The networking of microgrids has received significant attention in the form of a smart *** this paper,a set of smart railway stations,which is assumed as microgrids,is connected *** has been tried to manage the energy exchanged between the networked microgrids to reduce received energy from the utility ***,the operational costs of stations under various conditions decrease by applying the proposed *** smart railway stations are studied in the presence of photovoltaic(PV)units,energy storage systems(ESSs),and regenerative braking *** regenerative braking is one of the essential ***,the stochastic behaviors of the ESS’s initial state of energy and the uncertainty of PV power generation are taken into account through a scenario-based *** networked microgrid scheme of railway stations(based on coordinated operation and scheduling)and independent operation of railway stations are *** proposed method is applied to realistic case studies,including three stations of Line 3 of Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway Operation Company(TUSROC).The rolling stock is simulated in the MATLAB ***,the coordinated operation of networked microgrids and independent operation of railway stations are optimized in the GAMS environment utilizing mixed-integer linear programming(MILP).

Will Tax Burden Be a Stumbling Block to Carbon-Emission Reduction? Evidence from OECD Countries

The influence of taxation on the economy and society is everywhere. Given the fact that CO_(2) emission is closely connected with human activities, the question naturally arises whether the tax burden affects the carbon emissions. To address this issue, based on the data of 21 OECD countries over the period from 1991–2014, we use the ratio of tax revenue to GDP as a proxy of the tax burden and employ a panel quantile model with the non-additive fixed effects for analysis. The results suggest that the impact of the tax burden on carbon emissions is heterogeneous across countries based on the level of carbon emissions. Moreover, we find a stable U-shaped relationship between the tax burden and carbon emissions whether for countries with a high or low level of carbon emissions. Our findings suggest that moderate taxes could help reduce carbon emissions, but the effect of excessive taxation is the opposite.

Laparoscopic Transperitoneal Pyeloplasty for Ureteropelvic Junction Obstruction: Preliminary Results from 26 Cases

Background and Objectives: Pyelo-Ureteral Junction Syndrome (PUJS) is the most common obstructive malformation of the upper urinary tract in children and adults. The standard treatment is open pyeloplasty using the Kuss-Anderson technique. Because of the minimally invasive nature of the laparoscopic approach, it has become the approach of choice for the management of this pathology. We present the results of laparoscopic transperitoneal pyeloplasty used in the management of PUJS. Materials and Methods: This was a retrospective study from 2015 to 2020, including 26 patients who underwent laparoscopic transperitoneal pyeloplasty for PUJS. Results: Twenty-six patients, including 18 (69.2%) men and 6 (30.8%) women, with a mean age of 35.42 ± 13.62 years, were treated. Renal colic was the primary symptom in the majority of the cases (22, 84.6%)). The diagnosis was confirmed in all patients through an abdominal CT scan, which revealed that all 26 patients had hydronephrosis. Half of the patients (50.0%) were classified as Valayer-Cendron Type II, and eight (30.8%) patients had associated stones. Seventeen (65.4%) patients had pathologies on the left side, and all patients were treated using the Kuss-Anderson technique with a median operating time of 108.5 (90.0 - 136.0) minutes. The uncrossing of lower pole vessels was performed in 10 patients. The average duration of hospitalisation was 2.23 ± 0.82 days. No conversion was observed, and after an average follow-up of 53.69 days, the success rate was 92.3%. Conclusion: Laparoscopic pyeloplasty is a minimally invasive technique of choice for the treatment of pyelo-ureteral junction obstruction. It is dependable, repeatable, and produces good functional outcomes that are equal to those of traditional surgery.

Rapid economic development usually leads to serious environmental pollution *** order to solve the problem of pollutant emission in sustainable industrial development,it is urgent to examine the implementation effect of emissions trading policy(ETP)and its impact on green industrial *** study adopts China's ETP as a case study and selects provincial panel data from 2004 to *** first use a non-radial,non-directed,slack-based measure-directional distance function(SBM-DDF)to measure industrial green innovation *** we use a difference in differences(DID)model to empirically test the emissions reduction effect of China's policy and whether it promotes industrial green ***,results show that:(1)the ETP reduces sulfur dioxide(SO2)emissions indicating the effectiveness of the policy;(2)the policy significantly improves industrial green innovation efficiency,meaning it promotes the sustainable development of the economy;(3)heterogeneity analysis highlights that ETP produces greater benefits for the most polluted regions of China which have more strict environmental *** study examines the effect of emissions trading policy implementation from a new *** study also provides a reference point for China to further refine its policy mechanisms and for other countries to formulate suitable ETP.

