Objective:The aim of this research is to explore the life experiences of schizophrenic families in accompanying the recovery process.Methods:This study uses a qualitative method with descriptive phenomenology to explain phenomena from family experiences.The number of the participants was eight families who had family members with schizophrenia.Sampling was determined by purposive sampling.Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using the Colaizzi method.Results:The results of this study show four themes that emerged including(1)psychological burden on the family,(2)families needing support in the recovery process,(3)obstacles due to social stigma,and(4)family gratitude for being able to pass the test patiently.Conclusion:The schizophrenia family’s journey in the recovery process is very long.They are required to endure in assisting the recovery process.Experiences felt by the family include feelings,obstacles,and hopes that arise in carrying out their role to assist the recovery process which aims to improve the health of schizophrenia patients.The findings from this study provide insight for nurses to be able to pay attention to family psychological problems by strengthening families through home visits and health promotion related to the recovery process of survivor schizophrenia.

目的重症监护疼痛观察工具(Critical-care Pain Observation Tool, CPOT)是评估ICU危重症和/或意识水平下降患者疼痛最准确的方法之一。本研究旨在翻译印尼语版CPOT,并验证其效度和信度。方法研究包括初始翻译.综合翻译结果、回译、专家委员会验证.印尼语版工具验证5个步骤。2022年9月- -12月在印度尼西亚4所医院ICU中,对52例患者在翻身前、翻身过程中和翻身后15min进行疼痛评估。使用疼痛程度温度计(Faces Pain Thermometer, FPT)作为金标准来评估CPOT的校标效度。采用内容效度和校标效度评估量表的效度;采用Cronbach's a系数和评分者之间- -致性评估工具的信度。结果患者翻身过程中CPOT评分高于翻身前和翻身后。印尼语版CPOT条目水平内容效度指数为0.75~1.00,量表内容效度指数为0.93。患者CPOT与FPT评分呈正相关(0.877-0.983 ,P<0.01)。CPOT的Cronbach's a系数为0.82,评分者之间测量结果一致性水平均较高(k值范围0.739-0.834 ,P<0.01)。结论印尼语版CPOT用于评估危重症和/或意识水平降低患者的疼痛是有效和可靠的。

With the aging of the country’s population structure,the problem of social pensions is becoming more and more serious.As for the issue of social pension,the elderly with Alzheimer’s disease are a special group,and the issue of care services for these elderly has attracted widespread attention from society.However,judging from the current level of social security provided to the elderly with dementia in the country,there is a serious imbalance between supply and demand.Therefore,this problem needs to be solved urgently and is of great significance for further improving the country’s social pension security system.Routine care is limited to hospitals and mainly focuses on the patient’s condition.Patients fail to receive comprehensive care services and the effect is not ideal.Therefore,in order to improve patients’cognitive function and quality of life,and learn from international experience,a“community-institution-home”three-dimensional linkage care model based on long-term care insurance can be established.The application of this model can effectively solve and further improve the country’s elderly care and social security system.

Research on the Application of Montessori Education Method in Cognitive Training of Patients with Alzheimer’s Disease

Objective:To study the application of the Montessori education method in cognitive training in patients with Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Methods:40 cases of senile dementia patients who were admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group according to the single and double number table method,with 20 cases in each group.The intervention group used the Montessori education method,the principle of which was to implement individualized health interventions based on the individual conditions of the patients,for a period of 6 months;the control group was given conventional treatment and nursing of the disease.The Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)was used to compare the effects of the two groups of patients before and after health intervention and conduct statistical analysis.Results:The score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group,and there was a statistical difference between the two(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing the Montessori education method for diagnosed Alzheimer’s patients can effectively improve their cognitive function and delay the progress of further dementia.

Impaired Cognition and Stroke Rehabilitation Outcomes: Are They Related?

Background: Stroke survivors who exhibit impaired cognition at admission to inpatient rehabilitation may experience participation challenges and poorer functional outcomes than those without impaired cognition. Differences in functional outcomes between stroke survivors with and without impaired cognition may be attributed to age, level of cognitive impairment, and severity of stroke. Materials and Methods: A retrospective secondary data analysis was conducted using health-related administrative data acquired from a Southwestern Ontario hospital’s stroke rehabilitation database. The aim was to explore potential linkages between post-stroke impaired cognition and functional gains, rehabilitation stays, and living settings after discharge from rehabilitation. Results: An aggregate sample of 393 males and 314 females subclassified as experiencing mild, moderate, and severe stroke was analyzed. At inpatient rehabilitation admission, 21.5% (n = 152) of these patients had no impaired cognition, 33.7% (n = 238) had mild impaired cognition, 22.2% (n = 157) had moderate impaired cognition, and 22.6% (n = 160) had severe impaired cognition. Cognitively impaired stroke patients were significantly (p 0.001) older, had (mostly) moderate to severe stroke with significantly (p = 0.012) more moderate cognitive impairment, had significantly (p 0.001) longer rehabilitation stays, and a high propensity for being discharged to longer-term care facilities compared to non-cognitively impaired patients. Conclusion: Presence of significant dissimilarity in rehabilitation stays and post-discharge destinations among stroke survivors with and without cognitive impairment is attributed to the age of the patient, level of cognitive impairment, and rigorous rehabilitation interventions.

