Diabetes mellitus,generally known as diabetes,is one of the most common diseases *** is a metabolic disease characterized by insulin deciency,or glucose(blood sugar)levels that exceed 200 mg/dL(11.1 ml/L)for prolonged periods,and may lead to death if left uncontrolled by medication or insulin *** is categorized into two main types—type 1 and type 2—both of which feature glucose levels above“normal,”dened as 140 mg/*** is triggered by malfunction of the pancreas,which releases insulin,a natural hormone responsible for controlling glucose levels in blood *** and comprehensive analysis of this potentially fatal disease necessitate application of techniques with minimal rates of *** primary purpose of this research study is to assess the potential role of machine learning in predicting a person’s risk of developing ***,research has supported the use of various machine algorithms,such as naïve Bayes,decision trees,and articial neural networks,for early diagnosis of ***,to achieve maximum accuracy and minimal error in diagnostic predictions,there remains an immense need for further research and innovation to improve the machine-learning tools and techniques available to healthcare ***,in this paper,we propose a novel cloud-based machine-learning fusion technique involving synthesis of three machine algorithms and use of fuzzy systems for collective generation of highly accurate nal decisions regarding early diagnosis of diabetes.

AIM： To assess whether portacaval anastomosis （PCA） in rats affects the protein expression and/or activity of glutaminase in kidneys, intestines and in three brain areas of cortex, basal ganglia and cerebellum and to explain the neurological alterations found in hepatic encephalopathy （HE）. METHODS： Sixteen male Wistar rats weighing 250-350 g were grouped into sham-operation control （n=8） or portacaval shunt （n = 8）. Twenty-eight days after the procedure, the animals were sacrificed. The duodenum, kidney and brain were removed, homogenised and mitochondria were isolated. Ammonia was measured in brain and blood. Phosphate-activated glutaminase （PAG） activity was determined by measuring ammonia production following incubation for one hour at 37 ℃ with O-phthalaldehyde （OPA） and specific activity expressed in units per gram of protein （pkat/g of protein）. Protein expression was measured by immunoblotting. RESULTS： Duodenal and kidney PAG activities together with protein content were significantly higher in PCA group than in control or sham-operated rats （duodenum PAG activity was 976.95±268.87μkat/g of protein in PCA rats vs 429.19±126.92.μkat/g of protein in shamoperated rats; kidneys PAG activity was 1259.18±228.79 μkat/g protein in PCA rats vs 669.67±400.8 μkat/g of protein in controls, P〈0.05; duodenal protein content： 173% in PCA vs sham-operated rats; in kidneys the content of protein was 152% in PCA vs sham-operated rats）. Anorectal emergencies refer to anorectal disorders presenting with some alarming symptoms such as acute anal pain and bleeding which might require an immediate management. This article deals with the diagnosis and management of common anorectal emergencies such as acutely thrombosed external hemorrhoid, thrombosed or strangulated internal hemorrhoid, bleeding hemorrhoid, bleeding anorectal varices, anal fissure, irreducible or strangulated rectal prolapse, anorectal abscess, perineal necrotizing fasciitis(Fournier gangrene), retained anorectal foreign bodies and obstructing rectal cancer. Sexually transmitted diseases as anorectal non-surgical emergencies and some anorectal emergencies in neonates are also discussed. The last part of this review dedicates to the management of early complications following common anorectal procedures that may present as an emergency including acute urinary retention, bleeding, fecal impaction and anorectal sepsis. Although many of anorectal disorders presenting in an emergency setting are not life-threatening and may be successfully treated in an outpatient clinic, an accurate diagnosis and proper management remains a challenging problem for clinicians. A detailed history taking and a careful physical examination, including digital rectal examination and anoscopy, is essential for correct diagnosis and plan of treatment. In some cases, some imaging examinations, such as endoanal ultrasonography and computerized tomography scan of whole abdomen, are required. If in doubt, the attending physicians should not hesitate to consult an expert e.g., colorectal surgeon about the diagnosis, proper management and appropriate follow-up.

In this work, the authors introduce the concept of(p, q)-quasi-contraction mapping in a cone metric space. We prove the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point for a(p, q)-quasi-contraction mapping in a complete cone metric space. The results of this paper generalize and unify further fixed point theorems for quasi-contraction, convex contraction mappings and two-sided convex contraction of order 2.

Architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) global project teamwork is communication intensive and relies heavily on synchronous and asynchronous information and collaboration technologies (ICT). We explore in this paper how an asynchronous ICT, called ThinkTank, reshaped the work practice of design-construction global teams, and how the interaction with this ICT reshaped the purpose and benefits of its use. ThinkTank is a web-based asynchronous collaboration and discussion forum. We introduce the influence diffusion model (IDM) that formalizes the process of identifying the influence of people, messages, and terms mathematically. Discovering who the influence leaders in project teams are can be beneficial and critical from a corporate management perspective, since they can guide or motivate the team towards successful actions and outcomes. We present the ThinkTank-IDM integrated system and its validation with a testbed of 53 AEC global team project archived in ThinkTank over 8 years.

Performance of carbon nanotube(CNT) and their attached metal oxides(manganese oxide(MnO) and cadmium dioxide(CdO2)) structures as anode electrodes in lithium-ion battery(LIB) and potassium-ion battery(KIB) are investigated. The Gibbs free energy of adsorption of Li and K atoms/ions on surfaces of CNT(8, 0), CNT(8, 0)-MnO and CNT(8, 0)-CdO2 are calculated. The cell voltages(Vcell) of Li and K atoms/ions adsorption on studied surfaces are examined. The Vcell of LIBs with metal-oxides attached to CNT(8, 0) as anode electrodes are higher than those KIBs. The adsorbed metal oxides(MnO and CdO2) on CNT(8, 0) increased the charges, electronic conductivity and Vcell of LIB and KIB, efficiently. The CNT(8, 0)-CdO2 as anode electrodes in LIB and KIB is proposed.

Soil organic carbon （SOC） pool has the potential to mitigate or enhance climate change by either acting as a sink, or a source of atmospheric carbon dioxide （CO2） and also plays a fundamental role in the health and proper functioning of soils to sustain life on Earth. As such, the objective of this study was to investigate the applicability of a novel evolutionary genetic optimization-based adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system （ANFIS-EG） in predicting and mapping the spatial patterns of SOC stocks in the Eastern Mau Forest Reserve, Kenya. Field measurements and auxiliary data reflecting the soil-forming factors were used to design an ANFIS-EG model, which was then implemented to predict and map the areal differentiation of SOC stocks in the Eastern Mau Forest Reserve. This was achieved with a reasonable level of uncertainty （i.e., root mean square error of 15.07 Mg C ha-l）, hence demonstrating the applicability of the ANFIS-EG in SOC mapping studies. There is potential for improving the model performance, as indicated by the current ratio of performance to deviation （1.6）. The mapping also revealed marginally higher SOC stocks in the forested ecosystems （i.e., an average of 109.78 M C ha-1） than in the aro-ecosvstems （i.e., an average of 95.9 Mg C ha-l）.

A case study was conducted in beech forests of northern Iran to determine the effect of the created gaps on some soil properties in beech stand. Changes of soil properties in small （60-150 mE）, medium （151-241 mE）, large （242-332 m^2） and very large （333-550 m^2） gaps, as well as under closed stands were studied eight years after-the gap creation. Soil samples were taken from three depths, 0-10, 10-20 and 20-30 cm. The gaps were different from their around undisturbed stands in terms of the following soil parameters： Mg^＋2 concentration of 0-10 cm at medium gap size, bulk density of 10-20 cm at very large gap size as well as K^＋ and Ca^＋2 concentrations at 20-30 cm at small and large gap sizes, respectively. Furthermore, the size of the gaps had no effect on soil characteristics through the whole profile. Water saturation percent （Sp %） at 0-10cm as well as P and Mg^＋2 at 20--30 cm was different amongst undisturbed stands around different gap sizes. The center and the edges of the gap were different only in terms of organic carbon at the depth of 10-20 cm. Significant differences were observed between gaps and closed canopy regarding P and Ca^＋2 at depth 0--10 cm and 10-20 cm, respectively. It can be concluded that applied silvicultural system for harvesting trees which created these gaps might be suitable for conservation and forest management in the region.