Endovascular interventions may save limbs in elderly subjects with severe lower extremity arterial disease

Endovascular intervention,such as percu-taneous transluminal angioplasty(PTA),improves claudication and saves limbs of patients with severe lower extremity arterial dis-ease(LEAD).[1]A previous study showed that the mortality among octogenarians was as high as 29%regardless of the type of intervention and that re-vascularization was associated with high peripro-cedural mortality.[2]A previous study had already shown that reconstructive surgery for elderly indi-viduals over 80 years old resulted in a significantly higher mortality rate than that for patients between 70 and 80 years old,whereas endovascular inter-vention and primarily conservative treatment had comparable prognoses.[3]Consistently,another study showed that the risks of both overall and am-putation-free survival were significantly lower with endovascular treatment than with bypass surgery in patients with critical limb ischemia.[4]A systematic review and meta-analysis of 27 studies(15 cohort and 12 randomized controlled trials)with 1642 pa-tients suggests that conservative treatment may be considered for nonreconstructable patients with critical limb ischemia;[5]however,because a high risk of bias and serious inconsistencies were found in the included studies,the meta-analysis provided low-quality *** contrast,a small cohort study with 49 patients suggests that amputation im-proved quality of life and health status in fragile elderly individuals.

In this paper, the optimal XL-reinsurance of an insurer with jump-diffusion risk process is studied. With the assumptions that the risk process is a compound Possion process perturbed by a standard Brownian motion and the reinsurance premium is calculated according to the variance principle, the implicit expression of the priority and corresponding value function when the utility function is exponential are obtained. At last, the value function is argued, the properties of the priority about parameters are discussed and numerical results of the priority for various claim-size distributions are shown.

Web software reliability modeling with random impulsive shocks

As the web-server based business is rapidly developed and popularized, how to evaluate and improve the reliability of web-servers has been extremely important. Although a large num- ber of software reliability growth models （SRGMs）, including those combined with multiple change-points （CPs）, have been available, these conventional SRGMs cannot be directly applied to web soft- ware reliability analysis because of the complex web operational profile. To characterize the web operational profile precisely, it should be realized that the workload of a web server is normally non-homogeneous and often observed with the pattern of random impulsive shocks. A web software reliability model with random im- pulsive shocks and its statistical analysis method are developed. In the proposed model, the web server workload is characterized by a geometric Brownian motion process. Based on a real data set from IIS server logs of ICRMS website （***）, the proposed model is demonstrated to be powerful for estimating impulsive shocks and web software reliability.

Sydenham’s Chorea: Apropos of Three Observed Cases at the N’Djamena Mother and Child University Teaching Hospital (CHU-ME)-Chad

Introduction: Post-streptococcal chorea is the most common form of acquired chorea in children. Objective: The objective of this study was to contribute to better management of this condition by giving the characteristics of the epidemiological, clinical, biological, etiological, therapeutic and evolutionary aspects. Methodology: This was a retrospective and descriptive study from January 2021 to December 2021 which took place in the pediatrics department of the Mother and Child University Teaching Hospital of N’Djamena (CHU-ME). All the children in whom we observed abnormal involuntary movements whose age was less than or equal to 15 years were concerned. Result: there were three female children. The average age was 7.5, of which the two are 7 years old and the third is 8 years old. Two had a history of angina. A notion of polyarthralgia and dental caries was found in the third. The diagnosis of post-streptococcal chorea was retained on the basis of clinical arguments: observation of abnormal movements of the limbs and the face, which are involuntary, sudden with an insidious and progressive onset, muscular hypotonia, and psychic disorder. Medical imaging, in particular echocardiography, which objectified two cases of associated rheumatic valvular disease. Remission was observed in all three children after two weeks of treatment with haloperidol, penicillin. Those with associated rheumatic valve disease also received corticosteroid therapy. Complete remission of chorea was observed in all three girls. Prophylaxis in two patients based on Penicillin V was instituted. Conclusion: Although less frequent, post-streptococcal chorea is still seen in our country and is still an important health problem that needs more real medical efforts.

Empirical Research on Relationship between Corporate Brand Value and Apparel Market Sales Revenue of Apparel Enterprise

Among the existing researches on brand value,few of them focused on the demands of the companies in the clothing industry to brand value. There were three innovation points as follows: first of all,two key demands of apparel companies to existing brand value were summarized through investigation; then,the concept of rapid brand value evaluation and multi-dimensional factors( MDFs) was presented; finally,the relationship between apparel corporate brand value and the sales revenue in apparel market with the sales revenue was proven by empirical *** the process of empirical study,the sales revenue data of 66 apparel enterprises domestic and abroad were collected,and the regression analysis has been done on the relationship between the corporate brand value and the apparel market sales revenue of apparel enterprise. The empirical research showed that they were positively correlated to each other. This conclusion presented a method of judging brand value development trend quickly by single indicator.
