Chronology and Geochemistry of the Berezitovoe Polymetallic Gold Deposit in Eastern Siberia, Russia and its Geological Significance

The Berezitovoe deposit is a large-sized Au-Ag-Zn-Pb deposit in the east of the SelengaStanovoi superterrane, Russia. Au-Ag orebodies are hosted by tourmaline-garnet-quartz-muscovite metasomatic rocks; Zn-Pb orebodies are hosted by granodiorites, porphyritic granites and tourmalinegarnet-quartz-muscovite metasomatic rocks. These orebodies are surrounded by wall rocks dominated by the Tukuringra Complex granodiorites, porphyritic granites, and gneissic granodiorites. The alteration includes silicification and garnet, sericitization chloritization, carbonatization and kaollinization. LA-ICP-MS U-Pb zircon dating indicates that the gold mineralization can be divided into two stages in the Berezitovoe polymetallic gold deposit（at 363.5 ± 1.5 Ma, and133.4± 0.5）.Hornblende-plagioclase gneisses of the Mogocha Group in the study area underwent Paleoproterozoic metamorphism（at 1870 ± 7.8 and 2400 ± 13 Ma）, gneissic granodiorite of the Tukuringra Complex yields a late Paleozoic magmatic age（at 379.2 ± 1.1 Ma）,and subalkaline porphyritic granitoid of the Amudzhikan Complex yield late Mesozoic magmatic ages（133-139 and 150-163 Ma）. Granodiorites of the Tukuringra Complex in the study area have high concentrations of SiO_2（average of 60.9 wt%）, are aluminum-oversaturated（average A/CNK of 1.49）, are enriched in the large ion lithophile elements（e.g.,K, Rb, and Ba）, U, Th, and Pb, are depleted in high field strength elements（e.g., Ta, Nb, and Ti）, and have slightly negative Eu and no Ce anomalies in chondrite-normalized rare earth element *** inclusions from quartz veins include three types： aqueous two-phase, CO2-bearing three-phase,and pure CO2. Aqueous two-phase inclusions homogenize at 167℃-249℃ and have salinities of 4.32%-9.47% NaCl equivalent, densities of 0.86-0.95 g/cm^3, and formed at depths of 0.52-0.94 km. In comparison, the CO2-bearing three-phase inclusions have homogenization temperatures of 265℃-346℃,salinities of 7.14%-11.57% NaCl equivalent, and total

Large area YBCO superconducting thin films were grown on the Zr(Y)O2 substrate at 750 and 800℃ respectively by magnetron sputtering, and the surface morphology was studied with AEM. STM and SEM with an EDS and ECP attachments. The YBCO thin film was found to be a caxis orientated single crystal. At 800℃, the surface out-growths of the thin film Were mainly CuO particles and many small holes were found on the surface. which resulted in rougher surface; whereas, at 750℃, the out-growths were mainly the 123 structure in the form of rod-like and polygon and the surface was much smoother because of less small holes on the surface. The mechanism of the thin film growth and the formation of the small holes on the surface grown at the two temperature were discussed.

The paper examines the chemical composition of alluvial soils from the Zeya and Selemdzha River valleys, one of the branch rivers in the Amur River basin. It has been established that the compositions of these soils are characterized by a relative shortage of practically all analyzed macro-and microelements as compared with UCC(upper continental crust) and PAAS(postArhean Australian average shale) compositions. The chemical composition of alluvial soils approximates that of the soils in NE China and Korea due to similar climatic and geographic conditions. On the basis of relationships between major and trace elements and peculiarities of trace elements concentration it is shown that the alluvial soils in the middle reaches of the Zeya River were formed by the sources largely transformed by chemical weathering processes. By comparison, the soils in the Selemdzha River and lower reaches of the Zeya River(below the Selemdzha River mouth) are dominated by material to a large degree reworked by the physical processes rather than chemical ones. This inference conforms with specific geological settings of the water-collector.

Processing of five grades of sintered maraging steels containing 13% Cr, 9% Ni, 1% Ti and different quantities of Mo, Co is described. Variations of ageing temperatures and ageing holding times had resulted in choosing optimum regime of ageing f T=550℃, T=2.5 h. It allowed to receive mechanical properties of these steels like to them for compact steels; UTS=1200 MPa, EL=5.3%, RA=7%, and Charpy impact =1445 kJ/m2. X-ray analysis had shown phases Fe7Mo6, Fe2Mo in steels containing Co and decreasing of the period 'of or-phase lattice in these steels after ageing.

Discrimination of sandstone geochemistry to tectonic settings and provenance has become an effective method in the studies of complex geological circumstances because of its higher sensitivity for the stability of tectonic settings in the period of basin deposition. Results of geochemical analyses in this paper show that sandstone samples of the Mesozoic Mohe basin fall in active continental margin settings on several kinds of tectonic discriminatory diagrams (Bhatia et al. 1983, 1986; Roser et al. 1986,1988,1999). The samples are also characterized by binary-system provenances, whose terrigenous clastic materials mainly derived from the oro- genic belt near the basin to the north and secondarily from the continental region in the south of the basin at the same time. The research results of rock geochemistry, combined with tectonic analysis, reflect that tectonic type of the basin is a foreland basin with nature of depositional ac- cumulation of molass, but not continental rift basin considered in the past. This finding provides important evidence of rock geochemistry for the original structural linkage between the Mohe Foreland Basin and Mongol-Okhotsk Orogen in Mesozoic.

