Exploring a spatial-experiential structure within the Chinese literati garden: The Master of the Nets Garden as a case study

Experts in the field of architecture and landscape design have reached a broad consensus that the Chinese literati garden is a type of built environment that seamlessly integrates architecture and landscape with exceptional cultural,artistic,and historical ***,previous site-based studies have often leaned towards either a subjective description of the experience or a technical analysis of the *** approaches may result in oversimplified interpretations of the Chinese literati garden,failing to adequately capture its fundamental spatial-experiential *** paper aims to address this challenge through the lens of ***,it examines an essential spatial-experiential structuredthe FS-FW structuredembedded within the Chinese literati *** term FS-FW structure,as meticulously established in this paper,refers to the spatial-experiential structure formed by the relationship between one’s experience within a single“focusing space”(a space built for visitors to linger and mindfully appreciate their surroundings)and that within its“focused world”(a phenomenal world of surroundings generated during visitors’stay in the focusing space).Using the Master of the Nets Garden as a case study,this paper investigates how the FS-FW structure shapes one’s experiences within a literati garden and explores several important mechanisms related to it.A variety of methods are employed throughout,with GIS-based spatial-visual analysis being particularly *** case study leads to a series of original results,including some significant mechanisms,that explain how Chinese literati gardens shape visitors’*** paper concludes that the FS-FW structure is a key factor responsible for shaping a continuous,rich,and clearly formulated experience within the Chinese literati garden.

Referential studies of the Fusion Between Linguistics and Ecology

The fusion of linguistics and ecology leads to either ecolinguistics or linguistic *** Haugenian approach and the Hallidayan approach are generally regarded by European,American and Chinese scholars as two paradigms of ecolinguistics *** Russia,some scholars share the same view while most do *** sum up,there are five different viewpoints regarding the disciplines formed by the fusion of linguistics and *** are the identical view,the parallel view,the inclusive&identical view,the inclusive¶llel view,and the parallel&overlapping *** paper studies these different viewpoints from the perspectives of the discipline’s foundation,research paradigm,research objective,task,content and terminological system and concludes that the combination of ecology and linguistics can produce“linguistic ecology”and“ecolinguistics”,or“ecology+linguistics”.

The engineering of doxorubicin-loaded liposome-quantum dot hybrids for cancer theranostics

Many studies have recently attempted to develop multifunctional nanoconstructs by integrating the superior fluores- cence properties of quantum dots （QD） with therapeutic capabilities into a single vesicle for cancer theranostics. Liposome- quantum dot （L-QD） hybrid vesicles have shown promising potential for the construction of multifunctional nanoconstructs for cancer imaging and therapy. To fulfil such a potential, we report here the further functionalization of L-QD hybrid vesi- cles with therapeutic capabilities by loading anticancer drug doxorubicin （Dox） into their aqueous core. L-QD hybrid vesi- cles are first engineered by the incorporation of TOPO-capped, CdSe/ZnS QD into the lipid bilayers of DSPC：Chol：DSPE- PEG2000, followed by Dox loading using the pH-gradient technique. The loading efficiency of Dox into L-QD hybrid vesicles is achieved up to 97%, comparable to liposome control. All these evidences prove that the incorporation of QD into the lipid bilayer does not affect Dox loading through the lipid membrane of liposomes using the pH-gradient technique. Moreover, the release study shows that Dox release profile can be modulated simply by changing lipid composition. In conclusion, the Dox-loaded L-QD hybrid vesicles presented here constitute a promising multifunctional nanoconstruct capable of transporting combinations of therapeutic and diagnostic modalities.

Barriers and Suggested Facilitators to the Implementation of Best Practice: An Integrative Review

It is well known that the incorporation of research findings into practice leads to less costs of health care, more personal productivity, longer and healthier lives for patients, and also will decrease pain and suffering of patients. Thus, the aim of this integrative review was to identify the barriers and facilitators of research utilization among the world and the best strategies used to overcome the barriers. A literature search was conducted by viewing relevant studies via computerized searching through EBSCO, Medline, Science Direct, Pub Med, Ovid, and Arabic Journals research databases. The number of reviewed studies was 192 and all of them in English, no studies in Arabic. Only 26 of them were selected based on inclusion criteria. Twenty six studies were included, with most using a cross-sectional survey design. The most identified barriers are lack of time, inadequate facilities and resources to implement new ideas, no enough authority to implement new ideas, lack of administrative support and others, while the most identified suggested that facilitators are improving the scientific knowledge of nurses and support from unit managers. The majority of these studies used Barriers scale which is not a standardized tool. However, there is a big gap between real situation and the identified evidences resulted from researches.

