The effect of tin on general and pitting corrosion behaviors of the austenitic stainless steel in sulfuric acid and sodium chloride solutions was investigated by potentiostatic critical pitting temperature, cyclic potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that there is an optimal tin addition which is around （0.062-0.1） wt%, and the general corrosion resistance of B316LX with 0.08 wt% tin addition in boiling H2SO4 increased remarkably with a corrosion rate of an order of magnitude lower than that of 316L. Hydrolyzation of tin ions induces more metastable pit occurrence on the material surface. However, the pitting resistance of B316LX increases because tin oxides improve the density and uniformity of the passive film, and hydroxide and oxide of tin inhabit the process of pit growing. The effect of tin on pitting corrosion process is illustrated schematically.

Ground short circuit faults in current transmission lines are common in the power *** order to prevent the power system from aggravating the accident caused by short-circuit faults of transmission lines,a novel convolutional neural network(CNN)model is constructed to identify the short-circuit fault of the transmission line in the power *** CNN model is mainly consisted of five convolutional layers,three max-pooling layers,one concatenate layer,one dropout layer,one fully connected layer,and a Softmax *** method uses a fixed time window to intercept system short-circuit fault data,extracts the deep features of these data from the training samples,and then corresponds the extracted features to labels ***,in PSCAD/EMTDC,the new England 10 machine 39 nodes are taken as an example to realize the *** experimental results show that the CNN model can quickly and accurately identify the short-circuit fault types,and the optimal model accuracy rate reaches 99.95%.The results of this manuscript-have positive effect on enhancing the disaster prevention capability and the operation stability of transmission lines.

Carbon-sulfur nano-composite cathodes for lithium rechargeable batteries were investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The novel carbon-sulfur nano-composite material was synthesized by heating sublimed sulfur and high surface area activated carbon (HSAAC) in certain conditions. Equivalent circuits were used to fit the spectra at different discharge states. The variations of impedance spectra, charge-transfer resistance and double layer capacitance were discussed. The changes of EIS with potential were analyzed based on a plausible electrical equivalent circuit model, and some parameters were measured and analyzed about electrochemical performance and state of charge and discharge of the electrode. The good accuracy in fitting values of the model to the experimental data indicates that the mathematical model gives out a satisfying description upon the mechanism of high rate of capacity fade in lithium-sulfur battery.

Formulation design of granules prepared by wet granulation method using a multi-functional single-punch tablet press to avoid tableting failures

We previously determined "Tableting properties" by using a multi-functional single-punch tablet press(GTP-1). We plotted "compactability" on the x-axis against "Manufacturability"on the y-axis to allow visual evaluation of "Tableting properties". Here, we examined whether this evaluation method can be used in the formulation design of tablets prepared by wet granulation. We used the GTP-1 to measure "Tableting properties" with different amounts of binder, disintegrant, and lubricant, and compared the results with those of tableting on a commercial rotary tableting machine. Tableting failures(capping and binding in particular) occurred when samples that had been evaluated as having poor "compactability" or"Manufacturability" on the GTP-1 were compressed on the rotary tableting machine. Thus,our evaluation method predicted tableting failure at the commercial scale. The method will prove useful for scaling up production.

Effect of fluxes on synthesis and luminescence properties of BaSi_2O_2N_2:Eu^(2+) oxynitride phosphors

Eu^2＋ activated BaSi2 O2 N2 oxynitride bluish-green phosphor was synthesized adopting conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction method, in which BaF2, Na2 co3 and NH4 Cl were used as the *** phase formation, size distribution and microscopic morphology were characterized to investigate the influence of adding fluxes on photo luminescence properties. The results indicate that with the addition of BaF2 flux, the particle morphology becomes regular and size distribution narrows and the phase purity of BaSi2 O2 N2：Eu^2＋ phosphor can be improved effectively. The photoluminescence intensity of BaSi2 O2 N2：Eu^2＋ phosphor with BaF2 as flux gets enhanced obviously, which is much higher than that of Na2 co3, NH4 Cl and without flux. The optimum content of BaF2 flux is 4 wt%, and the maximum photoluminescence intensity of the BaSi2 O2 N2：Eu^2＋ phosphor prepared with BaF2 flux rises to 141%,meanwhile, the phosphors with BaF2 flux exhibits low thermal quenching. The results indicate that the BaSi2 O2 N2：Eu^2＋ is sort of promising bluish-green phosphor for application in full-spectra LED.

