Objective：The aim of this study was to evaluate the concentrations of C-reactive protein （CRP）, tumor necrosis factor-α （TNF-α）, interleukin-6 （IL-6）, and the degree of homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance （HOMA-IR） in patients with morbid obesity exposed to a three-week low-calorie diet and balneotherapy. Methods：The study included 33 patients （25 females and 8 males; mean age 46 years） with body mass index （BMI） values of〉40 kg/m2. Evaluations of CRP, IL-6, TNF-α, lipid profile, HOMA-IR, and fasting glucose were carried out before （baseline data） and three weeks after the treatment. The control group consisted of 20 healthy volunteers （15 females and 5 males） with a mean age of 39 years and BMI values of≤24.9 kg/m2. Results：In the blood of patients with morbid obesity we found significantly elevated levels of CRP, TNF-α, triglycerides, HOMA-IR and fasting glucose, but a de-creased level of high density lipoprotein （HDL）-cholesterol, compared with the healthy individuals. The treatment resulted in about a 9.4%reduction in body weight from 122.5 to 111.0 kg and a significant decrease in the concen-tration of CRP, but no change in TNF-αor IL-6. HOMA-IR was significantly reduced. Conclusions：The decrease in CRP level without changes in TNF-α or IL-6 concentrations after the low-calorie diet and balneological treatment, suggests that an essential amount of adipose tissue must be removed before proper adipocyte function is restored. The decrease in HOMA-IR indicates an improvement in insulin sensitivity, which is beneficial in obese patients.

In order to overcome the disadvantages of the quantum genetic algorithm of premature and slow convergence, this paper propose a catastrophic real-coded chaotic quantum-inspired genetic algorithm, based on the continuous learning and accumulation of quantum genetic algorithm. Specific methods are adding convulsions, meanwhile, producing chaotic sequence with the Chebyshev mapping model, changing the crossover and mutation of the ratio of individual selection. The new algorithm overcomes early maturity, enhances optimization ability. The simulation results show that the algorithm has better effectiveness and rapid convergence.

To improve the surface performance of TB2 alloy,pack boriding was performed at 1100℃ for 20 h with 4 wt.%La_(2)O_(3).The composition and thickness of boride layer and corrosion and wear properties of borided TB2 alloy were *** results show that La_(2)O_(3) can promote the growth,continuity,and compactness of boride layer,and the length of TiB whisker increases from 16.80 to 21.84μ*** reason is that La_(2)O_(3) can react with B to form La−B active groups and further to improve the growth of the boride *** wear and corrosion resistances of TB2 alloy are enhanced by boriding with La_(2)O_(3).The wear mechanisms are adhesive wear and abrasive wear for unborided and borided TB2 alloys,respectively,and the corrosion mechanism is changed from local corrosion(unborided TB2 alloy)to uniform corrosion(borided TB2 alloy).

A wireless sensor network （WSN） commonly whilst a body sensor network （BSN） must be secured with requires lower level security for public information gathering, strong authenticity to protect personal health information. In this paper, some practical problems with the message authentication codes （MACs）, which were proposed in the popular security architectures for WSNs, are reconsidered. The analysis shows that the recommended MACs for WSNs, e.g., CBC- MAC （TinySec）, OCB-MAC （MiniSec）, and XCBC-MAC （SenSee）, might not be exactly suitable for BSNs. Particularly an existential forgery attack is elaborated on XCBC-MAC. Considering the hardware limitations of BSNs, we propose a new family of tunable lightweight MAC based on the PRESENT block cipher. The first scheme, which is named TukP, is a new lightweight MAC with 64-bit output range. The second scheme, which is named TuLP-128, is a 128-bit variant which provides a higher resistance against internal collisions. Compared with the existing schemes, our lightweight MACs are both time and resource efficient on hardware-constrained devices.

A novel diarylheptanoid, named Jugcathanin（1）, along with two known diarylheptanoids（2,3）, were isolated from the fresh pericarps ofduglans Cathayensis Dode. A known triterpene（4） and a known aphthaoquinone（5） were also isolated from the plant. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic studies. All the compounds exhibited moderate cytotoxicities against human Hela, HepG2, and HL-60 cell lines.

Jute/epoxy hybrid laminated biocomposites were manufactured by using Illite clay particles at various content （5 wt.% - 20 wt.%）. The effects of hybridization on the morphology, structure, and mechanical properties were investigated. The properties of the biocomposites reinforced with jute fibers were mainly influenced by the interfacial adhesion between the jute fibers and the epoxy matrix. An alkali treatment was applied to improve the interfacial fiber-matrix adhesion and thus obtaining better mechanical properties. Besides the chemical treatment, epoxy hybridization using clay particles also had a strong effect on the overall properties of laminated biocomposites. The mechanical properties of the jute/epoxy biocomposites reinforced with Illite clay increased with clay content, up to an optimum value at 15 wt.%. The average technique and the laminates theory were performed to validate the coherence of the elastic moduli between the calculated and experimental values. A difference between the experimental and predicted data was observed, which was attributed to the simplifying assumptions made in both models. The laminates theory gave better overall predictions.