Promoting Ethical Sensitivity in nursing Education:A Systematic Review of Case Study-Based Health Education

Introduction: nursing ethical sensitivity refers to a nurse’s capacity for thoughtful consideration of ethical issues when faced with dilemmas. In the nursing domain, ethical dilemmas arise when nurses face challenges in making sound ethical decisions during clinical practice. These challenges may stem from conflicts between personal values and professional responsibilities. Methodology: Articles downloaded from Pub Med, CNKI, and Google Scholar were reviewed. Results: After rigorous screening, a meticulous analysis was conducted, encompassing 10 articles and involving a substantial cohort of 2863 participants. Existing literature revealed variations in the ethical dilemmas faced by nurses across different departments. The ethical sensitivity of nurses also varies, with higher ethical sensitivity correlating with stronger empathetic abilities. Zhen et al. classified the causes of ethical dilemmas into four main categories: (1) Ethical dilemmas arising from personal reasons of nursing students;(2) Ethical dilemmas stemming from the actions of teachers;(3) Ethical dilemmas triggered by patients;(4) Ethical dilemmas resulting from miscellaneous reasons. Conclusion: According to literature findings, nursing ethical sensitivity was positively linked to the nurse’s ethical decision-making ability. A case study-oriented teaching program has proven effective in enhancing ethical sensitivity among nursing students.

A Survey of Digital Content Required for STD Prevention Education Taught by School Nurses

Purpose: In recent years, there has been concern in Japan about the increase in STDs among adolescents aged 15 - 19. In order to prevent STDs and guide adolescents toward desirable sexual behavior, this study’s goal was to examine the actual state of STD prevention education taught by school nurses as part of the school curriculum, as well as the kinds of digital content they wish to have for teaching on the subject. Method: An anonymous, self-administered questionnaire was distributed by email and leaflet. Targeting the 100 valid responses received from the surveyed school nurses, descriptive statistics were made for each survey item and comparisons were made between the early- and mid-career groups based on years of experience. Results: 70.0% of respondents reported teaching about STDs in Health & Physical Education classes. School nurses in the early-career group used ready-made materials, while the mid-career group used both ready-made and self-made materials. 95% of respondents reported that they had little or no knowledge of STDs, while 84% reported that they were “good” or “fairly good” at teaching classes on sexuality. Both groups reported difficulty with the topics of “phimosis” and “nocturnal emissions” in the physiological category, “sexual behavior” in the “sex-adjacent” category, and “sexual and reproductive issues” in the psychosocial category. Respondents expressed a need for digital content covering the topics of “sexual violence”, “sexual abuse”, “sexually transmitted diseases”, and “how to turn down sex”. The mid-career group desired digital content for more items than the early-career group, with significant differences in the pathogens involved in sexually transmitted diseases and sex-adjacent items. 32.0% of respondents answered that they had done self-study for sex education classes in the past three years, and both groups desired self-study on “sexually transmitted diseases”, with the mid-career group significantly higher than the early-career group on “cervical cancer & HPV”, “emergency co

In the evolving landscape of cardiac rehabilitation(CR),adopting digital technologies,including synchronous/real-time digital interventions and smart applications,has emerged as a transformative approach.These technologies offer realtime health data access,continuous vital sign monitoring,and personalized educational enhanced patient self-management and engagement.Despite their potential benefits,challenges and limitations exist,necessitating careful consideration.Synchronous/real-time digital CR involves remote,two-way audiovisual communication,addressing issues of accessibility and promoting home-based interventions.Smart applications extend beyond traditional healthcare,providing real-time health data and fostering patient empowerment.Wearable devices and mobile apps enable continuous monitoring,tracking of rehabilitation outcomes,and facilitate lifestyle modifications crucial for cardiac health maintenance.As digital CR progresses,ensuring patient access,equitable implementation,and addressing the digital divide becomes paramount.Artificial intelligence holds promise in the early detection of cardiac events and tailoring patient-specific CR programs.However,challenges such as digital literacy,data privacy,and security must be addressed to ensure inclusive implementation.Moreover,the shift toward digital CR raises concerns about cost,safety,and potential depersonalization of therapeutic relationships.A transformative shift towards technologically enabled CR necessitates further research,focusing not only on technological advancements but also on customization to meet diverse patient needs.Overcoming challenges related to cost,safety,data security,and potential depersonalization is crucial for the widespread adoption of digital CR.Future studies should explore integrating moral values into digital therapeutic relationships and ensure that digital CR is accessible,equitable,and seamlessly integrated into routine cardiac care.Theoretical frameworks that accommodate the dynamic quality of real-time monitoring and

目的综合现有知识,识别肝细胞癌(hepatocellular carcinoma,HCC)患者的症状和症状群,以及相关评估工具,以最大限度地改善症状管理。方法采用Whittemore和Knafl提出的整合性综述方法框架,在PubMed..ScienceDirect、Scopus、CINAHL和ThaiJO等数据库中对文献进行系统检索。检索文献发表时间限定为2005年一2022年,仅纳人经过同行评审及有英文摘要的文献。由2名研究员独立进行文献的筛选、提取和分析。结果共纳入14篇文献。分为3个主题:HCC患者的症状.症状评估和症状群。疲劳、乏力、胃痛或腹痛/腹胀、食欲不振、味觉改变、睡眠障碍、苦恼和悲伤是HCC患者最常见的症状。患者症状与肿瘤分期和治疗方法有关。常用的症状评估工具包括5种类型:HCC特异性症状评估癌症一般症状评估、非症状构念测量、特定症状(如疲劳、睡眠障碍、焦虑和抑郁)测量及结合临床检查的症状评估等5种。HCC患者的症状群分为5类:疼痛相关症状、胃肠道症状、神经心理症状和感觉症状.肝功能异常相关症状及其他。结论该综述对HCC患者症状、症状评估和症状群相关知识进行了综合。尽管目前有多种评估工具,但没有一种能涵盖HCC患者的所有症状。建议今后的研究纳入更大的同质化的样本,以便更准确地评估测量工具的效能,避免在将症状分类为症状群时出现歧义,提高症状管理的有效性。
