What people believe about their illness may affect how they cope with it. It has been suggested that such beliefs may be commonly held within society. This cross-sectional investigation examined the cardiac beliefs and misconceptions among cardiac patients and people with chronic illness. Participants with a noncardiac chronic illness hold similar cardiac misconceptions to people with heart disease (p = 0.58). Both groups showed high agreement on “people with heart disease should take life easy” and “always avoid anything that might bring on angina”. People with chronic illness are more likely than cardiac patients to believe that “once you have has one heart attack you are bound to have another one”.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of modified atmosphere packaging(MAP)on fish skin,gills and intestines bacterial *** gilthead seabream was packed aerobically or under modified atmospheres(60%CO_(2),30%N_(2),10%O_(2))and stored isothermally at 0℃.Next Generation Sequencing(NGS)analysis was applied for the characterization of fish microbiome on fish skin,gills,and intestines initially(time of packaging,1 day after harvesting)and after 10 days of isothermal storage at 0℃.NGS results indicated statistically significant differences in families’richness and diversity in the tested fish tissues between aerobic and MAP packaging during storage at 0℃.The most persistent bacteria were Proteobacteria for both packaging *** fish skin microbiota,the initially prevailing families were Comamonadaceae,Enterobacteriaceae and Moraxellaceae while in the intestines Comamonadaceae,Anaplasmataceae,Bacillaceae and Enterobacteriaceae were the dominant *** the end of storage period,the fish microbiota was dominated by psychotropic and psychrophilic families(Pseudoalteromonadaceae,Psychromonadaceae,and Shewanellaceae),while families such as Comamonadaceae were persistent under MAP *** 8 days of fish storage at 0℃,МАРsamples exhibited higher sensory scorings than the respective aerobically stored fish,indicating better retention of fish freshness and fish quality attributes under *** on the results of the study,MAP modified significantly the microbiological status and extended the shelf life of *** was a powerful tool that provided a more complete assessment compared to a culture-based analysis.

Development and validation of a simple UV spectrophotometric method for the determination of levofloxacin both in bulk and marketed dosage formulations

A rapid, specific and economic UV spectrophotometric method has been developed using a solvent composed of water：methanol：acetonitrile （9：0.5：0.5） to determine the levofloxacin content in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage formulations. At a pre-determined 2 of 292 nm, it was proved linear in the range of 1.0 12.0 μg/mL, and exhibited good correlation coefficient （R2=0.9998） and excellent mean recovery （99.0-100.07%）. This method was successfully applied to the determination of levofloxacin content in five marketed brands from Bangladesh and the results were in good agreement with the label claims. The method was validated statistically and by recovery studies for linearity, precision, repeatability, and reproducibility. The obtained results proved that the method can be employed for the routine analysis of levofloxacin in bulks as well as in the commercial formulations.

In this paper, the authors outline a formal system for reasoning about agents＇ knowledge in knowledge games-a special type of multi-agent system. Knowledge games are card games where the agents＇ actions involve an exchange of information with other agents in the game. The authors＇ system is modeled using Coq-a formal proof management system. To the best of the authors＂ knowledge, there are no papers in which knowledge games are considered using a Coq proof assistant. The authors use the dynamic logic of common knowledge, where they particularly focus on the epistemic consequences of epistemic actions carried out by agents. The authors observe the changes in the system that result from such actions. Those changes that can occur in such a system that are of interest to the authors take the form of agents＇ knowledge about the state of the system, knowledge about other agents＇ knowledge, higher-order agents＇ knowledge and so on, up to common knowledge. Besides an axiomatic ofepistemic logic, the authors use a known axiomatization of card games that is extended with some new axioms that are required for the authors＇ approach. Due to a deficit in implementations grounded in theory that enable players to compute their knowledge in any state of the game, the authors show how the authors＇ approach can be used for these purposes.

For many decades,acid deposition used to pose a significant regional air pollution challenge in *** substantial emission control of anthropogenically derived sulfur and nitrogen containing gasses,both sulfur and nitrogen deposition,as well as the acid rain-affected area,have significantly decreased compared to their peak ***,particularly in the humid subtropics,are sensitive to acid deposition,as evidenced by soil acidification,sulfate and nitrate leaching in stream water,and elevated soil nitrous oxide *** in the total deposition of sulfur and nitrogen,caused a significant decline in sulfate and nitrate leaching from subtropical forest and subsequently in sulfate and nitrate concentrations in stream water,although there was about a 5-year *** delay may be attributed to the desorption of accumulated sulfate and continued elevated mineralization of accumulated nitrogen *** of nitrous oxide,a potent greenhouse gas,also declined in nitrogen-saturated subtropical forest soils,as soil water nitrate concentration ***,subtropical forests in China suffering from elevated acid deposition have begun to ***,the current levels of sulfur and nitrogen deposition continue to exceed the critical loads,i.e.,the assigned threshold levels in accordance with emission control policies,in more than 10%of the country’s land area,respectively,indicating remaining risks of acidification and ***,further emission reductions are urgently needed,also because they will help achieving goals related to air quality and nitrous oxide emissions.

