Generation of large strains upon Na^(+) intercalation is one of the prime concerns of the mechanical degradation of Prussian blue(PB)and its *** construction from the atomic level is imperative to maintain structural stability and ameliorate the long-term stability of ***,an inter nickel hexacyanoferrate(NNiFCN)is successfully introduced at the out layer of iron hexacyanoferrate(NFFCN)through ion exchange to improve structural stability through compressive stress locking by forming NNiFCN ***,the kinetics of sodium ion diffusion is enhanced through the built-in electric *** electrochemical performance is therefore significantly improved with a remarkable long-term cycling stability over 3,000 cycles at 500 mA·g^(–1) in the full sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)with a maximum energy density of 91.94 Wh·g^(–1),indicating that the core-shell structured NNiFCN/NFFCN could be the low-cost and high-performance cathode for full SIBs in large-scale EES applications.

Operando FT-IR study on basicity improvement of Ni(Mg, al)O hydrotalcite-derived catalysts promoted by glow plasma discharge

CO2adsorption on the surface of hydrotalcite-derived mixed oxide catalysts was investigated under low pressure glow discharge plasma in operando conditions via FT-IR *** catalysts were promoted with various transition metal species(Ce, Fe, La, Zr) to influence their physico-chemical *** and Zr species were successfully incorporated into hydrotalcite brucite *** calcination formed a single phase with Ni(Mg, al)O mixed oxide, while La and Ce species formed separate *** had a consequence in the distribution of surface basic sites as well as in the affinity to CO produced upon CO2dissociation in *** treatment activated the surface of prepared materials and changed their properties via the generation of strong basic sites associated with low coordinated surface oxygen ***, the CO2adsorption capacity of prepared materials increased after plasma treatment.

Development of solid-state electrolytes for sodium-ion battery–A short review

all-solid-state sodium-ion battery is regarded as the next generation battery to replace the current commercial lithium-ion battery, with the advantages of abundant sodium resources, low price and high-level safety. As one critical component in sodium-ion battery, solid-state electrolyte should possess superior operational safety and design simplicity, yet reasonable high room-temperature ionic conductivity. This paper gives a comprehensive review on the recent progress in solid-state electrolyte materials for sodium-ion battery, including inorganic ceramic/glass-ceramic, organic polymer and ceramic-polymer composite electrolytes, and also provides a comparison of the ionic conductivity in various solid-state electrolyte materials. The development of solid-state electrolytes suggests a bright future direction: all solid-state sodium-ion battery could be fully used to power all electric road vehicles, portable electronic devices and large-scale grid support.

Waste Cooking Oil as a Substrate for Biodiesel Production

The effectiveness of adsorptive treatment of waste cooking oils was assessed in terms of suitability for biodiesel production. New technologies involving standard diesel engines have been developed using biofuel products from vegetable oils and waste animal fats based on environmental and economic considerations. The potential application of used rapeseed oil after treatment with a mixture of active carbon （AR） and magnesium silicate （MG） as energy source was studied. The results were compared with substrates standard in the Vogel＆Noot GmbH technology for the transesterification of oils and fats.

Investigations of physicochemical properties of dusts generated in mechanical reclamation process of spent moulding sands with alkaline resins

Mechanical reclamation processes of spent moulding sands generate large amounts of postreclamation dusts mainly containing rubbed spent binding agents and quartz dusts. The amount of postreclamation dusts, depending in the reclamation system effi ciency and the reclaim dedusting system, can reach 5%-10% in relation to the total reclaimed spent moulding sand. The proper utilization of such material is a big problem facing foundries these days. This study presents the results of investigations of physicochemical properties of post- reclamation dusts. all tested dusts originated from various Polish cast steel plants applying the mechanical reclamation process of moulding sands with alkaline resins, obtained from different producers. Different dusts, delivered from foundries, were tested to determine their chemical composition, granular characterization, physicochemical and energetic properties. Presented results confi rmed assumptions that it is possible to utilize dusts generated during mechanical reclamation of used sands with organic resins as a source of energy.

In recent years many studies of temporal and spatial patterns of seismicity induced by mining works provided the evidence for interrelations of seismic *** accompanying mining exploitation is controlled by various time-variable natural and anthropogenic *** consequence of that the origin of event dependences is complex and difficult to *** of the possible causes of interactions among seismic events could be a static stress *** examples from natural seismicity show that even small stress changes resulting from the coseismic slip can accelerate or prevent future earthquake *** case of the mining-induced seismicity however,the coseismic stress changes expressed in terms of the Coulomb failure function(CFF) are at least one order smaller than those for ***,they are only a small component of the stress field variations in ***, the analysis of the Coulomb stress changes caused by mining induced seismic events of energy greater than 10J (M≥2.0),which occurred in Rudna Mine in Legnica-Glogow Copper District in Poland suggests that the mining events are capable of producing changes in the state of stress that are sufficient to influence subsequent *** find that about 70 per-cent of the analyzed seismic events occurred in areas where stress was enhanced due to the occurrence of previous *** most of the events located inside areas of a calculated negative CFF changes,their modeled rupture zone is partially located inside stress enhanced,providing thus additional evidence for possible triggering at the nucleation point. although stress changes alone cannot explain the time evolution of seismicity,they can be incorporated in modeling the future expected seismic activity rate,which is one of the input parameters to the seismic hazard assessment.

Experimental Study on Impingement Processes of Fuel Sprays on Biomimetic Structured Surfaces

To improve the controllability of the wall-wetting process after the fuel spray-wall impingement in internal combustion engines,the methods of laser etching,chemical etching and surface free energy modification are used to prepare biomimetic structured surfaces with different *** impingement processes of diesel and n-butanol sprays on the walls under different conditions are experimentally *** the surface oleophilicity increases,the spreading radius of wall-impinging sprays *** about 5 s after the fuel injections,the fuel spray droplets hit the walls for the first time,and the secondary breakup and rebound *** mixture concentrations of different fuels hitting the various walls reach the peak *** a higher surface temperature,the peak value of the mixture concentration is mainly related to the heat flux to the fuel droplets in different boiling regimes from the metal *** concentration of the air–fuel mixture in the near wall region increases with increasing surface oleophilicity,increasing wall temperature and decreasing ambient *** with diesel,n-butanol presents a higher air–fuel mixture concentration in the near wall region.

The life cycle phase of fossil fuel extraction is mainly considered in the life cycle assessment(LCA)when evaluating the energy production *** is then only one of many unit processes,which contribute to the blurring of mining-relevant *** are few items in the literature focusing exclusively on the lignite mining phase and analysing the specific mining conditions and associated environmental *** article focuses on the LCA of lignite mining processes on the basis of data coming from a Polish *** technology for opencast lignite mining is noted for its high production efficiency,high level of recovery and lower risk as regards the safety of workers when compared with underground mining ***,the need to remove large amounts of overburden to uncover the deposit contributes to a much greater degradation of the *** the results obtained,several key(hot spot)elements of the lignite mining operations were distinguished for modelling the environmental impact,i.e.:calorific value,the amount of electricity consumption,the manner in which waste and overburden are *** a result there is a high sensitivity of the final indicator to changes in these impacts.
