The therapeutic outcomes of conventional oral medications against ulcerative colitis(UC)are restricted by inefficient drug delivery to the colitis mucosa and weak capacity to modulate the inflammatory ***,a fluorinated pluronic(FP127)was synthesized and employed to functionalize the surface of mulberry leaf-derived nanoparticles(MLNs)loading with resveratrol nanocrystals(RNs).The obtained FP127@RN-MLNs possessed exosome-like morphologies,desirable particle sizes(around 171.4 nm),and negatively charged surfaces(−14.8 mV).The introduction of FP127 to RN-MLNs greatly improved their stability in the colon and promoted their mucus infiltration and mucosal penetration capacities due to the unique fluorine effect.

Clonal propagation of mastic tree(Pistacia lentiscus *** Duham.) in outdoor beds using different rootstock and grafting techniques

We assessed different rootstocks and grafting techniques to clonally propagate mastic tree （Pistacia lentiscus var. chia）. Mastic tree is a dioecious tree but the quantity and quality of the resin secreted by female trees are very low; therefore, male trees that are clonally propagated are used to establish commercial plantations for mastic production. Conventional long branch cuttings for clonal production requires too much materials and has a very low rooting rate. Rooting with tissue culture and green cuttings has also failed outdoors. Grafting of mastic on other Pistacia species has not been tried so far; therefore, this study was aimed at developing grafting methods for the clonal propagation of mastic. P. atlantica and P. lentiscus rootstocks were grafted from 15 February to 15 October every 15 days using three grafting methods and a two-factor randomized block trial design. Early spring （15 February-15 March） proved to be the best time for grafting using either of the rootstocks. The highest grafting success was attained using the scions grafted on P. atlantica from 15 February to 15 March. The best bud-burst percentage was obtained using P. atlantica and P. lentiscus rootstocks.

In this paper, we focused on the identification of the normal and abnormal glow discharge modes in a neon-xenon gas mixture at low pressure. We considered four gas mixtures： 90%Ne-10%Xe, 80%Ne-20%Xe, 70%Ne-30%Xe and 50%Ne-50%Xe at 1.5 Torr. The range of the gap voltage is 150-500 V. A one-dimensional fluid model with multiple species was used in this work, and the metastable state of the atoms as well as the radiation effects were integrated into the model too. The input data changed for each percentage in the gas mixture, and was calculated by BOLSIG＋ software. The parameters of particle transport and their rate coefficients strictly depend on the mean electron energy. The results show that the neon ion density is negligible compared to the xenon ion density, mostly in the case of 50%Ne-50%Xe.

The nonlocal nonlinear vibration analysis of embedded laminated micro- plates resting on an elastic matrix as an orthotropic Pasternak medium is investigated. The small size effects of micro/nano-plate are considered based on the Eringen nonlocal theory. Based on the orthotropic Mindlin plate theory along with the von Kármán geo- metric nonlinearity and Hamilton＇s principle, the governing equations are derived. The differential quadrature method （DQM） is applied for obtaining the nonlinear frequency of system. The effects of different parameters such as nonlocal parameters, elastic me- dia, aspect ratios, and boundary conditions are considered on the nonlinear vibration of the micro-plate. Results show that considering elastic medium increases the nonlinear frequency of system. F^lrthermore, the effect of boundary conditions becomes lower at higher nonlocal parameters.

Influence of substrate temperature on the structural and properties of In-doped CdO films prepared by PLD

Transparent indium-doped cadmium oxide （In-CdO） thin films were deposited on quartz glass sub- strates by pulsed laser deposition （PLD） from an ablating Cd-In metallic target. The effect of substrate temperature on the structural, optical and electrical properties of In-doped CdO thin films were studied in detail. The optical transmittance of In doped CdO films are obviously influenced by the substrate temperature. All films exhibit a transmittance higher than 75% in the visible region. More significantly, In-doping leads to an evident widening of optical band gap from 2.56 to 2.91 eV; and the increase in optical band gap is found to depend on the deposition temperature. It is also seen that the electrical properties of these films strongly depend on the substrate temperature. The ln-CdO thin film grown at 300 ℃ has low resistivity （1.15 × 10^4 Ω.cm）, high carrier concentration （5.35 ×10^20 cm^-3）, and high mobility （101.43 cm2/（V-s））.