Intelligent vehicle tracking and detection are crucial tasks in the realm of highway ***,vehicles come in a range of sizes,which is challenging to detect,affecting the traffic monitoring system’s overall *** learning is considered to be an efficient method for object detection in vision-based *** this paper,we proposed a vision-based vehicle detection and tracking system based on a You Look Only Once version 5(YOLOv5)detector combined with a segmentation *** model consists of six *** the first step,all the extracted traffic sequence images are subjected to pre-processing to remove noise and enhance the contrast level of the *** pre-processed images are segmented by labelling each pixel to extract the uniform regions to aid the detection phase.A single-stage detector YOLOv5 is used to detect and locate vehicles in *** detection was exposed to Speeded Up Robust Feature(SURF)feature extraction to track multiple *** on this,a unique number is assigned to each vehicle to easily locate them in the succeeding image frames by extracting them using the feature-matching ***,we implemented a Kalman filter to track multiple *** the end,the vehicle path is estimated by using the centroid points of the rectangular bounding box predicted by the tracking *** experimental results and comparison reveal that our proposed vehicle detection and tracking system outperformed other state-of-the-art *** proposed implemented system provided 94.1%detection precision for Roundabout and 96.1%detection precision for Vehicle Aerial Imaging from Drone(VAID)datasets,respectively.

Background:N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)and DNA 5-methylcytosine(5mC)methylation plays crucial roles in diverse biological processes,including skeletal muscle development and *** studies unveiled a potential link between these two systems,implicating the potential mechanism of coordinated transcriptional and post-transcrip-tional regulation in porcine prenatal myogenesis and postnatal skeletal muscle ***:Immunofluorescence and co-IP assays were carried out between the 5mC writers and m^(6)A writers to investigate the molecular basis ***-scale in-house transcriptomic data were compiled for applying weighted correlation network analysis(WGCNA)to identify the co-expression patterns of m^(6)A and 5mC regulators and their potential role in pig ***-genome bisulfite sequencing(WGBS)and methylated RNA immu-noprecipitation sequencing(MeRIP-seq)were performed on the skeletal muscle samples from Landrace pigs at four postnatal growth stages(days 30,60,120 and 180).Results:Significantly correlated expression between 5mC writers and m^(6)A writers and co-occurrence of 5mC and m^(6)A modification were revealed from public datasets of C2C12 *** protein-protein interactions between the DNA methylase and the m^(6)A methylase were observed in mouse myoblast ***,by analyzing tran-scriptome data comprising 81 pig skeletal muscle samples across 27 developmental stages,we identified a 5mC/m^(6)A epigenetic module eigengene and decoded its potential functions in pre-or post-transcriptional regulation in postnatal skeletal muscle development and growth of *** integrative multi-omics analyses on the WGBS methylome data and MeRIP-seq data for both m^(6)A and gene expression profiles revealed a genome/transcriptome-wide correlated dynamics and co-occurrence of 5mC and m^(6)A modifications as a consequence of 5mC/m^(6)A crosstalk in the postnatal myogenesis progress of ***,we identified a group of myogenesis-relat

The field of environmental sciences is abundant with various interfaces and is the right place for the application of new fundamental approaches leading towards a better understanding of environmental phenomena. Following the definition of environmental interface by Mihailovic and Bala? [1], such interface can be, for example, placed between: human or animal bodies and surrounding air, aquatic species and water and air around them, and natural or artificially built surfaces (vegetation, ice, snow, barren soil, water, urban communities) and the atmosphere, cells and surrounding environment, etc. Complex environmental interface systems are (i) open and hierarchically organised (ii) interactions between their constituent parts are nonlinear, and (iii) their interaction with the surrounding environment is noisy. These systems are therefore very sensitive to initial conditions, deterministic external perturbations and random fluctuations always present in nature. The study of noisy non-equilibrium processes is fundamental for modelling the dynamics of environmental interface regarded as biophysical complex system and for understanding the mechanisms of spatio-temporal pattern formation in contemporary environmental sciences. In this paper we will investigate an aspect of dynamics of energy flow based on the energy balance equation. The energy exchange between interacting environmen- tal interfaces regarded as biophysical complex systems can be represented by coupled maps. Therefore, we will numerically investigate coupled maps representing that exchange. In ana- lysis of behaviour of these maps we applied Lyapunov exponent and cross sample entropy.

The ability to identify a specific type of leukemia using minimally invasive biopsies holds great promise to improve the diagnosis,treatment selection,and prognosis prediction of *** genome-wide methylation profiling and machine learning methods,we investigated the utility of CpG methylation status to differentiate blood from patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia(ALL)or acute myelogenous leukemia(AML)from normal *** established a CpG methylation panel that can distinguish ALL and AML blood from normal blood as well as ALL blood from AML blood with high sensitivity and *** then developed a methylation-based survival classifier with 23 CpGs for ALL and 20 CpGs for AML that could successfully divide patients into high-risk and low-risk groups,with significant differences in clinical outcome in each leukemia ***,these findings demonstrate that methylation profiles can be highly sensitive and specific in the accurate diagnosis of ALL and AML,with implications for the prediction of prognosis and treatment selection.
