Impervious surfaces are the most significant feature of human settlements. Timely, accurate, and frequent information on impervious surfaces is critical in both social-economic and natural environment applications. Over the past 40 years, impervious surface areas in China have grown rapidly. However,annual maps of impervious areas in China with high spatial details do not exist during this period. In this paper, we made use of reliable impervious surface mapping algorithms that we published before and the Google Earth Engine(GEE) platform to address this data gap. With available data in GEE, we were able to map impervious surfaces over the entire country circa 1978, and during 1985–2017 at an annual frequency. The 1978 data were at 60-m resolution, while the 1985–2017 data were in 30-m resolution.For the 30-m resolution data, we evaluated the accuracies for 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, and2015. Overall accuracies reached more than 90%. Our results indicate that the growth of impervious surface in China was not only fast but also considerably exceeding the per capita impervious surface area in developed countries like Japan. The 40-year continuous and consistent impervious surface distribution data in China would generate widespread interests in the research and policy-making community. Influenza viruses not only cause respiratory illness,but also have been reported to elicit neurological manifestations following acute viral infection.The central nervous system(CNS)has a specific defense mechanism against pathogens structured by cerebral microvasculature lined with brain endothelial cells to form the blood–brain barrier(BBB).To investigate the response of human brain microvascular endothelial cells(hBMECs)to the Influenza A virus(IAV),we inoculated the cells with the A/WSN/33(H1N1)virus.We then conducted an RNAseq experiment to determine the changes in gene expression levels and the activated disease pathways following infection.The analysis revealed an effective activation of the innate immune defense by inducing the pattern recognition receptors(PRRs).Along with the production of proinflammatory cytokines,we detected an upregulation of interferons and interferon-stimulated genes,such as IFN-β/λ,ISG15,CXCL11,CXCL3 and IL-6,etc.Moreover,infected hBMECs exhibited a disruption in the cytoskeletal structure both on the transcriptomic and cytological levels.The RNAseq analysis showed different pathways and candidate genes associated with the neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction,neuroinflammation,and neurodegenerative diseases,together with a predicted activation of the neuroglia.Likewise,some genes linked with the mitochondrial structure and function displayed a significantly altered expression.En masse,this data supports that hBMECs could be infected by the IAV,which induces the innate and inflammatory immune response.The results suggest that the influenza virus infection could potentially induce a subsequent aggravation of neurological disorders.

Ethanol is widely known for its ability to cause dramatic changes in emotion, social cognition, and behavior following systemic administration in humans.human neuroimaging studies suggest that alcohol dependence and chronic pain may share common mechanisms through amygdala-medial prefrontal cortex（m PFC） interactions. However, whether acute administration of ethanol in the m PFC can modulate pain perception is unknown.Here we showed that bilateral microinjections of ethanol into the prelimbic and infralimbic areas of the m PFC lowered the bilateral mechanical pain threshold for 48 h without influencing thermal pain sensitivity in adult rats.However, bilateral microinjections of artificial cerebrospinal fluid into the m PFC or bilateral microinjections of ethanol into the dorsolateral PFC（also termed as motor cortex area 1 in Paxinos and Watson＇s atlas of The Rat Brain. Elsevier Academic Press, Amsterdam, 2005） failed to do so, suggesting regional selectivity of the effects of ethanol. Moreover, bilateral microinjections of ethanol didnot change the expression of either pro-apoptotic（caspase-3 and Bax） or anti-apoptotic（Bcl-2） proteins, suggesting that the dose was safe and validating the method used in the current study. To determine whether c-aminobutyric acid A（GABA_A） receptors are involved in mediating the ethanol effects, muscimol, a selective GABA_Areceptor agonist, or bicuculline, a selective GABA_A receptor antagonist, was administered alone or co-administered with ethanol through the same route into the bilateral m PFC. The results showed that muscimol mimicked the effects of ethanol while bicuculline completely reversed the effects of ethanol and muscimol. In conclusion, ethanol increases mechanical pain sensitivity through activation of GABA_A receptors in the m PFC of rats.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is the causative agent of the pandemic coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),which threatens human health and public safety.In the urgent campaign to develop anti-S ARS-CoV-2 therapies,the initial entry step is one of the most appealing targets.In this review,we summarize the current understanding of SARS-CoV-2 cell entry,and the development of targeted antiviral strategies.Moreover,we speculate upon future directions toward nextgeneration of SARS-CoV-2 entry inhibitors during the upcoming post-pandemic era.

