Cobalt-based alloy(Co-30Cr-5.5Mo)is produced by the investment casting *** alloy complies with the ASTM F75 standard and is widely used in the manufacturing of orthopedic implants because of its high strength,good corrosion resistance and excellent biocompatibility ***,XRD and microhardness tests are used to examine the mechanical properties of the *** examined material exhibits the behaviour of indentation size effect(ISE).Our results reveal that Vickers and Knoop microhardness are dependent on indentation test *** traditional Meyer's law,the proportional specimen resistance(PSR)model and the Hays-Kendall model(HK)are used to analyze the load dependence of the *** a result,the Hays-Kendall model is found to be the most effective to determine the load-independent hardness HLI of CoCrMo alloy.

The redox behavior of spironolactone（SP） drug in Britton-Robinson（BR） buffer of pH 2-11 was investigated by differential pulse cathodic stripping voltammetry（DPCSV） and cyclic voltammetry（CV） at hanging mercury dropping electrode（HMDE）.At pH 9-10.5,the DPCSV of SP drug showed two cathodic peaks at1.15 and1.38 V at the HMDE ***/AgCl reference *** the CV,at pH 9-10,the dependence of the cathodic peak current,Ip,c and peak potential,Ep,c of the second peak（Ep,c2） on the scan rate（n） and on the depolizer（SP） concentrations was typical of an electrode coupled（EC） chemical reaction type *** plot of Ip,cat 1.380 V of the DPCSV *** concentration at pH 9 was linear over the concentration range of 1.2×1010-9.6×107 *** lower limit of detection（LLOD） and limit of quantification（LOQ） of the drug were 1.1×1011 and 4.14×1011 M,*** method was successfully applied for the analysis of SP residues in industrial wastewater,in pure form（98.273.1%） and in drug formulations *** tablet（98.3572.9%）.The method was validated by comparison with HPLC and the official data methods.

Micro-expression is manifested through subtle and brief facial movements that relay the genuine person’s hidden *** a sequence of videos,there is a frame that captures the maximum facial differences,which is called the apex ***,apex frame spotting is a crucial sub-module in a micro-expression recognition ***,this spotting task is very challenging due to the characteristics of micro-expression that occurs in a short duration with low-intensity muscle ***,most of the existing automated works face difficulties in differentiating micro-expressions from other facial ***,this paper presents a deep learning model with an attention mechanism to spot the micro-expression apex frame from optical flow *** attention mechanism is embedded into the model so that more weights can be allocated to the regions that manifest the facial movements with higher *** method proposed in this paper has been tested and verified on two spontaneous micro-expression databases,namely Spontaneous Micro-facial Movement(SAMM)and Chinese Academy of sciences Micro-expression(CASME)II *** proposed system performance is evaluated by using the Mean Absolute Error(MAE)metric that measures the distance between the predicted apex frame and the ground truth *** best MAE of 14.90 was obtained when a combination of five convolutional layers,local response normalization,and attention mechanism is used to model the apex frame *** with limited datasets,the results have proven that the attention mechanism has better emphasized the regions where the facial movements likely to occur and hence,improves the spotting performance.

The multiple endothermic peaks without observable recrystallization phenomenon of isomorphous poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate)[P(HB-co-HV)]with the middle HV content of 19.4 mol%and 28.7 mol%were confirmed by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),and the evolutions of crystal structure and lamellar morphology in the heating and melting process were tracked by in situ synchrotron wide angle X-ray diffraction(WAXD)and small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS)*** emergence of asymmetric features of both the diffraction peaks and scattering curves indicates the coexistence of different lamellar crystals with varied unit cell *** on the in situ WAXD and SAXS measurements,we calculated the evolutions of the unit cell parameters a and b as well as the long period and lamellar thickness upon *** comparative analysis of WAXD and SAXS data confirms that the multiple endothermic peaks of P(HB-co-19.4%HV)and P(HB-co-28.7%HV)result from the melting of different lamellae rather than the melting/*** thinner,unstable uniform lamellae with HV counits total inclusion melt first and the thicker,stable sandwich lamellae with HV counits partial inclusion melt *** addition,the large second melting peak in P(H B-co-19.4%HV),differing from that of samples with HV content of 28.7 mol%and 36.2 mol%,is due to the unique state of HV content leading to a transition of sandwich lamellae to uniform *** present study establishes the relationship between the different lamellae structure and multiple melting behaviors of isomorphous copolymer.