Current climate challenges and energy concerns have urged scientists, researchers, and governments to take action in order to reduce carbon footprint and energy consumption. Considering the growing need for energy supplies, the reliability and sustainability of power plants are another area of concern for communities. Since building is among the major consumers of electricity (almost 40%), the energy management strategies have been substantially focused on demand side management and building operation system. Energy efficiency, peak-load management, and demand response are among the most outstanding and widespread practices in order to reduce building energy consumption and peak demand. Smart grids and smart meters are considerably gaining the attention of policy makers in most developed and developing countries. This paper will revolve around these outstanding energy management strategies and technologies and their merits and drawbacks in the journey of current communities towards sustainability.

Side Effects of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine among Libyan Young Adults: Observational Study

Purpose: Since the mRNA technology used to manufacture Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine is new, it is still difficult to predict its consequences. However, many young people, especially in developing countries, think that they are less susceptible to severe infection with the Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), Therefore, they do not prefer to take the COVID-19 vaccines. Accordingly, studies in this aspect are necessary to increase people’s awareness of the acceptance of vaccination, especially for the youth. Patients and Methods: This study was conducted on healthy young adults of both sexes. Participants (n = 81) were received two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. A paper questionnaire was prepared, the survey asks about the side effects related to receiving the Vaccine. All participants completed the questionnaire twice, once after the first dose and again after the second dose. Data were collected and statistically analyzed. Results: The most common side effects were Muscle pain, Tiredness, Headache, and Fever. Less common side effects were Chills, Fainted, Breathlessness, and Coughing. Rare side effects include nausea and vomiting, Diarrhea, Anaphylactic Reaction, and Swollen Lymph Nodes. Side effects that are strongly associated with females are Headache, and Joint pain, for males, Anaphylactic reaction. The study revealed a significant difference between the number of females (96.5%) and males (85%) who suffered from the side effects of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine (P = 0.033). Conclusion: Most of the side effects reported in our study were consistent with Pfizer’s fact sheet for recipients and caregivers. Through our follow-up to the participants in the study, we noticed that the reported side effects were not too bad, and they were able to carry out their daily activities, so we recommend taking the vaccine, especially for young people.

Purpose： In this contribution we continue our investigations related to the activity index （A/） and its formal analogs. We try to replace the AI by an indicator which is better suited for policy applications. Design/methodology/approach： We point out that fluctuations in the value of the AI for a given country and domain are never the result of that country＇s policy with respect to that domain alone because there are exogenous factors at play. For this reason we introduce the F-measure. This F-measure is nothing but the harmonic mean of the country＇s share in the world＇s publication output in the given domain and the given domain＇s share in the country＇s publication ***： The F-measure does not suffer from the problems the AI does Research limitations： The indicator is not yet fully tested in real cases R＆D policy management： In policy considerations, the AI should better be replaced by the F-measure as this measure can better show the results of science policy measures （which the AI cannot as it depends on exogenous factors）. Originality/value： We provide an original solution for a problem that is not fully realized by policy makers.

Moderators of occupational pressure in female health professionals—Individual differences and coping skills

Individual differences and coping skills have influential impacts on stress process by influencing the eventual outcomes of the stressors, contributing to either wellbeing, or illness and negative experiences. The aim of this paper is to explore the individual differences and coping strategies of a cohort of women with health professionals’ occupational pressure. This is a cross-sectional survey, informed by the transactional model of stress and coping framework, and carried out on women health professionals (n = 203) from the Kuala Lumpur Hospital. Multiple regressions were conducted to examine the potential moderators of stress. Women Health Professionals reported stress with six out of eight organizational sources of pressure, with relationship being a key stressor. Their individual differences (mean + SD) were characterised by low drive (7.6 + 1.9-8.2 + 2.0), low personal influence (10.8 + 2.0 to 11.7 + 2.3), moderate control (13.4 + 3.4 to 16.3 + 2.4), and high impatience behaviour (19.1 + 3.8 to 20.4 + 3.3). With Coping strategy, the Life-work-balance coping is a significant positive predictor for five out of the nine outcomes of occupational pressure [state of mind (p ress management guideline to ameliorate stress amongst those vulnerable workers. Future studies to examine individual differences of these female-dominated professions across health setting are needed to better inform the pressure-at-work issues for the increasing Asian women health professionals.

Improved Electro Search Algorithm with Intelligent Controller Control System:ESPID Algorithm

studies have established that hybrid models outperform single *** particle swarm algorithm(PSO)-based PID(proportional-integral-derivative)controller control system is used in this study to determine the parameters that directly impact the speed and performance of the Electro Search(ESO)algorithm to obtain the global optimum *** algorithm was created by integrating this system with the ESO *** improved ESPID algorithm has been applied to 7 multi-modal benchmark test *** acquired results were compared to those derived using the ESO,PSO,Atom Search Optimization(ASO),and Vector Space Model(VSM)*** a consequence,it was determined that the ESPID algorithm’s mean score was superior in all ***,while comparing the mean duration value and standard deviations,it is observed that it is faster than the ESO algorithm and produces more accurate results than other *** algorithm has been used for the least cost problem in the production of pressure vessels,which is one of the real-life *** results were compared with ESO,Genetic algorithm and *** was found to be superior to other methods with the least production cost value of 5885.452.