Objective In this study, a zebrafish animal model was used to evaluate the relationship between t he gabrb2 m RNA expression and its promoter DNA methylation in developmental and MET-induc ed schizophrenia-like zebrafish, in order to better understand the plausible epigenetic mechanism of GABAergic system underlying schizophrenia pathogenesis. Method Methylation dynamic pattern during zebrafish development was assayed with HpaⅡ/Ms pⅠ enzyme digestion followed by Fluorescence polarization based measurement of DNA methyl ation(FPDM) method for global genome, and quantitative real-time PCR(q PCR) method for gabr b2 specific promoter regions.gabrb2 m RNA expression pattern during zebrafish development was assayed with q PCR method after total RNA reverse transcript into total c DNA.gabrb2 m RNA distr ibution during zebrafish central nervous system(CNS) development was assayed with Whole-mo unt in-situ hybridization(WISH).Three Behavioral tests performed,with 30 minutes pre-acclimation in the testing room. Novel tank test was for general mental status and locomotor activity measure ment. social interaction test was for social preference judgment. T-maze tank test was for cogniti ve ability assay.After MET exposure, methylation changes of global genome was detected by FP DM and specific promoter regions of gabrb2, gad1 b, gad2 and slc6 a1 b was detected by q PCR. Result The results indicated developmental increases in global DNA methylation and decreases i n gabrb2 promoter methylation in zebrafish. A significant increase in gabrb2 m RNA levels was ob served after GABA was synthesized. Additionally, the MET-triggered schizophrenia-like symptom s in adult zebrafish, involving social withdrawal and cognitive dysfunction analyzed with social inte raction and T-maze behavioral tests, were accompanied by significantly increased DNA methylati on levels in the global genome and the gabrb2 promoter. 目的了解我国2004—2010年艾滋病母婴传播及母婴阻断药物应用状况。方法全面检索中国生物医学文献数据库（CBM）和PubMed等中英文数据库中中国艾滋病母婴传播相关文献,检索时间均从建库到2013年5月。对纳入的文献采用参照AHRQ横断面研究评价标准和STROBE声明拟定的4条标准进行质量评价。将样本量、监测地点和监测年份作为主要异质性来源进行meta回归分析。采用Comprehensive Meta-Analysis V2.0software进行meta分析。结果共检索到2 356篇文献,最终纳入51篇进行分析。2004—2010年我国艾滋病母婴传播率依次分别为12.90%（95%CI：7.48%-21.36%）、16.35%（95%CI：10.41%-24.73%）、6.45%（95%CI：3.73%-10.93%）、6.25%（95%CI：2.39%-15.36%）、5.56%（95%CI：2.79%-10.76%）、3.10%（95%CI：1.59%-5.97%）、2.29%（95%CI：1.36%-3.83%）,孕产妇中阻断药物应用率依次分别为70.39%（95%CI：24.42%-94.59%）、71.99%（95%CI：61.49%-80.54%）、78.79%（95%CI：70.19%-85.43%）、86.84%（95%CI：79.24%-91.94%）、82.71%（95%CI：76.62%-87.48%）、81.85%（95%CI：75.55%-86.80%）、86.16%（95%CI：53.20%-97.15%）;2005—2010年婴儿阻断药物应用率依次分别为80.72%（95%CI：72.89%-86.70%）、81.84%（95%CI：71.55%-88.98%）、85.43%（95%CI：80.99%-88.97%）、89.75%（95%CI：81.82%-94.45%）、92.39%（95%CI：84.97%-96.31%）、90.34%（95%CI：85.50%-93.68%）。结论近年来我国艾滋病母婴传播率呈下降趋势,孕产妇及婴儿阻断药物应用率都有所升高。

Targeted poverty alleviation is a unique approach adopted in China to help achieve the vision of a moderately prosperous society in all aspects and the"Chinese Dream".Industrial development as a means of poverty alleviation is an integral part of the"Five-pronged Poverty Alleviation Measures"Project of targeted poverty alleviation,and a critical foundation for other poverty alleviation measures.In this study,a comprehensive evaluation method was used to measure farmers'livelihood based on the framework of sustainable livelihood.Specifically,the effects of industrial development on farmers'livelihood capital were estimated by employing the propensity score matching combined with the difference-in-differences(PSM-DID)approach.Findings suggest that industrial development had a significantly positive effect on the livelihood capital of farmers.Industrial development can significantly enhance farmers'human,social and financial capital,while it cannot significantly affect the natural and physical capital.Industrial development had heterogeneous effects on farmers'livelihood capital,more efficiently impacting on the non-poor than the poor.The effects on farmers'livelihood capital varied across regions,with Guizhou experiencing a larger effect than Sichuan.However,the effect was insignificant for farmers in Gansu.To improve farmers'livelihood capital,it is necessary to take measures to strengthen their human capital,promote the innovation of financial products,and make good use of their social capital;it is also essential to strengthen the support of industrial development to the poor.
