Classification and Summarization of Solar Irradiance and power Forecasting Methods:A Thorough Review

Solar forecasting is of great importance for ensuring safe and stable operations of the power system with increased solar power integration,thus numerous models have been presented and reviewed to predict solar irradiance and power forecasting in the past ***,few studies take into account the temporal and spatial resolutions along with specific characteristics of the ***,this paper aims to demonstrate a comprehensive and systematic review to further solve these ***,five classifications and seven pre-processing methods of solar forecasting data are systematically reviewed,which are significant in improving forecasting ***,various methods utilized in solar irradiance and power forecasting are thoroughly summarized and discussed,in which 128 algorithms are elaborated in tables in the light of input variables,temporal resolution,spatial resolution,forecast variables,metrics,and characteristics for a more fair and comprehensive ***,they are categorized into four groups,namely,statistical,physical,hybrid,and others with relevant application conditions and ***,six categories,along with 30 evaluation criteria,are summarized to clarify the major purposes/applicability of the different *** prominent merit of this study is that a total of seven perspectives and trends for further research in solar forecasting are identified,which aim to help readers more effectively utilize these approaches for future in-depth research.

Effect of heat flux and inlet temperature on the fouling characteristics of nanoparticles

In order to study the effect of heat flux and inlet temperature on the fouling characteristics of nanoparticles, and to further reveal the fouling mechanism for insights into proper operating conditions, γ-Al_2O_3/water suspensions were chosen as the subject of this research. The particulate fouling characteristics of γ-Al_2O_3/water suspensions on the surface of stainless steel have been experimentally studied by varying the heat flux and the inlet temperature under single-phase flow and subcooled-flow boiling conditions. The results show that in the condition of single-phase flow, the asymptotic value of fouling resistance decreases with increasing of heat flux and inlet temperature. The asymptotic value of fouling resistance under single-phase flow is much higher than for the subcooled-flow boiling condition. The effect of heat flux on the fouling resistance under the two flow states has an inverse relationship, and there exists a minimum value of fouling resistance between these two states. For subcooled-flow boiling, the asymptotic value of fouling resistance increases with increasing heat flux, whereas the effect on fouling resistance by the inlet temperature is negligible.

Copyright protection in digital museum based on digital holography and discrete wavelet transform

A new method to protect the copyright of digital museum based on digital holography is proposed. The Fresnel hologram of watermark image is embedded in the object to be protected through discrete wavelet transform （DWT）. After the watermark detection, the copyright information appears in the reconstructed hologram. With the higher redundancy feature in the hologram, the proposed technique can actually survive several kinds of image processing. Experimental results prove that the presented method has good robustness in image protection.

Long-term forecasting of annual peak load considering effects of demand-side programs

The main purpose of this research paper is to investigate the long-term effects of the proposed demandside program,and its impact on annual peak load forecasting important for strategic network *** program comprises a particular set of demand-side measures aimed at reducing the annual peak *** paper also presents the program simulations for the case study of the electricity Distribution Company of Belgrade(EDB).According to the methodology used,the first step is to determine the available controllable load of the distribution utility/area under *** controllable load is presumed constant over the analyzed time horizon,and the smart grid(SG)infrastructure *** saturation of positive effects during intense program application is also taken into *** and economic input data are taken from the real *** conducted calculations indicate that demand-side programs can bring about the same results as the energy storage in the grids with a strong impact of distributed generation from variable renewable sources(V-RES).In conclusion,the proposed demand-side program is a good alternative to building new power facilities,which can postpone investment costs for a considerable period of time.

Optimal PV array reconfiguration under partial shading condition through dynamic leader based collective intelligence

This paper applies the innovative idea of DLCI to PV array reconfiguration under various PSCs to capture the maxi-mum output power of a PV generation *** is a hybrid algorithm that integrates multiple meta-heuristic *** the competition and cooperation of the search mechanisms of different metaheuristic algorithms,the local exploration and global development of the algorithm can be effectively improved to avoid power mismatch of the PV system caused by the algorithm falling into a local optimum.A series of discrete operations are performed on DLCI to solve the discrete optimization problem of PV array *** structures(DLCI-I and DLCI-II)are designed to verify the effect of increasing the number of sub-optimizers on the optimized performance of DLCI by simulation based on 10 cases of *** simulation shows that the increase of the number of sub-optimizers only gives a relatively small improvement on the DLCI optimization *** has a significant effect on the reduction in the number of power peaks caused by *** PV array-based reconstruction system of DLCI-II is reduced by 4.05%,1.88%,1.68%,0.99%and 3.39%,when compared to the secondary optimization algorithms.

