This study presents the first record of Early Permian alatoconchid bivalves from Thailand,theErawan section,in the north of Loei fold belt with prolific fusulines in association with gastropods,and *** taxa are dominated by Pseudofusulina *** Darvasites sp.,Staffella ***,Staffella sp.,Nankinella sp.,Neofusulinella sp.,Schubertella sp.,Pamirina darvasica,Pseudoendothyra *** others,indicating an Artinskian *** wackestone with common,well-preserved smaller foraminifers,Pseudovermiporella *** ostracods indicates a restricted lagoon environment with low to moderate water *** fossils,along with well-preserved,articulated alatoconchids in life-position,suggest the autochthonous nature of the deposits in an intertidal *** the central part of the fold belt,the Pak Chong section exhibits intervals of alatoconchid biostromes *** build-ups of the alatoconchid biostromes with gregarious bivalves,in life-positionembedded in a micritic wackestone matrix,suggest their preferred life habit and *** bivalvecoquinites containing packed bivalve shells and fragments,however,indicate a high-energy *** rockfabric along with common fusuline storm sheets suggests occasional storm events in a restricted,with moderate water circulation to open lagoon *** are predominated by staffellids and othersincluding Staffella sphaerica,Staffella sp.,Sphaerulina croatica,Pisolina subsphaerica,Nankinella sp.,Neoschwagerina simplex,Presumatrina sp.,Afghanella *** others,indicating a Wordian(Middle Permian)*** the southern portion of the fold belt along the Thai-Cambodian border,the Khao Taa Ngog sectioncontains limestone with alatoconchid shells with massive rugose corals which formed local carbonate build-upsin high-energy open platform ***-sorted bioclasts with common fusuline tests,shell fragments and coated grains suggest an open marine,lagoon,back reef

The sessile drop method was applied to the experimental investigation of the wetting and spreading behaviors of liquid Mg drops on pure Ni *** comparison,the experiments were performed in two variants:(1)using the Capillary Purification(CP)procedure,which allows the non-contact heating and squeezing of a pure oxide-free Mg drop;(2)by classical Contact Heating(CH)*** high-temperature tests were performed under isothermal conditions(CP:760℃for 30 s;CH:715℃for 300 s)using Ar+5 wt%H_(2) *** the sessile drop tests,images of the Mg/Ni couples were recorded by CCD cameras(57 fps),which were then applied to calculate the contact angles of metal/substrate *** and transmission electron microscopy analyses,both coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,were used for detailed structural characterization of the solidified *** was found that an oxide-free Mg drop obtained by the CP procedure showed a wetting phenomenon on the Ni substrate(an average contact angleθal contact angle ofθ_(f(CP))~18°.In contrast,a different wetting behavior was observed for the CH procedure,where the unavoidable primary oxide film on the Mg surface blocked the spreading of liquid Mg showing apparently non-wetting behavior after 300 s contact at the test ***,in both cases,the deep craters formed in the Ni substrates under the Mg drops and significant change in the structure of initially pure Mg drops to Mg-Ni alloys suggest a strong dissolution of Ni in liquid Mg and apparent values of the final contact angles measured for the Mg/Ni system.

This paper summarises the results of experimental testing of carbon dioxide sorption on five coal samples. Sorption tests were done at the temperature 288, 298, 313 and 323 K, in the pressure range 0-5 MPa. The analysis of sorption isotherms and the effects of temperature on sorption capacity reveal that in the case of samples NR1, Pn, Tu, Be the temperature increase from 298 to 323 K led to 1.3-fold decrease of the sorption value. In the ease of coal Th the decrease of sorption capacity was 3-fold. It appears that the analysis of maceral content plays a major role. In the case of coals, porosity is associated with the petrographic composition. The values of the isosteric heat of sorption and the work of expansion and desorption were derived for the investigated sorption systems. Test data reveal that for hard coals the isosteric heat is inversely proportional to the ＂reserve＂ of volumetric work-a major parameter triggering the sudden release of gas from the coalbed, thus enabling us to assess the potential risk involved in rapid unsealing of the coalbed.

Under optimal process conditions,pyrolysis of polyolefins can yield ca.90 wt%of liquid product,i.e.,combination of light oil fraction and heavier *** this work,the experimental findings reported in a selected group of publications concerning the non-catalytic pyrolysis of polyolefins were collected,reviewed,and compared with the ones obtained in a continuously operated bench-scale pyrolysis *** process parameters were used for the pyrolysis of waste and virgin counterparts of high-density polyethylene,low-density polyethylene,polypropylene and a defined mixture of those(i.e.,25:25:50 wt%,respectively).To mitigate temperature drops and enhance heat transfer,an increased feed intake is employed to create a hot melt plastic *** 1.5 g·min^(-1) feed intake,1.1 L·min^(-1) nitrogen flow rate,and a moderate pyrolysis temperature of 450℃,the formation of light hydrocarbons was favored,while wax formation was limited for polypropylene-rich *** of virgin plastics yielded more liquid(maximum 73.3 wt%)than that of waste plastics(maximum 66 wt%).Blending polyethylenes with polypropylene favored the production of liquids and increased the formation of gasoline-range *** products were mainly composed of C3 hydrocarbons,and no hydrogen production was detected due to moderate pyrolysis temperature.

aluminum nitride(alN)polycrystals were prepared by pulse plasma sintering(PPS)*** starting alN powder mixtures were composed with 3.0 wt%,5.0 wt%and 10 wt%of yttrium oxide(Y_(2)O_(3)),*** density of each polycrystal was measured by hydrostatic method and evaluated higher than 97%.X-ray diffraction(XRD)method was used for phase examination of the samples after heat *** examination supported by computer-aided analysis was performed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy dispersive spectrometry(EDS).The results were correlated with thermal conductivity of the samples carried out by laser pulse method(LFA).The influence of the rapid sintering technique and yttrium oxide additive content on the thermal conductivity and microstructure appearance of alN polycrystals was clearly shown.

The estimation of the ground temperature profile with respect to the depth and time is the key issue in many engineering applications which use the ground as a source of thermal energy. In the present work, the influence of the model components on the calculated ground temperature distribution has been analysed in order to develop an accurate and robust model for the prediction of the ground temperature profile. The presented mathematical model takes into account all the key phenomena occurring in the soil and on its top surface. The impact of individual model elements on the temperature of the soil has been analysed. It has been found that the simplest models and the most complex model result in a similar temperature variation over the simulation period, but only at a low depth. A detailed analysis shows that a larger depth requires more complex models and the calculation with the use of simple models results in an incorrect temperature and a theoretical COP estimation.

We determine using a compound model the influence of the mass of granular matter on the behavior of a supercritical circulating fluidized bed （CFB） reactor. Population balance enables a stationary-regime modeling of the mass flow of granular matter inside a CFB unit in a large-scale. The simulation includes some important dynamic processes of gas-particle flows in fluidized bed such as attrition, fragmenta- tion, elutriation, and fuel combustion. Numerical calculations with full boiler loading were performed of operational parameters such as furnace temperature, furnace pressure, feeding materials mass flows, and excess air ratio. Furthermore, three bed inventory masses were adopted as experimental variables in the simulation model of mass balance. This approach enables a sensitivity study of mass flows of granular matter inside a CFB facility. Some computational results from this population balance model obtained for a supercritical CFB reactor are presented that show consistency with the operational data for large-scale CFB units.