Automated Pavement Crack Detection Using Deep Feature Selection and Whale Optimization Algorithm

Pavement crack detection plays a crucial role in ensuring road safety and reducing maintenance *** advancements in deep learning(DL)techniques have shown promising results in detecting pavement cracks;however,the selection of relevant features for classification remains *** this study,we propose a new approach for pavement crack detection that integrates deep learning for feature extraction,the whale optimization algorithm(WOA)for feature selection,and random forest(RF)for *** performance of the models was evaluated using accuracy,recall,precision,F1 score,and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC).Our findings reveal that Model 2,which incorporates RF into the ResNet-18 architecture,outperforms baseline Model 1 across all evaluation ***,our proposed model,which combines ResNet-18 with both WOA and RF,achieves significantly higher accuracy,recall,precision,and F1 score compared to the other two *** results underscore the effectiveness of integrating RF and WOA into ResNet-18 for pavement crack detection *** applied the proposed approach to a dataset of pavement images,achieving an accuracy of 97.16%and an AUC of *** results demonstrate that the proposed approach surpasses existing methods for pavement crack detection,offering a promising solution for the automatic identification of pavement *** leveraging this approach,potential safety hazards can be identified more effectively,enabling timely repairs and maintenance ***,the findings of this study also emphasize the potential of integrating RF and WOA with deep learning for pavement crack detection,providing road authorities with the necessary tools to make informed decisions regarding road infrastructure maintenance.

An Estimation of Component Activity of Vanadium-bearing Liquid Iron and Transition Temperature of Vanadium Oxidization Using MIVM

The component activity of Mn in Fe-C-Mn system as well as the component activities of C and Si in Fe-C-Si system was predicted by applying the pseudo-multicomponent approach of the molecular interaction volume model （MIVM） and the Wagner interaction parameter formalism （WIPF） respectively. The average relative errors between the predicted values of MIVM and the experimental data for the three components were 4.5 0%, 17.0% and 13.0 %, respectively, and those between the calculation results of the WIPF and the experimental data were 18.0K for Mn, 9.0% for C and 27.0% for Si. The results indicated that the MIVM method could better predict the component activity of carbonaceous iron-based solution. Based on the data in an actual blowing process, the MIVM method was applied to predict the component activities of C and V as well as the transition temperature of vanadium oxidization （TTVO） in Fe-C-V-Si quaternary iron-based solution, and a comparative analysis of the predictions against the ex- perimental data was carried out, with their average relative errors being 24.0% for C, 7.3% for V and 1.0% for TTVO respectively. On that basis, the TTVO at Panzhihua Iron and Steel （Group） Co. , Ltd. was estimated by the MIVM method and an expression that the TTVO changed with composition and temperature of iron solutions was obtained by multiple linear regression method. The research results showed that the estimated values were in good agree- ment with the practical data.

Solidification/stabilization （S/S） is one of the most effective methods of dealing with heavy metal contaminated soils. The effects of cyclic wetting and drying on solidified/stabilized contaminated soils were investigated. A series of test program, unconfined compressive strength （UCS） test, TCLP leaching test and scanning electron microscopy （SEM） test, were performed on lead and zinc contaminated soils solidified/stabilized by fly ash. Test results show that UCS and the leaching characteristics of heavy metal ions of S/S contaminated soils are significantly improved with the increase of fly ash content. UCS of S/S soils firstly increases with the increase of the times of drying and wetting cycles, after reaching the peak, it decreases with it. When the pollutant content is lower （1 000 mg/kg）, the TCLP concentration first slightly decreases under cyclic drying and wetting, then increases, but the change is minor. The TCLP concentration is higher under a high pollutant content of 5 000 mg/kg, and increases with the increase of the times of drying and wetting cycles. The results of scanning electron microscopy （SEM） test are consistent with UCS tests and TCLP leaching tests, which reveals the micro-mechanism of the variations of engineering properties of stabilized contaminated soils after drying and wetting cycles.

Fokas system is the simplest(2+1)-dimensional extension of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation(Eq.(2),Inverse Problems 10(1994) L19-L22).By using the bilinear transformation method,general rational solutions for the Fokas system are given explicitly in terms of two order-N determinants T_n(n = 0,1) whose elements m_(i,j)^(n)(n = 0,1;1≤i,j≤N)are involved with order-n_i and order-n_j *** N = 1,three kinds of rational solution,i.e.,fundamental lump and fundamental rogue wave(RW) with n_1 = 1,and higher-order rational solution with n_1 > 2,are illustrated by explicit formulas from T_n(n = 0,1) and *** fundamental RW is a line RW possessing a line profile on(x,y)-plane,which arises from a constant background with at t > *** fundamental lump is a traveling wave,which can preserve its profile during the propagation on(x,y)-*** N ≥2 and n_1 =n_2=...=n_n = 1,several specific multi-rational solutions are given graphically.
