Background:Previous studies have reported associations of specific maternal and paternal lifestyle factors with offspring’s cognitive development during early *** study aimed to investigate the prospective associations between overall parental lifestyle and offspring’s cognitive performance during adolescence and young adulthood in ***:We included 2531 adolescents aged 10-15 years at baseline in 2010 from the China Family panel Studies.A healthy parental lifestyle score(ranged 0-5)was constructed based on the following five modifiable lifestyle factors:Smoking,drinking,exercise,sleep,and *** estimating equation models were used to examine the association between baseline parental healthy lifestyle scores and offspring’s fluid and crystallized intelligence in subsequent years(2012,2014,2016,and 2018).Results:Offspring in the top tertile of parental healthy lifestyle scores performed better in overall fluid intelligence(multivariable-adjusted β=0.53,95%confidence interval[CI]:0.29-0.77)and overall crystallized intelligence(multivariable-adjusted β=0.35,95%CI:0.16-0.54)than those in the bottom tertile of parental healthy lifestyle *** results were similar after further adjustment for the offspring’s healthy lifestyle scores and persisted across the subgroups of parental socioeconomic ***,maternal and paternal healthy lifestyle scores were independently associated with better offspring’s cognitive performance,with significant contribution observed for paternal never-smoking,weekly exercise,and diversified *** both parents and offspring adhered to a healthier lifestyle,we observed the highest level of the offspring’s overall crystallized ***:Our study indicates that parental adherence to a healthier lifestyle is associated with significantly better offspring’s cognitive performance during adolescence and early adulthood,regardless of socioeconomic *** findings highlight the poten

The Rural Minimum Living Standard Guarantee(Rural Dibao)is an important unconditional cash transfer program to alleviate poverty in rural *** the importance of children’s nutrition in breaking poverty cycles,little is known about the impact of Rural Dibao on child nutrition *** China Family panel Studies(CFPS),this paper examines the effects of Rural Dibao on child nutrition outcomes and investigates potential pathways and heterogeneous *** exploit propensity score matching and difference-in-differences techniques to evaluate the effects of the Rural Dibao program on child nutrition *** results suggest that Rural Dibao significantly impacts the nutrition outcomes of children up to 15 years of ***,our results suggest that Rural Dibao improves child height-to-age z-scores by 1.05 standard deviations and lowers the probability of stunting by 11.9 percentage *** analyses suggest that increased protein intake is the main pathway through which Rural Dibao participation contributes to better nutrition *** also find that the effect of the program is more pronounced among girls,children who are non-left-behind or live with highly educated mothers,and those from low-income families and poor *** findings suggest that Rural Dibao participation helps improve child nutrition outcomes through improving diet quality.

背景中国全科医生越来越期望能够识别和预防抑郁障碍,但其接受的心理健康培训有限,社区卫生服务中心(CHCs)也缺乏针对抑郁障碍的诊断和服务规范。WHO《心理健康差距干预指南》第2版(mhGAP-IG.v2)是为非心理健康专业人员提供的决策支持工具,可用于评估、管理、随访精神障碍、神经疾病及物质使用障碍患者。鉴于mhGAP-IG.v2的通用性,其在中国的应用应根据抑郁障碍在不同文化下的差异性和中国心理健康系统特点进行调整。方法开展两轮基于网络的德尔菲(Delphi)调查。邀请来自深圳市的全科医生小组对mhGAP-IG.v2中涉及抑郁障碍的199条表述进行五分制的赞同程度打分,即“如要把该表述用在深圳市,是否赞同调整其内容和结构”。如果>80%的全科医生“有些/肯定赞同”调整某表述,则视为全科医生对调整该表述达成共识;如果>80%的全科医生“有些/肯定不赞同”调整某表述,则视为全科医生对不调整该表述达成共识。结果全科医生对79%的表述达成了需要调整的共识,平均得分为4.26分,即全科医生“有些赞同”对mh GAP-IG.v2中涉及抑郁障碍的相关表述进行调整。具体调整建议包括:抑郁评估方法应考虑更广泛的抑郁症状,并考虑病情的发展阶段;增加抑郁筛查工具的使用指南;明确全科医生的作用,以及家庭参与和跨部门服务的转诊途径;药物治疗建议应与中国用药规范保持一致;指南所有章节要强调预防自杀;情境化健康教育;强调“以人为本”的服务方法。全科医生认为,应维持mhGAP-IG.v2中对经历抑郁发作的双相障碍患者的诊断和治疗建议。结论对mhGAP-IG.v2抑郁部分的调整研究反映出对指南的评估应考虑文化和国情背景,包括中国特色的初级卫生保健系统、健康优先领域、治疗可得性,以及多样化的社会心理教育需要。调整后的mhGAP-IG.v2可以给中国全科医学教育和全科医疗服务提供参考,也可以为其他国家的非精神病学专业人员开展心理健康服务提供有益借鉴。

Does community-based health insurance affect lifestyle and timing of treatment seeking behavior?Evidence from Ethiopia

Objectives This paper aims to investigate the effects of enrollment in the Ethiopian community-based health insurance(CBHI)scheme on household preventive care activities and the timing of treatment-seeking behavior for illness *** is growing concern about the financial sustainability of CBHI schemes in developing ***,few empirical studies have identified potential contributors,including ex-ante and ex-post moral *** We implement a household fixed-effect panel data regression model,drawing on three rounds of household survey data collected face to face in districts where CBHI scheme is operational and in districts where it is not operational in *** The findings show that enrolment in CBHI does not significantly influence household behaviour regarding preventive care activities such as water treatment before drinking and handwashing before ***,CBHI significantly increases delay in treatment-seeking behaviour for diseases ***,on average,we estimate about 4-6 h delay for malaria symptoms,a little above 4 h for tetanus,and 10-11 h for tuberculosis among the insured *** While there is evidence that CBHI improve the utilization of outpatient or primary care services,our study suggests that insured members may wait longer before visiting health *** delay could be partly due to moral hazard problems,as insured households,particularly those from rural areas,may consider the opportunity costs associated with visiting health facilities for minor ***,it is essential to identify the primary causes of delays in seeking medical services and implement appropriate interventions to encourage insured individuals to seek early medical attention.

Over the past few decades,the Internet has rapidly diffused across *** spread of the Internet has had a profound economic and social impact on Chinese rural *** research shows that Internet access significantly impacts agricultural production and improves smallholder farmers’*** these,the Internet can affect other dimensions of social ***,research about the impact of Internet access on dietary quality in rural China remains *** study utilizes multi-period panel data from Fixed Observation Point in rural China from 2009 to 2015 to estimate the impact of Internet access on dietary quality and food consumption of rural households and conducts a causal *** models with time and household fixed effects allow robust estimation while reducing potential issues of unobserved *** estimates show that Internet access has significantly increased rural household dietary quality(measured by the Chinese Diet Balance Index).Further research finds that Internet access has increased the consumption of animal products,such as aquatic and dairy *** also examine the underlying *** access improves dietary quality and food consumption mainly through increasing household income and food *** results encourage the promotion of Internet access as a valuable tool for nutritional improvements,especially in rural areas.
