Assessing Lateral Continuity within the Yammama Reservoir in the Foroozan Oilfield, Offshore Iran: An Integrated Study

Located in Iranian sector of the Persian Gulf, Foroozan Oilfield has been producing hydrocarbons via seven different reservoirs since the 1970 s. However, understanding fluid interactions and horizontal continuity within each reservoir has proved complicated in this field. This study aims to determine the degree of intra-reservoir compartmentalization using gas geochemistry, light hydrocarbon components, and petroleum bulk properties, comparing the results with those obtained from reservoir engineering indicators. For this purpose, a total of 11 samples of oil and associated gas taken from different producing wells in from the Yammama Reservoir were selected. Clear distinctions, in terms of gas isotopic signature and composition, between the wells located in northern and southern parts of the reservoir(i.e. lighter δ13 C1, lower methane concentration, and negative sulfur isotope in the southern part) and light hydrocarbon ratios(e.g. nC 7/toluene, 2,6-dmC7/1,1,3-tmcyC5 and m-xylene/4-mC8) in different oil samples indicated two separate compartments. Gradual variations in a number of petroleum bulk properties(API gravity, V/Ni ratios and asphaltene concentration) provided additional evidence on the reservoir-filling direction, signifying that a horizontal equilibrium between reservoir fluids across the Yammama Reservoir is yet to be achieved. Finally, differences in water-oil contacts and reservoir types further confirmed the compartmentalization of the reservoir into two separate compartments.

Since July 2014,when the international oil price slumped,the upstream sector of global oil and gas industry has experienced a tough transformation phase lasting over two *** terms of the development trend,the global upstream sector has demonstrated six characteristics since 2017:firstly,global upstream investment will probably demonstrate the trend of "touching the ground and rising again";secondly,upstream operating costs will continually decline;thirdly,more favorable finance and taxation clauses will be offered for some resources to be developed through foreign cooperation;fourthly,global oil and gas output will probably further increase;fifthly,upstream exploration efficiency is anticipated to steadily increase;and sixthly,upstream geological understandings,theory and technology will continue to *** accordance with the above-mentioned development trends,Chinese oil enterprises must be prepared in four aspects for future ***,persistent upstream investment has to be guaranteed,particularly in the exploration field;secondly,upstream operation efficiency must be promoted through the enhancement of technical research;thirdly,overseas upstream property must be purchased within the "time window";and fourthly,reforms have to be carried out to realize transformation in the petroleum industry.

This study investigates whether the implied crude oil volatility and the historical OPEC price volatility can impact the return to and volatility of the energy-sector equity indices in *** analysis specifically considers the refining,drilling,and petrochemical equity sectors of the Tehran Stock *** parameter estimation uses the quasi-Monte Carlo and Bayesian optimization methods in the framework of a generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity model,and a complementary Bayesian network analysis is also *** analysis takes into account geopolitical risk and economic policy uncertainty data as other proxies for *** study also aims to detect different price regimes for each equity index in a novel way using homogeneous/non-homogeneous Markov switching autoregressive *** these methods provide improvements by restricting the analysis to a specific price-regime period,they produce conflicting results,rendering it impossible to draw general conclusions regarding the contagion effect on returns or the volatility transmission between ***,the results indicate that the OPEC(historical)price volatility has a stronger effect on the energy sectors than the implied volatility *** types of oil price shocks are found to have no effect on the drilling sector price pattern,whereas the refining and petrochemical equity sectors do seem to undergo changes in their price patterns nearly concurrently with future demand shocks and oil supply shocks,respectively,gaining dominance in the oil market.

Nowadays, natural hazards constitute an integral part in the everyday reality of people’s lives. A landslide event, although usually occurring at a low frequency (compared to other hazards), may develop into a major natural disaster involving extensive and adverse effects, both in the natural and man-made environment. Thus, by making this assumption and combining it with the human mentality that has the tendency to reassure and resist extreme physical processes, the underlying danger “in total”, is multiple of what is expected. Therefore, studying of this phenomenon is so important in many areas. Because of the climate conditions, geologic and geomorphologic characteristics of the region, the purpose of this study was the landslide hazard assessment by using Fuzzy Logic, Frequency Ratio and Analytical Hierarchy Process method in the Evritania prefecture. At first, landslides occurring in Evritania prefecture, were identified using a landslide database from Institute of Geology & Mineral exploration of Greece and by primary field studies. The influence landslide factors used in this study were slope, aspect, elevation, lithology, precipitation, land cover, distance from faults and distance from rivers, were obtained from different sources and maps. Using these factors and the identified landslides, the fuzzy membership values were calculated by frequency ratio. Then, to account for the importance of each of the parameters in the landslide susceptibility, weights of each factor were determined based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. Finally, fuzzy map of each factor was multiplied to its weight that obtained using AHP method and at the end—for computing prediction accuracy—the produced map was verified by comparing to existing landslide locations. These results indicate that the three methods Fuzzy Logic, Frequency Ratio and Analytical Hierarchy Process method are relatively good estimators of landslide susceptibility in the study area. Electrical and electronic devices are becoming an increasingly important part of our society. In Africa, and in Senegal in particular, the handling and management of electronic and electrical equipment (EEE) that has reached the end of its life is mainly informal. This professional environment is characterized by the disintegration of the sector and the social heterogeneity that can be found there. The objective of this study is to assess the standard of living of electrical and electronic equipment waste handlers in the Dakar region, as well as their perception of their health. A survey was used to obtain information on sociodemographic background, living arrangements, perception of health status, and good practices to be implemented in case of work-related health problems. Life style, perception of general health and health problems were ranged as excellent, very good, good, average and poor. Informal recyclers in the Dakar region lived mainly in rooms and buildings as tenants (49.1%), or in family homes (48.4%) before starting this activity, and 51.2% continue to live in rooms and buildings as tenants compared to 41.4% who still live in a family home. The perception of health status ranged from poor to excellent, and 4.9% believe that they are limited in work due to a disability or health problem. Informal work is a heterogeneous phenomenon that makes research and policymaking particularly complex. There are several external factors within informal WEEE re-cyclers that can cause health problems or functional disability. However, the living conditions and the perception they have of their state of health are contradictory to the working conditions and the social environment to which they belong. A biomedical approach would consolidate these achievements by confirming or invalidating them.

Chickpea yield is decreasing day by day due to drought stress,which could be an immense risk for future food security in developing *** practices could be the most excellent approach to diminish loss due to this abiotic *** current research work was designed to explore the tolerance reaction of chickpea genotypes against management practices,through morphological and biochemical parameters and evaluate yield performance across drought prone location of *** genotypes BD-6048,BD-6045,BD-6090,BD-6092 and eight management practices,e.g.,severe water stress(SWS),i.e.,without irrigation,10 cm thick mulching with rice straw(MRS),10 cm thick mulching with water hyacinth(MWH),organic amendment through compost(OAC)@3 t ha−1,organic amendment through cow dung@5 t ha−1(OACD),organic amendment through poultry manure@2 t ha−1(OAPM),inorganic amendment through proline application(IAPA)as foliar spray and 16 h hydro-priming(HP).The study revealed that the genotypes BD-6048 showed excellent performance because of the highest chlorophyll,carotenoids,phosphorus,potassium,proline and protein *** highest pod number plant−1 also increased seed yield in *** management practices,IAPA increased relative water content,carotenoids,leaf phosphorus and potassium compared to other management practices and severe water ***,BD-6084 was selected as best genotype because of a significant increase in chlorophyll a and b,carotenoids,and relative water content with *** top performing genotypes can be used for releasing variety and cultivated for sustainable production in drought prone area of Bangladesh.