Modeling assessment of recovering iron from red mud by direct reduction： magnetic separation based on response surface methodology

Red mud, the waste generated during alumina production, contains iron and other valuable metals. To recover the iron efficiently from red mud, a three-factor five-level central composite design in response surface methodology was used to study the effects of process parameters, such as FC/O （the molar ratio of fixed carbon in coal to reducible oxygen of iron oxide in red mud）, reduction temperature, reduction time, and their interaction on the iron recovery rate and total iron content in magnetic product obtained from the process of direct reduction-magnetic separation. The relevant assessment model was established. The model could predict the changing rules of iron recovery rate and total iron content in the magnetic product affected by the process parameters. The results show that the iron recovery rate is significantly influenced by three factors and reduction temperature plays the most important role. The iron recovery rate and total iron content in magnetic product could be up to 98.37 and 82.52%, respectively, under the numerically optimal process parameters condition of reduction temperature of 1400 ℃, FC/O of 0.80 and reduction time of 100 min obtained by the assessment model. The predicted values are in good agreement with the experimental values.

The issue of source of oil/gas in the platform basin area in Tarim Basin has been debated for a long time, and the debate is focused on whether the marine oil/gas resources that have been discovered in the basin were originated from hydrocarbon source rocks in the Cambrian-Lower Ordovician or in the Mid-Upper Ordovician. In this paper a summary was made in regard to the major points and supporting data by the predecessors, and a discussion was conducted toward the core issues related to the study on the oil source in the Tarim Basin area, such as choice of correlation parameters, influence of maturation and physical differentiation on oil source correlation parameters, and geological and geochemical significance of these relevant correlation indices. It is quite probable that different interpretation results could arise from the oil source correlation due to choice of parameters severely affected by the thermal maturation and physical differentiation effect, and insisted that only those parameters that

convection heat transfer coefficient and air pressure drop in sinter layer are important factors for the design of sinter cooling craft. Due to the lack of necessary data, the two parameters are studied by experimental method. The experimental results show that heat conduction of sinter impacts the measurement of convection heat transfer coefficient. convection heat transfer increases with the increase of air volumetric flow rate. Sinter layer without small particles(sample I) gives higher convection heat transfer coefficient than that with small particles(sample II). Under the considered conditions, volumetric convection heat transfer coefficient is in the range of 400-1800 W/(m3·°C). Air pressure drop in sinter layer increases with the increase of normal superficial velocity, as well as with the rise of air temperature. Additionally, air pressure drop also depends on sinter particle size distribution. In considered experimental conditions, pressure drop in sinter sample II is 2-3 times that in sinter sample I, which resulted from 17% small scale particles in sinter sample II.

To improve the wear resistance of the FecoCrNiB_(0.2)high entropy alloy(HEA),the FecoCrNiB_(0.2)(WC_(0))and FecoCrNiB_(0.2)+20wt%WC(WC_(20))HEA coatings were prepared on Q235 steel by laser cladding(LC).The microstructure,hardness,and tribometer of the HEA coatings were investigated using scanning electron microscopy with spectroscopy(SEM/EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),vickers microhardness tester,and pin-on-disc tribometer,*** experimental results show that the WC0HEA coating comprises a simple BCC phase mixed with an M_(2)B *** 20wt%WC,the WC_(20)HEA coating is composed of a simple BCC phase mixed with the Cr_(23)C_(6)carbide *** microstructure of the WC_(20)HEA coating is simple,which consists of equiaxed grain and *** microhardness also increases from 625.5HV to 806.0HV,and the wear mass loss correspondingly decreases from 30.9 to 14.9 mg.W and C atoms formed by WC dissolution are mainly dissolved in the BCC phase,which leads to the solution strengthening ***,Cr_(23)C_(6)carbides inhibit the growth of the grains,play the role of fine-grain strengthening,and further improve the hardness and wear resistance of the HEA coating.
