Car Fuel Economy Simulation Forecast Method Based on CVT Efficiencies Measured from Bench Test

Researchers face di culties in studying the e ects of driveline e ciency on car fuel economy via bench and road tests because of long working periods, high costs, and heavy workloads. To simplify the study process and shorten test cycles, a car fuel economy simulation forecast method for combining computer simulation forecasting with bench tests is proposed. Taking a continuously variable transmission(CVT) as the research object, a transmission e ?ciency model based on a bench test is constructed. An optimal economic variogram based on the original CVT vari?ogram, the boundary conditions of vehicle performance, the road conditions and the driving behavior of the driver is generated in the Gear Shift Program(GSP)?Generation module in AVL Cruise. And on this basis a driveline simulation model that can calculate the fuel consumption based on the driveline data of a test car is built. The model is used to forecast fuel consumption and calculate real?time CVT e ciency under di erent conditions. contrastive analyses on simulation results and real car drum test results are made. The largest error between simulation results and drum test results in driving cycles is 4.099%, which is 5.449% under constant velocity condition in driver control mode and 4.2% under constant velocity condition in automatic cruise mode. The results confirm the feasibility of the method and the good performance of the driveline simulation model in accurately forecasting fuel consumption. The method can e ciently investigate the e ects of driveline e ciency on car fuel economy. Moreover, this research provides instruc?tion for accurately forecasting fuel economy as well as references for studies on the e ects of drivelines on car fuel economy.

Magnetic drive pump has gotten great achievement and has been widely used in some special fields. Currently, the researches on magnetic drive pump have focused on hydraulic design, bearing, axial force in China, and a new magnetic drive pump with low flow and high head have been developed overseas. However, low efficiency and large size are the common disadvantages for the magnetic drive pump. In order to study the performance of high-speed magnetic drive pump, FLUENT was used to simulate the inner flow field of magnetic drive pumps with different rotate speeds, and get velocity and pressure distributions of inner flow field. According to analysis the changes of velocity and pressure to ensure the stable operation of pump and avoid cavitation. Based on the analysis of velocity and pressure, this paper presents the pump efficiency of magnetic drive pumps with different rotated speeds by calculating the power loss in impeller and volute, hydraulic loss, volumetric loss, mechanical loss and discussing the different reasons of power loss between the magnetic drive pumps with different rotated speeds. In addition, the magnetic drive pumps were tested in a closed testing system. Pressure sensors were set in inlet and outlet of magnetic drive pumps to get the pressure and the head, while the pump efficiency could be got by calculating the power loss between the input power and the outlet power. The results of simulation and test were similar, which shows that the method of simulation is feasible. The proposed research provides the instruction to design high-speed magnetic drive pump.

Test is one of methods to acquire human-seat pressure distribution in driving, with the deficiency of being uneasy to obtain the stress information of soft tissue inside human body and the sheer force of interface between human and seat, which can be obtained by simulation. But current simulation method focuses mainly on calculation itself other than combining it with posture prediction and cab packaging parameters, which cause it difficult to acquire accurate pressure calculation results without accurate posture of human body, and make it almost meaningless to design optimization. Therefore, a human body geometric model with posture change capability is built and linked up with Cascade Prediction Model（CPM）, which takes cab packaging parameters as inputs. A detailed finite element model of driver human body is constructed and used to conduct the driver-seat interaction simulation between human body and seat. Good accordance of pressure distribution is observed between simulation and test, which validates the simulation. In addition to the distribution pattern, curves on key sections are used to analyze the pressure and shear stress on the seat surface, as well as soft tissue stress inside human body. The simulation shows that the maximum stress of buttocks locates under the ischial tuberosity, and the maximum stress of trunk occurs near the scapula posterior and the lower waist. These are the places where fatigue usually occurs. The maximum pressure of seat appears at the driver-seat contact area corresponding to the driver＇s maximum skin tissue stress. In order to guide the seat design and cab packaging and study the influence of posture to pressure distribution, finite element models for different levels of cab packaging parameters are created by using CPM. The pressure distributions are calculated and their tendencies varying with cab packaging parameters are obtained. To analysis the early failures of machining centers,the failure mode effect and criticality analysis( FMECA) method was used. Based on the failure data collected from production lines in test run,all the failure modes of machining centers were summarized and criticality of all subsystems is figured out. And the process of FMECA was improved. The most critical subsystem was manipulator subsystem. The most critical failure mode was impacted manipulator. Reasons and effect of some important failure modes were analyzed. And some suggestions to solve failures were given.

With the development of the rail transit industry,more attention has been paid to the passive safety of rail *** damage is one of the main failure behaviors in a rail vehicle collision,but it has been paid little attention to in past *** this paper,the quasi-static fracture experiments of SUS301L-MT under different stress states were carried *** mechanical fracture properties of this material were studied,and the corresponding finite element simulation accuracy was improved to guide the design of vehicle *** the tests,the fracture behavior of materials with wide stress triaxiality was obtained,and each specimen’s fracture locations and fracture strains were *** of a generalized incremental stress state dependent damage model(GISSMO)of the material were calibrated,and the model’s accuracy was verified with test results from a 45°shear *** GISSMO failure model accurately reflected the fracture characteristics of the *** mesh dependency of this model was modified and *** results show that the simulation agrees well with experimental data for the force-displacement curve after correction,but the strain distribution needs to be further studied and improved.

To analyze the rollover safety,finite element models were established for the electric bus body frame,rollover simulation platform,living space,and bus *** strength and stiffness of the body frame were calculated under four typical work-ing conditions considering the main low-order elastic modal *** results indicate that the initial body frame of the electric bus satisfies the required structural strength,stiffness,modes,and rollover safety,and it has great potential for lightweight *** and structural contribution analyses were performed to determine the design variables for lightweight optimization of the body frame,and a mathematical model was established for multi-objective collaborative optimization design of the electric ***,the radial basis function neural network was used to approximate the optimiza-tion ***,the accuracy of the approximate model was verified,and the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II was employed to determine solutions for the lightweight *** with the initial model,the mass of the optimized model is reduced by 240 kg(9.0%)without any changes in the materials of the body frame.

The physical model of transmission built in Amesim can provide detailed movement process data of the actuators.A method for building a physical model of the powertrain of AMT in Amesim are proposed owing to the advantage *** verify the accuracy of the model,the launch,gear selecting and shifting control strategy models of an AMT are built in Simulink,and the launch and accelerating process with jump shifting from the 2,the 4 to the 6 gear fully loaded on a level road are performed through the co-Simulation platform of Amesim and Matlab/***,a bench test of gear selecting and shifting actuator and a real truck test are carried *** simulation results are close to the experimental *** simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method has a relative higher accuracy,which can improve the efficiency of AMT control strategy development.
