A new concept for producing highly pure Ti metal powder from ilmenite(FeTiO)_(3))is proposed in this *** nitride(TiN)or titanium oxycarbonitride(TiO_(x)C_(y)N_(z))could be synthesized in the first step via the simultaneous carbothermal reduction and nitridation(CTRN)of FeTiO3 to remove oxygen *** separate oxygen completely,high-quality TiS2 samples were then synthesized from TiN and TiC using S2 gas,and the clean sulfides were finally reduced toα-Ti powders with spherical morphology using electrolysis in molten CaCl_(2).Xray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)in conjunction with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),and elemental LECO analysis were used to study the phases and microstructures of the sulfides and the electrochemically reduced *** Ti powder showed no carbon contamination and consisted of high-purity foil-like Ti sheets with very low oxygen,carbon,and nitrogen contents of less than 0.15 wt%O,0.02 wt%C,and 0.003 wt%N,*** quality of the Ti powder was much higher than that of the powder obtained using the conventional OS process(proposed by *** and ***)starting directly from the oxides.

Nowadays, rapid technological progress influences the dependability of equipments and also causes rapid obsolescence. The mechatronic and electronic equipment components are mostly affected by obsolescence. A new challenger unit possesses identical functionalities, but with higher performances. This work aims to find the optimal number of components which should be replaced by new-type units, under budgetary constraints. In this work, the new challenger unit is characterized by lower energy consumption and the optimization steps are based on genetic algorithm (GA). The result shows the importance of this type of replacement in order to economize energy consumption and to deal with obsolescence.

Abstract： The containment vessel of a nuclear power plant is the last barrier to prevent nuclear reactor radiation. Aseismic safety analysis is the key to appropriate containment vessel design. A prestressed concrete containment vessel （PCCV） model with a semi-infinite elastic foundation and practical arrangement of tendons has been established to analyze the aseismic ability of the CPR1000 PCCV structure under seismic loads and internal pressure. A method to model the prestressing tendon and its interaction with concrete was proposed and the axial force of the prestressing tendons showed that the simulation was reasonable and accurate. The numerical results show that for the concrete structure, the location of the cylinder wall bottom around the equipment hatch and near the ring beam are critical locations with large principal stress. The concrete cracks occurred at the bottom of the PCCV cylinder wall under the peak earthquake motion of 0.50 g, however the PCCV was still basically in an elastic state. Furthermore, the concrete cracks occurred around the equipment hatch under the design internal pressure of 0.4MPa, but the steel liner was still in the elastic stage and its leak-proof function soundness was verified. The results provide the basis for analysis and design of containment vessels.

Vee-tail configuration is an unconventional tail configuration for commercial transport aviation, the use of which could suppose reductions on CO2 emissions. The conceptual design criteria have been selected inspired on the certification requirements established by the aviation regulation in force. They are static stability in cruise, control after Critical Engine Failure(CEF),control in crosswind landing, and trim in these three conditions. The study is carried out through a combination of semi-empirical techniques and Vortex-Lattice Methods(VLM) and thus this analyses the consequences of applying these criteria to a reference aeroplane substituting its conventional tail by a parametrised Vee-tail configuration. The Vee-tail is defined by four parameters:span, root chord, taper ratio and dihedral angle. The results of the study establish a relation between the parameters in order to accomplish the proposed conceptual design criteria. To sum up, minimum and maximum limits are obtained for dihedral angle depending on the combination of the rest of parameters. In addition, a design restriction to the yawing trailing-edge tail control is reached when the results are analysed, demonstrating that its minimum size must be between 60%and 80% of the half-span of the tail, depending on the Vee-tail geometry.

We demonstrate the first successful attempt to partially substitute Cu into the Mn_(3)AgN-antiperovskite system to form Mn_(3)Ag_((1-x))Cu_((x))N thin films with an ultra-low temperature coefficient of resistance(TCR)for fabrication of ultra-precise passive *** were grown by reactive magnetron sputtering on alumina and glass substrates and were found to be amorphous in nature with highly negative TCR of-233 to-351 ppm/℃in their as-grown *** Cu alloying from x=0 to 1,resulted in increased sheet resistance,a negative shift of TCR and a change of grain morphology from spherical to ***-deposition heat treatment at 300-375℃,resulted in a positive shift of TCR and an ultra-low TCR of-4.66 ppm/℃for films with x=*** heat treatment induces grain growth,surface roughness and the formation of a manganese oxide upper surface layer up until temperatures of 350℃,after which surface oxidation begins to *** growth rate of the surface layer is controlled by the Cu concentration and heat treatment temperature,which both play a central role in the development of these novel ultralow TCR Mn_(3)Ag_((1-x))Cu_((x))N thin film structures.

The nonlinear analysis with an analytical approach on dynamic torsional buckling of stiffened functionally graded thin toroidal shell segments is investigated. The shell is reinforced by inside stiffeners and surrounded by elastic foundations in a thermal environment and under a time-dependent torsional load. The governing equations are derived based on the Donnell shell theory with the yon Karman geometrical nonlinearity, the Stein and McElman assumption, the smeared stiffeners technique, and the Galerkin method. A deflection function with three terms is chosen. The thermal parameters of the uniform temperature rise and nonlinear temperature conduction law are found in an explicit form. A closed-form expression for determining the static critical torsional load is obtained. A critical dynamic torsional load is found by the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method and the Budiansky-Roth criterion. The effects of stiffeners, foundations, material, and dimensional parameters on dynamic responses of shells are considered.

Analysis of evaporation of high-salinity phreatic water at a burial depth of 0 m in an arid area

High-salinity phreatic water refers to which with total dissolved solids（TDS）>30 g/L. Previous studies have shown that high salinity phreatic water evaporation is different at different depths. High salinity phreatic water evaporation under 0 m depth is the basis of the high salinity phreatic water evaporation studies. In this study, evaporation of high-salinity phreatic water at a burial depth of 0 m in arid area was investigated. New insights were gained on evaporation mechanisms via experiments conducted on high-salinity phreatic water with TDS of 100 g/L at 0 m at the study site at Changji Groundwater Balance Experiment Site, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China, where the lithology of the vadose（unsaturated zone） was silty clay. Comparison was made on the data of high-salinity phreatic water evaporation, water surface evaporation(EΦ20) and meteorological data obtained in two complete hydrological years from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2014. The experiments demonstrated that when the lithology of the vadose zone is silty clay, the burial depth is 0 m and the TDS is 100 g/L, intra-annual variation of phreatic water evaporation is the opposite to the variation of atmospheric evaporation EΦ20 and air temperature. The salt crust formed by the evaporation of high-salinity phreatic water has a strong inhibitory effect on phreatic water evaporation. Large volumes of precipitation can reduce such an inhibitory effect. During freezing periods, surface snow cover can promote the evaporation of high-salinity phreatic water at 0 m; the thicker the snow cover, the more apparent this effect is.
