Fused deposition modeling （FDM） is one of the most popuIar additive manufacturing technologies for various engineering applications. FDM process has been introduced commercially in early 1990s by Stratasys Inc., USA. The quality of FDM processed parts mainly depends on careful selection of process variables. Thus, identifica- tion of the FDM process parameters that significantly affect the quality of FDM processed parts is important. In recent years, researchers have explored a number of ways to improve the mechanical properties and part quality using various experimental design techniques and concepts. This article aims to review the research carried out so far in determining and optimizing the process parameters of the FDM process. Several statistical designs of experiments and optimization techniques used for the determination of optimum process parameters have been examined. The trends for future FDM research in this area are described.

Identification of polyphenols in white mugwort (Artemisia lactiflora Wall.) ethanolic extracts and their anti-inflammatory and anti-adipogenic activity potential

White mugwort (Artemisia lactiflora Wall.) is known as a medicinal herb containing phytochemicals with antioxidant and *** optimal concentration of ethanol was investigated for extracting polyphenols from the fresh aerial part and dried powder of white mugwort as expressed by total phenolic content (TPC),phenolic compounds,antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,and anti-adipogenic *** various ethanol concentrations (0,25,50 or 95%) used in the extraction process,the freeze-dried extract from fresh aerial part (FE) extracted with 95% ethanol expressed the highest antioxidant activity (DPPH radical scavenging IC50 of 0.817 ± 0.06 μl/mg dry weight (DW) and FRAP value of 11.40 ± 0.86 mmol Fe(II)/g DW) and the highest TPC (61.46 ± 3.09 mgGAE/g DW).While,the freeze-dried extract from dried powder (PE) exhibited the prominent antioxidant properties (DPPH radical scavenging IC50 of 0.975 ± 0.03 μl/mg DW and FRAP value of 07.60 ± 0.22 mmol Fe(II)/g DW),TPC (48.11 ± 1.45 mgGAE/g DW) when extracted with 50% *** phenolic compounds—two phenolic acids (gallic acid and tannic acid) and five flavonoids (apigenin,isoquercetin,quercetin,rutin,and catechin) were identified in FE and PE using HPLC-DAD/*** inflammatory genes were down-regulated in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated THP-1 monocytes treated with PE,suggesting anti-inflammatory *** accumulation in 3T3-L1 adipocytes treated with FE at 60 μ gGAE/mL decreased to 12.8%,while the decrease of 36.8% was detected in ***,flavonoids were suggested to be responsible for the stronger bioactivity of PE over ***,this work originally revealed the investigation of the anti-inflammatory and anti-adipogenic activity of white mugwort on THP-1 and 3T3-L1 cells.

Protection of frying oil from deterioration by adding plant phenolic extracts to guarantee the quality of fried foods becomes the primary approach to promote the sustainable development of deep ***,sources,antioxidant effects,and mechanisms of plant phenolic extracts recently applied in the quality protection of frying oil as well as challenges for the actual use of these extracts are comprehensively reviewed in this ***,herbs,berries,tea leaves,and fruit and vegetable wastes are common sources for preparing phenolic extracts showing comparative antioxidant capacity referring to the synthetic *** general effect of using these natural antioxidants is the improvement of thermal stability to extend the shelf life of frying oil and thus the modification of edible quality of fried ***,the increases in common quality attributes and amount of hazardous products and the oxidative reduction of unsaturated triacylglycerols without negatively influencing the sensory quality are inhibited when suitable plant extracts are *** incorporation of plant phenolic extracts other than synthetic counterparts in frying oil has been demonstrated as a potential method to improve the frying performance of ***,challenges for the scale application of plant phenolic extracts,such as the purity,thermal stability,and antioxidant timing,are still needed to be further investigated.

Except for conventional mesoscale eddies,there are also abundant warm cyclonic eddies(WCEs)and cold anticyclonic eddies(CAEs)in the global *** on the global mesoscale eddy trajectory atlas product,satellite altimetric and remote sensing datasets,and three-dimensional temperature/salinity dataset,spatiotemporal features of WCEs and CAEs are compared with traditional cold cyclonic eddies and warm anticyclonic eddies in the Kuroshio Extension(KE;28°−43°N,140°−170°E)*** of abnormal eddies like radius,amplitude,eddy kinetic energy,and proportion in all eddies behave in significant asymmetry on the north and south sides of the KE *** eddies in the general sense,temporal feature analysis reveals that it is more favorable to the formation and maintenance of WCEs and CAEs in summer and autumn,while winter is the *** spatiotemporal variation of abnormal eddies is likely because the marine environment varying with time and ***,proportion of abnormal eddies increases rapidly in decaying stage during the whole eddy lifespan,resulting in smaller average radius,amplitude,sea surface temperature anomaly and sea surface height anomaly compared to normal *** three-dimensional composite structures for four types of eddies expose that the difference between abnormal and conventional eddies is not just limited to the sea surface,but also exists within the water below the sea *** structures also indicate that the anomalous temperature signal is confined in the water from the sea surface to layers at about 30 m in the KE region.

BACKGROUND Cerebrovascular accident(CVA)is a major global contributor to death and *** part of its medical management,researchers have recognized the importance of promising neuroprotective strategies,where stem cell transplantation(SCT)is thought to confer advantages via trophic and neuroprotective *** To evaluate the current state of research on SCT in patients with CVA,assess key trends and highlight literature *** PubMed was screened for SCT in CVA-related articles in October 2023,for each country during the period between 2000 and *** the World Bank data,total population and gross domestic product were collected for ***_1.6.19 was used to create the VOS figure using the results of the same *** and tables were obtained using Microsoft Office *** A total of 6923 studies were identified on SCT in CVA,making 0.03%of all published studies ***,68%were conducted in high-income countries,with a significant focus on mesenchymal stem *** journal“Stroke”featured the largest share of these articles,with mesenchymal SCT having the highest rate of inclusion,followed by hematopoietic *** time,there has been a noticeable shift from in vitro studies,which assess stem cell proliferation and neurogenesis,to in vivo studies aimed at evaluating efficacy and ***,the number of reviews increased along this *** This bibliometric analysis provides a comprehensive guide for physicians and researchers in the field through an objective overview of research activity,and highlights both current trends and *** a potential therapeutic role in CVA,more research is needed in the future to focus on different aspects of SCT,aiming to reach a better treatment strategy and improve life quality in patients.
