Field training is the backbone of the teacher-preparation *** importance stems from the goals that colleges of education aim to achieve,which include bridging the gap between theory and practice and aligning with contemporary educational trends during teacher ***,trainee students attendance in field training is recordedmanually through signatures on attendance ***,thismethod is prone to impersonation,time wastage,and ***,traditional methods of evaluating trainee students are often susceptible to human errors during the evaluation and scoring *** training also lacks modern technology that the supervisor can use in case of his absence from school to monitor the trainee students’implementation of the required activities and *** shortcomings do not meet the needs of the digital era that universities are currently *** a result,this paper presents a smart management system for field training based on Internet of Things(IoT)and mobile *** includes three subsystems:attendance,monitoring,and *** attendance subsystem uses an R307 fingerprint sensor to record trainee students’*** Arduino Nano microcontroller transmits attendance data to the proposed Android application via an ESP-12F Wi-Fi module,which then forwards it to the Firebase database for *** monitoring subsystem utilizes Global Positioning System(GPS)technology to continually track trainee students’locations,ensuring they remain at the school during *** also enables remote communication between trainee students and supervisors via audio,video,or text by integrating video call and chat *** evaluation subsystem is based on three items:an online exam,attendance,and implementation of required activities and *** results have demonstrated the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed management system in recording attendance,as well as in monitoring and evaluating

A Novel Fusion System Based on Iris and Ear Biometrics for E-exams

With the rapid spread of the coronavirus epidemic all over the world,educational and other institutions are heading towards *** the era of digitization,identifying educational e-platform users using ear and iris based multi-modal biometric systems constitutes an urgent and interesting research topic to pre-serve enterprise security,particularly with wearing a face mask as a precaution against the new coronavirus *** study proposes a multimodal system based on ear and iris biometrics at the feature fusion level to identify students in electronic examinations(E-exams)during the COVID-19 *** proposed system comprises four ***ﬁrst step is image preprocessing,which includes enhancing,segmenting,and extracting the regions of *** second step is feature extraction,where the Haralick texture and shape methods are used to extract the features of ear images,whereas Tamura texture and color histogram methods are used to extract the features of iris *** third step is feature fusion,where the extracted features of the ear and iris images are combined into one sequential fused *** fourth step is the matching,which is executed using the City Block Dis-tance(CTB)for student identiﬁ***ﬁndings of the study indicate that the system’s recognition accuracy is 97%,with a 2%False Acceptance Rate(FAR),a 4%False Rejection Rate(FRR),a 94%Correct Recognition Rate(CRR),and a 96%Genuine Acceptance Rate(GAR).In addition,the proposed recognition sys-tem achieved higher accuracy than other related systems.

Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)have dominated the portable electronic and electrochemical energy markets since their commercialisation,whose high cost and lithium scarcity have prompted the development of other alkali-ion batteries(AIBs)including sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)and potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).Owing to larger ion sizes of Na^(+)and K^(+)compared with Li^(+),nanocomposites with excellent crystallinity orientation and well-developed porosity show unprecedented potential for advanced lithium/sodium/potassium *** enticing open rigid framework structures,Prussian blue analogues(PBAs)remain promising self-sacrificial templates for the preparation of various nanocomposites,whose appeal originates from the well-retained porous structures and exceptional electrochemical activities after thermal *** review focuses on the recent progress of PBA-derived nanocomposites from their fabrication,lithium/sodium/potassium storage mechanism,and applications in AIBs(LIBs,SIBs,and PIBs).To distinguish various PBA derivatives,the working mechanism and applications of PBA-templated metal oxides,metal chalcogenides,metal phosphides,and other nanocomposites are systematically evaluated,facilitating the establishment of a structure–activity correlation for these *** on the fruitful achievements of PBA-derived nanocomposites,perspectives for their future development are envisioned,aiming to narrow down the gap between laboratory study and industrial reality.

