Car Fuel Eco.omy Simulation Forecast Method Based on CVT Efficiencies Measured from Bench Test

Researchers face di culties in studying the e ects of driveline e ciency on car fuel eco.omy via bench and road tests because of long working periods, high co.ts, and heavy workloads. To simplify the study process and shorten test cycles, a car fuel eco.omy simulation forecast method for co.bining co.puter simulation forecasting with bench tests is proposed. Taking a co.tinuously variable transmission(CVT) as the research object, a transmission e ?ciency model based on a bench test is co.structed. An optimal eco.omic variogram based on the original CVT vari?ogram, the boundary co.ditions of vehicle performance, the road co.ditions and the driving behavior of the driver is generated in the Gear Shift Program(GSP)?Generation module in AVL Cruise. And on this basis a driveline simulation model that can calculate the fuel co.sumption based on the driveline data of a test car is built. The model is used to forecast fuel co.sumption and calculate real?time CVT e ciency under di erent co.ditions. co.trastive analyses on simulation results and real car drum test results are made. The largest error between simulation results and drum test results in driving cycles is 4.099%, which is 5.449% under co.stant velocity co.dition in driver co.trol mode and 4.2% under co.stant velocity co.dition in automatic cruise mode. The results co.firm the feasibility of the method and the good performance of the driveline simulation model in accurately forecasting fuel co.sumption. The method can e ciently investigate the e ects of driveline e ciency on car fuel eco.omy. Moreover, this research provides instruc?tion for accurately forecasting fuel eco.omy as well as references for studies on the e ects of drivelines on car fuel eco.omy.

In order to meet the demands of high temperature co.ponents in automobile, the microstructure and mechanical properties of several new die-casting AZ91-rare earth (RE) magnesium alloys were studied. The alloys were characterized by optical microsco.y (OM), scan electron microsco.y (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDX), tensile and creep tests. The results show that Ce addition has little effect on the mechanical properties of AZ91 alloy at high temperature, while Y and Nd addition play important role in the improvement of creep resistance. New alloys co.taining Y or Nd with excellent high temperature performance are selected to produce cylinder head co.er of high power diesel engine of Red Flag car and oil pan of Besturn car. The new magnesium alloys with RE addition for die-casting have potential to produce power-train parts, and can greatly decrease weight.

The 25 years＇ production and application have proved that vermicular graphite iron cylinder heads with vermicularity ≥50% satisfy the machinability and performance demand of diesel engine. The method, in which using cupola-induction furnace duplex melting and pour-over process with rare earth-ferrosilico. or rare earthsilico. co.pound as vermJcularizing alloy plus rare earth-magnesium-ferrosilico. as stirring alloy, is an optimal vermicularizing process for obtaining satisfied vermicularity. Using top kiss risers, enlarging kissing areas and expanding co.ering width and making ingates to freeze earlier are the effective measures to eliminate shrinkage, blowhole and oxide inclusions in the vermicular graphite iron cylinder heads.

Magnetic drive pump has gotten great achievement and has been widely used in some special fields. Currently, the researches on magnetic drive pump have focused on hydraulic design, bearing, axial force in China, and a new magnetic drive pump with low flow and high head have been developed overseas. However, low efficiency and large size are the co.mon disadvantages for the magnetic drive pump. In order to study the performance of high-speed magnetic drive pump, FLUENT was used to simulate the inner flow field of magnetic drive pumps with different rotate speeds, and get velocity and pressure distributions of inner flow field. Acco.ding to analysis the changes of velocity and pressure to ensure the stable operation of pump and avoid cavitation. Based on the analysis of velocity and pressure, this paper presents the pump efficiency of magnetic drive pumps with different rotated speeds by calculating the power loss in impeller and volute, hydraulic loss, volumetric loss, mechanical loss and discussing the different reasons of power loss between the magnetic drive pumps with different rotated speeds. In addition, the magnetic drive pumps were tested in a closed testing system. Pressure sensors were set in inlet and outlet of magnetic drive pumps to get the pressure and the head, while the pump efficiency co.ld be got by calculating the power loss between the input power and the outlet power. The results of simulation and test were similar, which shows that the method of simulation is feasible. The proposed research provides the instruction to design high-speed magnetic drive pump.

To analysis the early failures of machining centers,the failure mode effect and criticality analysis( FMECA) method was used. Based on the failure data co.lected from production lines in test run,all the failure modes of machining centers were summarized and criticality of all subsystems is figured out. And the process of FMECA was improved. The most critical subsystem was manipulator subsystem. The most critical failure mode was impacted manipulator. Reasons and effect of some important failure modes were analyzed. And some suggestions to solve failures were given.

Parallel robots are widely used in the academic and industrial fields. In spite of the numerous achievements in the design and dimensional synthesis of the low-mobility parallel robots, few research efforts are directed towards the asymmetric 3-DOF parallel robots whose end-effector can realize 2 translational and 1 rotational（2T1R） motion. In order to develop a manipulator with the capability of full circle rotation to enlarge the workspace, a new 2T1 R parallel mechanism is proposed. The modeling approach and kinematic analysis of this proposed mechanism are investigated. Using the method of vector analysis, the inverse kinematic equations are established. This is followed by a vigorous proof that this mechanism attains an annular workspace through its circular rotation and 2 dimensional translations. Taking the first order perturbation of the kinematic equations, the error Jaco.ian matrix which represents the mapping relationship between the error sources of geometric parameters and the end-effector position errors is derived. With co.sideration of the co.straint co.ditions of pressure angles and feasible workspace, the dimensional synthesis is co.ducted with a goal to minimize the global co.prehensive performance index. The dimension parameters making the mechanism to have optimal error mapping and kinematic performance are obtained through the optimization algorithm. All these research achievements lay the foundation for the prototype building of such kind of parallel robots.
