In view of the significant number of defective nanodevices in the Cmos/nanowire/MOLecular hybrid(CMOL)circuit,defect-tolerant mapping is an essential step to achieve correct logic operations in defective CMOL ***,less effort has been made to improve circuit delay by defect-tolerant *** this paper,the factors affecting the delay of mapped circuits are analyzed,and the path-tree based defect-tolerant mapping method for the delay optimization is *** the logic-domain,the terminology of the path tree is presented,and the logic circuit is first partitioned into multiple path ***,the mapping areas in the physic-domain are pre-planned for(near)critical path *** the mapping process,the specific mapping modes and an updating strategy are formulated to map the path trees:inputs are mapped based on input sorting;(near)critical path trees are mapped with priority,while the others are mapped in a hierarchical ***,an improved tabu search algorithm is employed to verify the validity of the proposed defect-tolerant mapping *** evaluations on the ISCAS benchmarks show that the proposed method can reduce circuit delay by 15.22%.

The main method of casting coal spontaneous combustion is prediction of index gases, with carbon monoxide(CO) commonly used as an index gas. However, coal spontaneous combustion is not the sole source of CO evolution; primal CO is generated through coalification, which can lead to forecasting mistakes. Through theoretical analysis, primal CO generation and emission from coal seams was *** this study, six coal samples were analyzed under six different experimental conditions. The results demonstrated the change in coal seam primal gas and concentration as functions of time, different coal samples, occurrence, various gas types and composition concentration, which are in agreement with the previous study on primal CO generation. Air charging impacts on primal gas emission. Analysis of the experimental data with SPSS demonstrates that the relationship between primal CO concentration and time shows a power exponent distribution.

Hydropower energy is one of most promising clean energy technologies, however this energy technology has many challenges. Compared with other renewable energies for example biomass, solar and wind energies, it has high capital investment cost. In Mozambique, access to conversional energy in form of electricity has been limited to most of the rural population. The objectives of the investigation research are to analyze Chua micro-hydropower plant exploration in Manica district in Mozambique and to examine the possibility of increasing energy production. The current total installed power generation capacity in Mozambique is about 939 MW. Hydropower contributes 561 MW, making a contribution of 61%. Oil contributes 27%, and natural gas contributes 12% of the total electric grid generation in Mozambique.

On May 12, 2008, an earthquake of 8.0 magnitude on the Richter scale and its numerous aftershocks devastatingly hit Wenchuan County and its nearby region along the Longman Mountains in Sichuan Province, China. The heavy ruined area was up to 30,000km2 and 13% of its land surface was denuded by the extremely terrible quakes. The mountain collapses, landslides and debris flows induced by the earthquake not only scared the landscape at the immense scale, but also poured L66-billion-m3 sediment combined with offscourings and rubble into the Yangtze River and its breaches. This amount of sediments is 3 times more than the normal amount discharged into the Yangtze River, and will significantly increase sediment transportation of rivers and decrease storage capacities of reservoirs downstream. The dramatic increase in sediment load will imperil the engineering safety and impact the operation of the giant Three-Gorge Hydro-power Station if no proper prevention measures are taken.

High-chromium white cast iron is a common material for the manufacture of the work rolls used in the fin- ishing stands in hot strip mills. The high temperature oxidation behaviour of as-cast and heat-treated high-chromium white cast iron was studied by gravimetric means at 650 ℃ in atmospheres that included dry air and a mixture of dry air and water vapour. For both environmental and material conditions, the oxidation rate of the alloys was represen ted by parabolic trends and the oxidation phenomenon was more obvious when the samples were oxidised in water vapour. water vapour also influenced the chemical composition of the oxides formed in the alloy and under this condi tion, the oxide scale formed on the alloy contained the oxides FeCr2O4 , （Fe,Cr）3O4 and （Fe,Cr）2 O3. In contrast, the alloys exposed to dry air conditions only experienced the formation of FeCr2O4 and （Fe,Cr）2O3. It was found that the presence of water vapour and the chromium content of the alloys increased the oxidation rate by a mechanism that involved chromium depletion of the oxide as a result of hydroxide formation. The differences observed in the oxi- dation behaviour of the alloy are discussed in terms of the composition of the oxidant atmosphere and the metallurgi cal condition of the specimens.

Soft and hard interbedded bedding rock slopes,which is prone to failure,are widely distributed in the Three Gorges Reservoir,*** equilibrium method(LEM)is commonly used to analyze the stability of bedding rock slopes that have a single failure ***,this method cannot accurately estimate the stability of soft and hard interbedded bedding reservoir slopes because the strength parameters of a soft and hard interbedded rock mass vary spatially along the bedding plane and deteriorate with time due to periodic fluctuations of reservoir level.A modified LEM is proposed to evaluate the stability evolution of soft and hard interbedded bedding reservoir slopes considering the spatial variation and temporal deterioration of shear strength parameters of rock masses and bedding *** the modified LEM,the S-curve model is used to define the spatial variation of shear strength parameters,and general deterioration equations of shear strength parameters with the increasing number of wettingdrying cycles(WDC)are proposed to describe the temporal ***,this method is applied to evaluate the stability evolution of a soft and hard interbedded bedding reservoir slope,located at the Three Gorges *** results show that neglecting the spatial variation and temporal deterioration of shear strength parameters may overestimate slope ***,the modified LEM provides useful guidance to reasonably evaluate the long-term stability of soft and hard interbedded bedding reservoir slopes in reservoir area.

Thermochromic material is a kind of smart material whose color will vary as the result of the phase transition caused by the temperature change. The characteristics of thermochromic materials are the memory functions to the temperature, having great potential applications in aerospace, military, anticounterfeiting technology, construction and other fields. In recent years, many kinds of thermochromic materials have been prepared by different methods and their discoloration mechanisms are various according to published literatures. In this paper, the classification, discoloration mechanism, preparation methods, application fields and development trend of thermochromic materials are reviewed.

Evaluation of the cyclic shear modulus of soils is a crucial but challenging task for many geotechnical earthquake engineering and soil dynamic issues. Improper determination of this property unnecessarily drives up design and maintenance costs or even leads to the construction of unsafe structures. Due to the complexities involved in the direct measurement, empirical curves for estimating the cyclic shear modulus have been commonly adopted in practice for simplicity and economical considerations. However, a systematic and robust approach for formulating a reliable model and empirical curve for cyclic shear modulus prediction for clayey soils is still lacking. In this study, the Bayesian model class selection approach is utilized to identify the most significant soil parameters affecting the normalized cyclic shear modulus and a reliable predictive model for normally to moderately over-consolidated clays is proposed. Results show that the predictability and reliability of the proposed model out performs the well-known empirical models. Finally, a new design chart is established for practical usage.
