An efficient quantum proactive incremental learning algorithm

In scenarios where a large amount of data needs to be learned,incremental learning can make full use of old knowledge,signif-icantly reduce the computational cost of the overall learning process,and maintain high *** this paper,taking the MaxCut problem as our example,we introduce the idea of incremental learning into quantum computing,and propose a Quantum Proactive Incremental Learning algorithm(QPIL).Instead of a one-off training of quantum circuit,QPIL contains a multi-phase training on gradually-increased subgraphs of all vertices,proactively reducing large-scale problems to smaller ones to solve in steps,providing an efficient solution for ***,some vertices and corresponding edges are randomly selected for training to obtain optimized parameters of the quantum circuit at ***,in each incremental phase,the remaining vertices and corresponding edges are gradually added and the parameters obtained from the previous phase are reused in the parameter initialization of the current *** perform experiments on 120 different small-scale graphs,and it shows that QPIL performs superior to prevalent quantum and classical baselines in terms of approximation ratio(AR),time cost,anti-forgetting,and solv-ing *** particular,QPIL’s AR surpasses 20%of mainstream quantum baselines,and the time cost is less than 1/5 of *** idea of QPIL is expected to inspire efficient and high-quality solutions in large-scale MaxCut and other combinatorial optimization problems.

Carbon dots(CDs)are a type of fluorescent nanomaterial that have gained significant attention due to their simple synthesis method and excellent optical *** unique structure of CDs also allows for effective luminescence *** have been reported to be pH-sensitive in many ***,most of these reports are based on the variation of the luminescence intensity of CDs with pH *** are few reports on exploring the linearly tunable variation of the luminescence wavelength with pH ***,we synthesized novel pH-sensitive CDs using a simple solvothermal *** synthesized CDs can change their luminescence emission wavelength by simply adjusting the pH of the *** change in emission wavelength may be due to the alteration in the surface state of the CDs caused by the pH *** luminous color change of the CDs allows for visual detection of the pH of the *** addition,a color-changing hydrogel composite for pH sensing was designed based on the pH sensitivity of the *** CDs@hydrogel has conductive properties that enable it to be used for motion sensing and sweat pH detection.

Simulations of electron zebra stripes in the inner radiation belt using a composite empirical electric field model

The phenomenon termed“zebra stripes”manifests as regular patterns in the energy-space(L shell)spectrum of energetic electrons(ranging from tens to hundreds ke V)within the inner radiation *** structures exhibit drift-periodic behavior and commonly arise from large-scale electric field perturbations near the substorm *** this study,we introduce a composite electric field model and replicate the formation,structure,and evolution of zebra stripes using a bounce-averaged test particle code under this electric field ***-resolution measurements of energetic electrons obtained from the Van Allen Probes and the recently launched Macao Science Satellites-1 are used as initial conditions and served to validate our test particle *** analyses between observed data and simulations demonstrate our test particle method's efficacy in capturing zebra stripes'general ***,the composite model proves capable of reproducing realistic variations in the electric field within the inner radiation belt to a certain ***,subtle differences emerge in the flux strength and the positions of *** disparities primarily stem from limitations inherent in the electric field model and the initial conditions of the *** that the model represents an average case,it is conceivable that real-world scenarios may deviate from the average,thereby introducing variations in the observed phenomena.

Seismites of the Late Triassic Lockatong Formation,Pennsylvania,USA:implications for Newark Basin border fault movement

Numerous soft-sediment deformation structures(SSDS) within thin-bedded, heterolithic lacustrine shoreline deposits of the Upper Triassic Tumble Falls Member, Lockatong Formation of eastern Pennsylvania, demonstrate liquefaction, fluidization and shearing features processes affecting sediment. This study employs thin-section analysis of SSDS to interpret them as probable seismites from the Triassic-Jurassic Newark Basin. Sedimentary structures include right-lateral offset of desiccation cracks and ichnofossils, thrust,reverse, and normal faults with mm-scale offsets, horsts and grabens, lateral spreads, and single and complex multiple networks of dikes and sills and associated sedimentary volcanoes, thin mudflows on a paleosurface linked to sediment dikes, load and flame structures, ball and pillow structures, recumbent folds, and incipient breccias. Dike fill consists of mudstone, angular sedimentary clasts, sandstone margins with mudstone cores,and plastically deformed sediment fill. The SSDS indicate that Late Triassic lacustrine shoreline sediments were subjected to forces, probably compressive with a minimal shear component reflected in the offset of the dikes and ichnofossils, that induced liquefaction followed by fluidization and vertical movement of *** forces that altered sediment vertical stability, leading to deformation of the sediment included gravitationally unstable density gradients, vertical shear stress, and gravitational body forces. SSDS can be induced by seismic and aseismic processes. However, this unique combination of forces and resulting sedimentary structures indicate an origin by earthquake activity, likely produced by the nearby, active Newark Basin border fault system. The Lockatong Formation SSDS seismites improve our understanding via thin section analysis of the rheology and preservation potential of SSDS in lacustrine shoreline deposits, critical for the geologic history of Newark Basin, as well as the refinement for paleos

A novel combined method for the formation of composite coatings on the Mg-Mn-Ce alloy is *** like matrix was formed on the Mg alloy surface by the plasma electrolytic *** the samples were subsequently processed by dip-coating in an alcohol suspension of superdispersed polytetrafluoroethylene and spraying with the tetrafluoroethylene telomers ***,OSP,and SPM was used to study structure of formed *** was established by measurements of CA and CAH,as well as surface free energy calculations that formed coatings demonstrate superhydrophobic properties due to the presence of an irregular hierarchical surface structure and low surface free energy of *** coating preserves its hydrophobic properties after exposure to high and low temperatures,for a long time as well as being in corrosive *** and XRD data analysis confirmed the presence of organofluorine compounds in the composite layers,including in the form of crystalline *** potentiodynamic polarization test and EIS,it was found that the resulting coatings significantly increase the corrosion resistance of Mg *** data are also confirmed by salt spray tests for 40 *** of fluoropolymers additionally decrease coatings coefficient of friction.

Substantial effects of photochemical reaction losses of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)on factor profiles can be investigated by comparing the differences between daytime and nighttime dispersion-normalized VOC data resolved *** speciated VOC data measured in Shijiazhuang,China from May to September 2021 were used to conduct *** mean VOC concentration in the daytime and at nighttime were 32.8 and 36.0 ppbv,*** and aromatics concentrations in the daytime(12.9 and 3.08 ppbv)were lower than nighttime(15.5 and 3.63 ppbv),whereas that of alkenes showed the opposite *** concentration differences between daytime and nighttime for alkynes and halogenated hydrocarbonswere uniformly *** reactivities of the dominant species in factor profiles for gasoline emissions,natural gas and diesel vehicles,and liquefied petroleum gas were relatively low and their profiles were less affected by photochemical *** losses produced a substantial impact on the profiles of solvent use,petrochemical industry emissions,combustion sources,and biogenic emissions where the dominant species in these factor profiles had high *** the profile of biogenic emissions was substantially affected by photochemical loss of isoprene,the low emissions at nighttime also had an important impact on its *** losses of highly active VOC species substantially reduced their concentrations in apportioned factor *** study results were consistent with the analytical results obtained through initial concentration estimation,suggesting that the initial concentration estimation could be the most effective currently availablemethod for the source analyses of active VOCs although with uncertainty.

Preparation of silver nanoparticles through the reduction of straw-extracted lignin and its antibacterial hydrogel
