In this paper the authors consider the bundle of affinor frames over a smooth manifold,define the Sasaki metric on this bundle,and investigate the Levi-Civita connection of Sasaki metric.Also the authors determine the horizontal lifts of symmetric linear connection from a manifold to the bundle of affinor frames and study the geodesic curves corresponding to the horizontal lift of the linear connection.

The postbuckling of the eccentrically stiffened circular cylindrical shells made of functionally graded materials （FGMs）, subjected to the axial compressive load and external uniform pressure and filled inside by the elastic foundations in the thermal environments, is investigated with an analytical method. The shells are reinforced by FGM stringers and rings. The thermal elements of the shells and stiffeners in the fundamental equations are considered. The equilibrium and nonlinear stability equations in terms of the displacement components for the stiffened shells are derived with the third-order shear deformation theory and Leckhniskii smeared stiffener technique. The closed-form expressions for determining the buckling load and postbuckling load-deflection curves are obtained with the Galerkin method. The effects of the stiffeners, the foundations, the material and dimensional parameters, and the pre-existent axial compressive and thermal load are considered.

Let p> 2 be a given exponent.In this paper,we prove,with the best constant,the weak-type(p,p)inequality‖Tmf‖_((Lp,∞)(Rd))≤Cp‖f‖_((Lp)(Rd))for a large class of non-symmetric Fourier multipliers Tmobtained via modulation of jumps of certain Lévy processes.In particular,the estimate holds for appropriate linear combinations of second-order Riesz transforms and skew versions of the Beurling-Ahlfors operator on the complex plane.The proof rests on a novel probabilistic bound for Hilbert-space-valued martingales satisfying a certain non-symmetric subordination principle.Further applications to harmonic functions and Riesz systems on Euclidean domains are indicated.

Fokas system is the simplest(2+1)-dimensional extension of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation(Eq.(2),Inverse Problems 10(1994) L19-L22).By using the bilinear transformation method,general rational solutions for the Fokas system are given explicitly in terms of two order-N determinants T_n(n = 0,1) whose elements m_(i,j)^(n)(n = 0,1;1≤i,j≤N)are involved with order-n_i and order-n_j derivatives.When N = 1,three kinds of rational solution,i.e.,fundamental lump and fundamental rogue wave(RW) with n_1 = 1,and higher-order rational solution with n_1 > 2,are illustrated by explicit formulas from T_n(n = 0,1) and pictures.The fundamental RW is a line RW possessing a line profile on(x,y)-plane,which arises from a constant background with at t > 0.The fundamental lump is a traveling wave,which can preserve its profile during the propagation on(x,y)-plane.When N ≥2 and n_1 =n_2=...=n_n = 1,several specific multi-rational solutions are given graphically.

The purpose of this article is to extend some spectral properties of regular Sturm- Liouville problems to the special type discontinuous boundary-value problem, which consists of a Sturm-Liouville equation together with eigenparameter-dependent boundary conditions and two supplementary transmission conditions. We construct the resolvent operator and Green＇s function and prove theorems about expansions in terms of eigenfunctions in modified Hilbert space L2[a, b].

In this paper, the MHD peristaltic flow inside wavy walls of an asymmetric channel is investigated, where the walls of the channel are moving with peristaltic wave velocity along the channel length. During this investigation,the electrical conductivity both in Lorentz force and Joule heating is taken to be temperature dependent. Also, the long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions are utilized to reduce the governing partial differential equations into a set of coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The new set of obtained equations is then numerically solved using the generalized differential quadrature method(GDQM). This is the first attempt to solve the nonlinear equations arising in the peristaltic flows using this method in combination with the Newton-Raphson technique. Moreover, in order to check the accuracy of the proposed numerical method, our results are compared with the results of built-in Mathematica command NDSolve. Taking Joule heating and viscous dissipation into account, the effects of various parameters appearing in the problem are used to discuss the fluid flow characteristics and heat transfer in the electrically conducting fluids graphically. In presence of variable electrical conductivity, velocity and temperature profiles are highly decreasing in nature when the intensity of the electrical conductivity parameter is strengthened.