Constant-step stress accelerated life test of VFD under Weibull distribution case

Constant-step stress accelerated life test of Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) was conducted with increased cathode temperature. Statistical analysis was done by applying Weibull distribution for describing the life, and Least Square Method (LSM)for estimating Weibull parameters. Self-designed special software was used to predict the VFD life. Numerical results showed that the average life of VFD is over 30000 h, that the VFD life follows Weibull distribution, and that the life-stress relationship satisfies linear Arrhenius equation completely. Accurate calculation of the key parameter enabled rapid estimation of VFD life.

Effects of the insulated magnetic field and oblique incidence of electrons on the multipactor in MILO

The theoretical analysis and actual performance of the single-surface multipactor discharge model in the presence of a magnetic field are conducted through simulations. The effects of the magnitude of the insulated magnetic field and the oblique incidence of electrons on the multipactor are analysed. The results show that the multipactor susceptibility region shrinks gradually as the magnetic field increases when the electron cyclotron frequency is close to the RF frequency of the electric field. As a result, the evolution of the multipactor discharge will reach saturation earlier and become saturated at a higher level than the case when the magnetic field is absent, but the change of evolution and saturation as the insulated magnetic field increases is not obvious.

To improve the stability of a wind-diesel hybrid microgrid,a frequency control strategy is designed by using the hybrid energy storage system and the adjustable diesel generator with load frequency control(LFC).The objective of frequency control is to quickly respond to the disturbed system to reduce system frequency deviation and restore *** evaluating the area control error,the disturbance state of the system can be divided into four different areas by a corresponding control strategy for precise *** the diesel generator,an adaptive sliding mode(SM)algorithm is used to design LFC that can participate in frequency *** frequency coordination con-trol strategy proposed in this paper can realize the partition adjustment according to different resources,and ensure frequency *** proposed control strategy is verified by RTDS simulations in multiple scenarios.

Correlation between electronic structure and energy band in Eu-doped CuInTe_2 semiconductor compound with chalcopyrite structure

The Eu-doped Cu（In, Eu）Te2 semiconductors with chalcopyrite structures are promising materials for their applications in the absorption layer for thin-film solar cells due to their wider band-gaps and better optical properties than those of CuInTe2. In this paper, the Eu-doped CuInTe2 （CuIn1-xEuxTe2, x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3） are studied systemically based on the empirical electron theory （EET）. The studies cover crystal structures, bonding regularities, cohesive energies, energy levels, and valence electron structures. The theoretical values fit the experimental results very well. The physical mechanism of a broadened band-gap induced by Eu doping into CuInTe2 is the transitions between different hybridization energy levels induced by electron hopping between s and d orbitals and the transformations from the lattice electrons to valence electrons for Cu and In ions. The research results reveal that the photovoltaic effect induces the increase of lattice electrons of In and causes the electric resistivity to decrease. The Eu doping into CuInTe2 mainly influences the transition between different hybridization energy levels for Cu atoms, which shows that the 3d electron numbers of Cu atoms change before and after Eu doping. In single phase CuIn1-xEuxTe2, the number of valence electrons changes regularly with increasing Eu content, and the calculated band gap Eg also increases, which implies that the optical properties of Eu-doped CuIn1-xEuxTe2 are improved.

Adsorption of boron and its relationship with morphologies of TiC

First-principle calculations were performed to study the adsorption of boron and its relationship with the morphologies of Ti *** is found that although the adsorption of boron on all the low-index Ti C crystal planes is thermally favorable,it will be adsorbed more easily by C-terminated {111} and {011} planes,while less possible to be adsorbed by {001}.The study of the formation of B–B clusters indicates that the distribution of boron adatoms on C-terminated（111） and {011} planes will be more uniform,and the diffusion of the adatom further confirms the above *** to the geometry relationship and growth rate of different crystal planes,it is deduced that the adsorption of boron on Ti C will seriously impede the growth of {111} and {011} planes,which can make Ti C grow into hexagonal platelets.
