Multi-edge extended X-ray absorption fine structure(EXAfS)spectroscopy combined with reverse Monte Carlo(RMC)simulations was used to probe the details of element-specific local coordinations and component-dependent structure relaxations in single crystalline equiatomic CrMnfeCoNi high-entropy alloy as a function of the annealing *** representative states,namely a high-temperature state,created by annealing at 1373 K,and a low-temperature state,produced by long-term annealing at 993 K,were compared in *** features identified in atomic configurations of particular principal components indicate variations in the local environment distortions connected to different degrees of compositional disorder at the chosen representative *** detected changes provide new atomistic insights and correlate with the existence of kinks previously observed in the Arrhenius dependencies of component diffusion rates in the CrMnfeCoNi high-entropy alloy.

This paper presents the development and experimental utilization of a synchronized off-harmonic laser system designed as a probe for ultra-intense laser±plasma interaction experiments. The system exhibits a novel seed-generation design,allowing for a variable pulse duration spanning over more than three orders of magnitude, from 3.45 picoseconds to 10 nanoseconds. This makes it suitable for various plasma diagnostics and visualization techniques. In a side-view configuration, the laser was employed for interferometry and streaked shadowgraphy of a laser-induced plasma while successfully suppressing the self-emission background of the laser±plasma interaction, resulting in a signal-to-self-emission ratio of 110 for this setup. These properties enable the probe to yield valuable insights into the plasma dynamics and interactions at the PhELIX facility and to be deployed at various laser facilities due to its easy-to-implement design.

Neurodegenerative diseases are often misdiagnosed,especially when the diagnosis is based solely on clinical *** p75 neurotrophic receptor(p75^(NTR))has been studied as an index of sensory and motor nerve development and *** cleavable extracellular domain(ECd)is readily detectable in various biological fluids including plasma,serum and *** is evidence for increased p75NTR ECd levels in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease,amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,age-related dementia,schizophrenia,and diabetic *** p75^(NTR) ECd could be used as a biomarker for diagnosis and/or prognosis in these disorders,and whether it could potentially lead to the development of targeted therapies,remains an open *** this review,we present and discuss published studies that have evaluated the relevance of this emerging biomarker in the context of various neurodegenerative *** also highlight areas that require further investigation to better understand the role of p75^(NTR) ECd in the clinical diagnosis and management of neurodegenerative disorders.

This future article discusses the new prospects and directions of CO_(2)conversion via the photo-electrocatalytic(PEC)*** second(2nd)generation solar fuels and chemicals(Sfs)are generated directly in PEC systems via electrons/protons reactions without forming molecular h_(2)as an intermediate,overcoming the thermodynamics limitations and practical issues encountered for electro-fuels produced by multistep thermocatalytic processes(***_(2)conversion with h_(2)coming from water electrolysis).A distributed and decentralized production of Sfs requires very compact,highly integrated,and intensified *** the existing reactors of advanced design(based on artificial leaves or photosynthesis),the integrated photovoltaic plus electrocatalytic(PV-EC)device is the only system(demonstrated at large scale)to produce Sfs with high solar-to-fuel(STf)***,while the literature indicates STf efficiency as the main(and only)measure of process performance,we remark here the need to refer to productivity(in terms of current density)and make tests with reliable flow PEC systems(with electrodes of at least 5–10 cm^(2))to accelerate the scaling-up *** approaches that minimize downstream separation costs is also *** limitations exist in PEC systems,but most can be overcome by proper electrode and cell engineering,thus going beyond the properties of the *** examples of current developments,we present the progress of(i)artificial leaf/tree devices for green h_(2)distributed production and(ii)a PEC device producing the same chemicals at both cathode and anode parts without downstream operations for green solvent distributed *** on these developments,future directions,such as producing fertilizers and food components from the air,are *** aim is to provide new ideas and research directions from a personal perspective.

In this paper,we address the complex problem of dock-door assignment and truck scheduling within cross-docking *** is a problem that requires frequent resolution throughout the operational day,as disruptions often invalidate the optimal *** the problem's highly combinatorial nature,finding an optimal solution demands significant computational time and ***,the distribution of data across problem instances over a lengthy planning horizon remains consistently stable,with minimal concern regarding distribution *** factors collectively establish the problem as an ideal candidate for a learn-to-optimize solution *** propose a dantzig-Wolfe reformulation,solving it via both a conventional branch-and-price approach and a neural branch-and-price approach,the latter of which employs imitation ***,we introduce some classes of valid inequalities to enhance and refine the pricing problem through a branch-and-cut *** computational experiments demonstrate that this methodology is not only feasible but also presents a viable alternative to the traditional branch-and-price algorithms typically utilized for such challenges.

Sporadic venous malformations are genetic conditions primarily caused by somatic gain-of-function mutation of PIK3CA or TEK,an endothelial transmembrane receptor signaling through *** malformations are associated with pain,bleedings,thrombosis,pulmonary embolism,esthetic deformities and,in severe cases,life-threatening *** authorized medical treatment exists for patients with venous ***,we created a genetic mouse model of PIK3CA-related capillary venous malformations that replicates patient *** showed that these malformations only partially signal through AKT *** compared the efficacy of different drugs,including rapamycin,a mTORC1 inhibitor,miransertib,an AKT inhibitor and alpelisib,a PI3Kαinhibitor at improving the lesions seen in the mouse *** demonstrated the effectiveness of alpelisib in preventing vascular malformations’occurrence,improving the already established ones,and prolonging *** these findings,we were authorized to treat 25 patients with alpelisib,including 7 children displaying PIK3CA(n=16)or TEK(n=9)-related capillary venous malformations resistant to usual therapies including sirolimus,debulking surgical procedures or percutaneous *** assessed the volume of vascular malformations using magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)for each *** demonstrated improvement in all 25 *** malformations previously considered intractable were reduced and clinical symptoms were *** showed a decrease of 33.4%and 27.8%in the median volume of PIK3CA and TEK malformations respectively,over 6 months on *** conclusion,this study supports PI3Kαinhibition as a promising therapeutic strategy in patients with PIK3CA or TEK-related capillary venous malformations.

Influence of symmetric and asymmetric rolling on texture evolution of work-hardened AA 5xxx aluminium alloy

The textures and microstructures of hot- and cold-rolled sheets of an AA 5454 aluminium alloy were studied， with special attention paid to comparing the texture development for the symmetric and asymmetric cold rolling. Scanning electron microscopy with electron-backscatter diffraction was used to monitor the development of the microstructure in the differently deformed and additionally annealed samples. details of the formations and transformations of individual texture components occurring during the rolling processes were observed and discussed. The average grain sizes， textures and mechanical properties were correlated and explained for the symmetric and asymmetric cold-rolled samples. The asymmetric rolling is beneficial in terms of deep drawability because it reduces the planar anisotropy of the annealed material due to the decrease of the Cube， Goss， Rotated Cube and η- fibre texture components and the same time strengthens X1- and X2-fibre texture components which are shear texture components and improve deep drawability. during the asymmetric cold rolling， the temperature increases due to friction， triggering recrystallisation processes and leading to larger grains. It was also confirmed that asymmetric cold rolling uses less rolling force and consequently less energy to produce a final material with better formability， particularly earing.
