A hydrogen energy storage system(HESS)is one of the many risingmodern green innovations,using excess energy to generate hydrogen and storing it for various *** that,there have been many discussions about commercializing HESS and improving it ***,the design and sizing process can be overwhelming to comprehend with various sources to examine,and understanding optimal design methodologies is crucial to optimize a HESS *** that,this review aims to collect and analyse a wide range of HESS studies to summarise recent *** different collections of studies are studied,one was sourced by the main author for preliminary readings,and another was obtained via *** findings from the Web of Science platform were also examined for amore comprehensive *** findings include the People’sRepublic of China has been active in HESS research,as most works and active organizations originate from this *** has been mainly researched to support power generation and balance load demands,with financial analysis being the common scope of *** is a common tool used for HESS design,modelling,and optimization as it can handle complex *** neural network(ANN)has the potential to be used to model the HESS,but additional review is required as a formof future *** a commercialization perspective,pressurized hydrogen tanks are ideal for hydrogen storage in a HESS,but other methods can be considered after additional research and *** this review,it can be implied that modelling works will be the way forward for HESS research,but extensive collaborations and additional review are ***,this review summarized various takeaways that future research works on HESS can use.

Why do humans punish free riders at their own expense? This behavior represents an evolutionary puzzle in human societies. This study explores the role of exit strategies in fostering altruistic punishment within evolutionary game theory. We extend the traditional prisoner's dilemma model by incorporating exiters, players who opt out for a small payoff while nullifying their opponent's payoff, and altruistic punishers who cooperate and punish non-cooperators. Our findings indicate that in well-mixed populations, exiters destabilize defection but do not promote altruistic punishment. In social networks, however,exiters enable altruistic punishment via cyclic dominance among altruistic punishers, defectors, and exiters. Notably, this cyclic dominance is sensitive to exit payoffs; adjustments can lead to cyclic dominance of non-punishing cooperators, defectors, and exiters, or to a bi-stable state between these two types of cyclic dominance. These results highlight the nuanced impact of exiters on altruistic punishment, emphasizing the need for careful incentivization of exit behavior. While exiters can support altruistic punishment in networked populations, their effectiveness is not a panacea and is highly sensitive to exit payoffs, indicating limits to the voluntary participation mechanism.

ChatGPT is a powerful artificial intelligence(ai)language model that has demonstrated significant improvements in various natural language processing(NLP) tasks. However, like any technology, it presents potential security risks that need to be carefully evaluated and addressed. In this survey, we provide an overview of the current state of research on security of using ChatGPT, with aspects of bias, disinformation, ethics, misuse,attacks and privacy. We review and discuss the literature on these topics and highlight open research questions and future *** this survey, we aim to contribute to the academic discourse on ai security, enriching the understanding of potential risks and mitigations. We anticipate that this survey will be valuable for various stakeholders involved in ai development and usage, including ai researchers, developers, policy makers, and end-users.

The rapid growth of machine learning(ML)across fields has intensified the challenge of selecting the right algorithm for specific tasks,known as the Algorithm Selection Problem(ASP).Traditional trial-and-error methods have become impractical due to their resource *** Machine Learning(AutoML)systems automate this process,but often neglect the group structures and sparsity in meta-features,leading to inefficiencies in algorithm recommendations for classification *** paper proposes a meta-learning approach using Multivariate Sparse Group Lasso(MSGL)to address these *** method models both within-group and across-group sparsity among meta-features to manage high-dimensional data and reduce multicollinearity across eight meta-feature *** Fast Iterative Shrinkage-Thresholding Algorithm(FISTA)with adaptive restart efficiently solves the non-smooth optimization *** validation on 145 classification datasets with 17 classification algorithms shows that our meta-learning method outperforms four state-of-the-art approaches,achieving 77.18%classification accuracy,86.07%recommendation accuracy and 88.83%normalized discounted cumulative gain.

An imbalanced dataset often challenges machine learning, particularly classification methods. Underrepresented minority classes can result in biased and inaccurate models. The Synthetic Minority Over-Sampling Technique (SMOTE) was developed to address the problem of imbalanced data. Over time, several weaknesses of the SMOTE method have been identified in generating synthetic minority class data, such as overlapping, noise, and small disjuncts. However, these studies generally focus on only one of SMOTE’s weaknesses: noise or overlapping. Therefore, this study addresses both issues simultaneously by tackling noise and overlapping in SMOTE-generated data. This study proposes a combined approach of filtering, clustering, and distance modification to reduce noise and overlapping produced by SMOTE. Filtering removes minority class data (noise) located in majority class regions, with the k-nn method applied for filtering. The use of Noise Reduction (NR), which removes data that is considered noise before applying SMOTE, has a positive impact in overcoming data imbalance. Clustering establishes decision boundaries by partitioning data into clusters, allowing SMOTE with modified distance metrics to generate minority class data within each cluster. This SMOTE clustering and distance modification approach aims to minimize overlap in synthetic minority data that could introduce noise. The proposed method is called “NR-Clustering SMOTE,” which has several stages in balancing data: (1) filtering by removing minority classes close to majority classes (data noise) using the k-nn method;(2) clustering data using K-means aims to establish decision boundaries by partitioning data into several clusters;(3) applying SMOTE oversampling with Manhattan distance within each cluster. Efficient Partitioning Method for Optimizing the Compression on Array Data

Array partitioning is an important research problem in array management area,since the partitioning strategies have important influence on storage,query evaluation,and other components in array management ***,compression is highly needed for the array data due to its growing *** that the array partitioning can affect the compression performance significantly,this paper aims to design the efficient partitioning method for array data to optimize the compression *** far as we know,there still lacks research efforts on this *** this paper,the problem of array partitioning for optimizing the compression performance(PPCP for short)is firstly *** adopt a popular compression technique which allows to process queries on the compressed data without ***,because the above problem is NP-hard,two essential principles for exploring the partitioning solution are introduced,which can explain the core idea of the partitioning algorithms proposed by *** first principle shows that the compression performance can be improved if an array can be partitioned into two parts with different *** second principle introduces a greedy strategy which can well support the selection of the partitioning positions *** by the two principles,two greedy strategy based array partitioning algorithms are designed for the independent case and the dependent case *** the expensive cost of the algorithm for the dependent case,a further optimization based on random sampling and dimension grouping is proposed to achieve linear time ***,the experiments are conducted on both synthetic and real-life data,and the results show that the two proposed partitioning algorithms achieve better performance on both compression and query evaluation.