Synergistic effect of bonding heterogeneity and phonon localization in introducing excellent thermoelectric properties in layered heteroanionic NdZnSbO material

Layered rare-earth metal oxides, harnessing the dual properties of oxides and two-dimensional layered materials, exhibit remarkable thermal stability and quantum confinement effects. Therefore, this work adopts the first-principles calculation combined with the Boltzmann transport theory to predict the thermoelectric properties of NdZnSbO compound. The coexistence of weak interlayer van der Waals interactions, robust intralayer ionic bonding, and partial covalent bonding leads to remarkable bonding heterogeneity, which engenders pronounced phonon scattering and imposes constraints on thermal transport along the out-of-plane direction. The weakened chemical bonds induced by the antibonding states, together with the rattling-like behavior of the Zn atom, culminate in the profound anharmonicity in the layered NdZnSbO compound. The weakening bond and heavy element contribute to the softness of phonon modes, which significantly diminishes the phonon group velocity. The redistribution-dominated four-phonon scattering process spans a large optical gap, which effectively reduces the lattice thermal conductivity. The NdZnSbO compound exhibits direct semiconductor characteristic with a bandgap of 0.73 e V by adopting the Heyd-Scuseria-Ernzerhof(HSE06) functional in combination with spin–orbit coupling(SOC) effect. The multi-valley feature of NdZnSbO compound augur favorably for band degeneracy, thus amplifying the power factor. Consequently, an optimal figure-of-merit(ZT) of 3.40 at 900 K is achieved for the n-type NdZnSbO compound. The present study delves deeply insights into the origins for the low thermal conductivity of NdZnSbO compound and proposes an optimization scheme to enhance overall thermoelectric performance.

Intelligent interaction system based on multimodal conformal triboelectric nanogenerator patch for disabled sports and life

Intelligent interaction technology based on advanced sensing units has become a research hotspot. In this paper, an intelligent interaction system (IIS) based on a multimodal conformal triboelectric nanogenerator patch (MCTP) is reported for sports monitoring and life promotion of the disabled. This IIS consists of a cloud-based smart sports recognition program and a smart life application. The porous micro-reinforced structure of polyurethane (PU) Sponge&Ecoflex, and the surface modification of PTFE by coating it with MXene endows the MCTP with excellent electrical properties. It shows good angle and force sensitivities of 1.1 V/°and 1.61 V/N, respectively, and has an ultra-fast response time of 15 ms, meeting the needs of human motion monitoring. The MCTP can also capture the mechanical energy, producing a maximum output power of 139μ*** with the commercial inertial measuring unit (IMU), the MCTP shows better consistency in human joint angle sensing. A precise analysis of wheelchair curling sports monitoring points is achieved by combining the MCTP and the human anatomy model. The cloud-based smart sports recognition program utilizes machine learning to achieve visual feedback on the three throwing technologies of draw, takeout and clearing. In addition, the developed smart life application uses a highsensitivity MCTP-sensor array design to achieve a variety of smart home interactions through simple finger touches. Overall,the IIS integrates the three major functions of smart sports sensing, energy capture, and smart home control, providing important application prospects in the fields of smart sports and human-computer interaction for the disabled.

The prophylactic effects of Chinese propolis against cypermethrin toxicity were evaluated by performing ovary and uterus histopathology, as well as by characterizing ovarian function, embryos, and litters. Cypermethrin induced atypia in the ovary and uterus, and decreased the ovulation sites and the number of embryos. Cypermethrin-induced oxidative stress during pregnancy, decreased the parturition rate as well as the number and weight of offspring and increased the incidence of morphological malformations in the offspring. Administration of propolis to cypermethrin-treated animals mitigated cypermethrin-induced reproductive toxicity.

Production of HfO_2 thin films using different methods: chemical bath deposition, SILAR and sol–gel process

Hafnium oxide thin films （HOTFs） were successfully deposited onto amorphous glasses using chemical bath deposition, successive ionic layer absorption and reaction （SILAR）, and sol-gel methods. The same reactive precursors were used for all of the methods, and all of the films were annealed at 300℃ in an oven （ambient conditions）. After this step, the optical and structural properties of the films produced by using the three different methods were compared. The structures of the films were analyzed by X-ray diffTaction （XRD）. The optical properties are investigated using the ultraviolet-visible （UV-VIS） spectroscopic technique. The film thickness was measured via atomic force microscopy （AFM） in the tapping mode. The surface properties and elemental ratios of the films were investigated and measured by scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDX）. The lowest transmittance and the highest reflectance values were observed for the films produced using the SILAR method. In addition, the most intense characteristic XRD peak was observed in the diffraction pattern of the film produced using the SILAR method, and the greatest thickness and average grain size were calculated for the film produced using the SILAR method. The films produced using SILAR method contained fewer cracks than those produced using the other methods. In conclusion, the SILAR method was observed to be the best method for the production of HOTFs.
