,setting and participants We used 2012–2017 electronic health record data of an open cohort of children agedfederal poverty level(FPL).Covariate-adjusted generalised estimating equations logistic and negative binomial regression were used to model three outcomes:(1)≥2 asthma visits/year,(2)albuterol prescription orders and(3)prescription of inhaled corticosteroids over the total study *** The full sample(n=30196)was 46%Latino,26%non-Latino black,31%aged 6–10 years at first clinic *** patients had household FPL200%FPL(55%).Overall,neighbourhood poverty(<100%FPL)was associated with more asthma visits(covariate-adjusted OR 1.26,95%CI 1.12 to 1.41),and living in a low-income neighbourhood(≥100%to<200%FPL)was associated with more albuterol prescriptions(covariate-adjusted rate ratio 1.07,95%CI 1.02 to 1.13).When stratified by race/ethnicity,we saw differences in both directions in associations of household/neighbourhood income and care outcomes between *** This study enhances understanding of measurements of race/ethnicity differences in asthma care utilisation by income,revealing different associations of living in low-income neighbourhoods and households for Latino,non-Latino white and non-Latino black children with *** implies that markers of family and community poverty may both need to be considered when evaluating the association between economic status and healthcare *** to measure both kinds of poverty(family and

The COVID-19 pandemic has posed a serious threat to global mental *** lines of evidence suggest that there is a varying yet considerable increase in mental health issues among the general population and vulnerable groups.12 The aftermath is obscure and speculative from a social,economic,individual and public mental health *** published studies support the existence of an emotional epidemic curve,describing a high probability of an increase in the burden of mental health issues in the post-pandemic era.34 Furthermore,previous major public health emergencies showed that more than half of the population devel-oped mental health problems and required mental health intervention.45 There is,therefore,an urgent need to reorganise existing mental health services to address the current unmet needs for mental health and to prepare for future challenges in the postpandemic era in terms of prevention and management.