Well-crystallized Nd2O3 nanorods were prepared in the aqueous solution containing neodymium nitrate, sodium hydroxide（dissolved in ethanol） and sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate（SDBS）. One dimensional nanorods of neodymium hydroxide were synthesized first, which was then placed at different temperatures（600 and 800 ℃） in a calcar for 10 h to form Nd2O3 nanorods. The morphology and crystal structure of the products were investigated by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, field emission transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and fluorescence spectrometry. By using SDBS micelles as a template, this method manufactured uniform morphology of hexagonal one-dimensional neodymium oxide nanorods with a diameter ranging from 20 to 70 nm. The length of the nanorods increased with prolonged reaction time.

There are known brown coal deposits in Primorsky Krai(Russian Federation),where coals contain rare elements(Ge,U,REE,etc.)up to industrial *** of the known metalliferous coals is the Rakovka coal-bearing depression,located on the southern edge of the Khanka(Prikhankaiskaya)Lowland,with an area of about 70 ***-metal granites with a developed weathering crust are spread in its basement and *** structural conditions forming the depression were studied using measurements of orientations of structural elements(layering,contacts,veins,and dikes)with regard to kinematic conditions of *** coal and host rocks were sampled in sections in the cross strike of the coal *** and dikes cutting them were sampled by separate rock chip *** chemical composition and element content were determined for all *** was found that the adjacent rocks played a major role in the formation of the Rakovka rare-metal-coal *** rare-elements enrichment is not associated with active tectonics,faults,and hydrothermal sources,as was previously ***,it was caused by the hydrogenic and clastogenic removal of these metals from the weathering crust of granites of the depression's flanks and argillated basite dikes cutting the *** hydrogenic nature of the anomalous accumulation of U in sorbed form on organic matter of coals is confirmed by the predominant enrichment of low-ash *** earth elements entered coal seams both in mineral and dissolved forms.A model of REE and uranium input into the coal-bearing sediments of the Rakovka depression was proposed.

BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)can occasionally develop with other non-HCC cell types,either in a combined type or collision type.A collision tumor is defined as two histopathologically distinct tumors of the same organ lacking a clear transition *** collision tumors are *** them,“hepatocellular carcinoma-hepatic neuroendocrine carcinoma”(HCC-NEC)collision tumors are especially rare and information about them is rarely *** SUMMARY A 48-year-old man with typical findings of HCC underwent consecutive therapies,including radiofrequency ablation and embolization prior to *** of the HCC-NEC collision tumor in the right liver and another HCC in the left liver was established following surgical *** patient displayed NEC metastasis following resection and succumbed to septicemia after 2 more rounds of *** our knowledge,this is the 25th reported case of mixed HCC-NEC *** rarity of HCC-NEC collision tumors and the absence of diagnostic criteria make it difficult to differentiate this condition from simple liver tumors,especially in patients with chronic liver *** Our case highlights the difficulty in accurately diagnosing HCC-NEC in the absence of histological *** prognosis is poor for this condition,although ultrasound-guided liver biopsy can be helpful to establish a prompt *** accumulation of such cases could help establish an accurate diagnosis *** discovery of NEC may allow for better treatment strategies and better prognoses.

Biochemical Factors Affecting the Quality of Products and the Technology of Processing Deep-Sea Fish, the Giant Grenadier Albatrossia pectoralis

The composition of muscle tissues of a deep-sea species, the giant grenadier(Albatrossia pectoralis), and a mesopelagic species, the Alaska pollock(Theragra chalcogramma), are compared. Grenadier is proved to have a higher moisture content(91.7%) and lower protein(7.4%) and lipid(0.3%) contents. The factors responsible for the softening and moisture separation during processing of grenadier are identified. Contents of some fractions of non-protein nitrogenous components, including trimethylamine oxide(TMAO) and free amino acids, are clarified. The proportion of the main myofibrillar proteins myosin and actin, which is considered as an indicator of efficiency of structure formation in fish muscle tissue during processing, is almost 20% lower in giant grenadier than in pollock. The effects of endogenous protease, Са^2+-ATPase and transglutaminase on the processes of autolysis, denaturation, and possibility of myofibrillar proteins cross-linking were also studied. The proposed technology of getting a nutritionally balanced, gel-like, ready-to-use foodstuff from grenadier fillet includes its enrichment with pollock muscle tissue and supplementing with a binary structure-forming agent containing collagen and chitosan. Nutritional value of the products is assessed by the method of biological assay and by determining the denaturation changes of myofibrillar proteins. The modes of fine mincing and thermal processing, as well as the shelf-life of the finished product are justified. The developed technology of producing a ready-to-eat food from giant grenadier will allow a more efficient use of this underutilized resource.