Q-Switching Pulse Operation in 1.5-μm Region Using Copper Nanoparticles as Saturable Absorber

We demonstrate a passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser （EDFL） using a copper nanoparticle （CuNP） thin film as the saturable absorber in a ring cavity. A stable Q-switched pulse operation is observed as the CuNP saturable absorber （SA） is introduced in the cavity. The pulse repetition rate of the EDFL is observed to be proportional to the pump power, and is limited to 101.2kHz by the maximum pump power of 113.7mW. On the other hand, the pulse width reduces from 10.19μs to 4.28μs as the pump power is varied from 26.1 mW to 113.7mW. The findings suggest that CuNP SA could be useful as a potential saturable absorber for the development of the robust, compact, efficient and low cost Q-switched fiber laser operating at 1.5-μm region.

Objective:To understand the cause for the differences between potentially mild Southeast Asian and the more pathogenic ZIKV in South ***:A comparative genomic analysis was performed to determine putative causations stemming from ***:Phylogcnctic analyses integrating geographical and time factors revealed that Southeast Asian ZIKV might not be the direct source of South American outbreaks as previously *** acid residues unique to South American ZIKV isolates at the envelope,pr and NS1 proteins are listed and shown in the structural *** unique residues on external viral proteins are not found in Southeast Asian ZIKV and could be responsible for the ongoing outbreak either via an intrinsic property of the virus or interactions with human *** a selected few primer/probe sets currently in clinical use were identified of being capable of detecting ZIKV strains *** envelope proteins of dengue virus(DENV) and ZIKV also showed a remarkable degree of similarity especially at the surface ***:findings that may help explain the cross-reactivity of DENV antibodies to ***,major caveats must be exercised in using existing diagnostic tools for ZIKV.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of exercise-induced muscle fatigue in the unaffected knee joint on postural control and kinematic changes in stroke patients. Forty participants（20 stroke patients, 20 age-matched healthy participants） were recruited. To induce fatigue, maximum voluntary isometric contractions were performed in the unaffected knee joint in a Leg Extension Rehab exercise machine using the pneumatic resistance. We measured static and dynamic balance and lower-limb kinematics during gait. Changes in postural control parameters anteroposterior sway speed and total center of pressure distance differed significantly between the stroke and control groups. In addition, changes in gait kinematic parameters knee and ankle angles of initial contact differed significantly between stroke（paretic and non-paretic） and control groups. Muscle fatigue in the unaffected knee and ankle impaired postural control and debilitates kinematic movement of ipsilateral and contralateral lower limbs, and may place the fatigued stroke patients at greater risk for falls.

Tetracycline selective electrode using molecularly imprinted polymer particles as quasi-ionophore was constructed the first time, and its performance was carefully characterized. Due to the specific recognition of tetracycline by the particles, the selectivity coefficients for routine interferences were less than 10-4. Benefited from the absence of tetracycline in the sensitive membrane and the optimized composition of the inner filling solution, the limit of detection of the electrode was reduced to about 2.5 × 10^-8 mol/ L. It exhibited a good electrode slope 57.6 mV/decade near the theoretical Nernstian one, with a wide linear working range from 6.0 × 10^-8 to 1.0 × 10^-3 mol/L. The fabricated electrode should be used in pH 2--4, response time of which was less than 200 s when the concentration of tetracycline was higher than 1.0 × 10^-6 mol/L and no more than 30 min at the concentration of 1.0 × 10^-8 mol/L.
