Purpose Understanding the desired attributes for talented soccer players may give insight into the process of(de)selection and player *** study aimed to explore soccer academy personnel’s perceptions of attributes associated with talent and *** Thirty English and Scottish academy personnel(managers,coaches,recruitment,sports scientists)provided per-ceptions into what attributes contribute to‘talent’,via an online *** an E-Delphi method,seven experts refined these inputs over several rounds until a consensus was reached,resulting in 82 agreed *** terminology was resubmitted via a second online survey,where 45 academy personnel rated each using a Likert *** A ranking of attributes by importance was produced,finding Psychological and Technical/Tactical attributes con-sidered of greatest *** were observed,whereby recruitment personnel consistently over-emphasised the importance of several attributes compared to other personnel(P=0.02-0.04).When analyzed within each age phase,11 variations in the perceived importance of attributes were demonstrated in the youth phase(11-16 years,P=0.01)compared with 5 in the professional phases(17-23 years,P=0.01-0.05)Conclusion The present study demonstrates that‘talent’requires multifaceted developments,with academy personnel per-ceiving psychological attributes the most important contributor to development.

The world's greatest professional football players are able to execute effective tactical decisions as well as fulfil various physical ***,the degree to which both are associated with greater potential in a football academy is ***,the aim of this study was to investigate decision-making skill and physical performance as contributing factors to coach potential rankings in an English football ***-eight outfield academy players(Foundation Development Phase[FDP]under-9 to under-11 n=40;Youth Development Phase[YDP]under-12 to under-16 n=58)participated in the *** engaged in 45 film-based simulations at two occlusion phases(e.g.,the visual display is cut-off at a precise time during an action),firstly"during"and secondly"post"execution,to examine decision-making *** also completed four fitness tests to examine physical performance.A classification of"higher-potentials"(top third)and"lower-potentials"(bottom third)were applied through coach *** t-tests compared the decision-making and physical performance ***-potentials made significantly more accurate decisions within the"post"phase within the FDP(Pfootball potential may be associated with superior perceptual-cognitive expertise and quicker sprint ability in both academy age phases,with a greater discriminatory function within the older cohort.

Purpose Sled towing has been shown to be an effective method to enhance the physical qualities in youth *** aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of a 6-week sled towing intervention on muscular strength,speed and power in elite youth soccer players of differing maturity *** Seventy-three male elite youth soccer players aged 12-18 years(Pre-Peak Height Velocity[PHV]n = 25;Circa-PHV n = 24;Post-PHV n = 24)from one professional soccer academy participated in this *** assessments(10 m and 30 m),countermovement jump and isometric mid-thigh pull were undertaken before(T1)and after(T2)a 6-week *** training intervention consisted of 6 weeks(2xper week,10 sprints over 20 m distance)of resisted sled towing(linear progression 10%-30%of body mass)during the competitive *** regression models analysed differences between T1 and T2 within each maturity *** There were minimal changes in strength,speed and power(P=0.35-0.80)for each maturity group across the 6-week *** there were changes with greater certainty,they are unlikely to represent real effect due to higher regres-sion to the mean(RTM).Conclusion It appears that a 6-week sled towing training programme with loadings of 10%-30%body mass only maintains physical qualities in elite youth soccer players pre-,circa-,and *** research is required to determine the effectiveness of this training method in long-term athletic development programmes.

AIM To review current literature on types of distal triceps injuryand determine diagnosis and appropriate *** We performed a systematic review in PubM ed, Cochrane and EMBASE using the terms distal triceps tears and snapping triceps on the 10 th January 2017. We excluded all animal, review, foreign language and repeat papers. We reviewed all papers for relevance and of the papers left we were able to establish the types of distal triceps injury, how these injuries are diagnosed and investigated and the types of management of these injuries including surgical. The results are then presented in a review paper *** Three hundred and seventy-nine papers were identified of which 65 were relevant to distal triceps injuries. After exclusion we had 47 appropriate papers. The papers highlighted 2 main distal triceps injuries: Distal triceps tears and snapping triceps. Triceps tear are more common in males than females occurring in the 4th-5th decade of life and often due to a direct trauma but are also strongly associated with weightlifting and American football. The tears are diagnosed by history and clinically with a palpable gap. Diagnosis can be confirmed with the use of ultrasound(US) and magnetic resonance imaging. Treatment depends on type of tear. Partial tears can be treated conservatively with bracing and physio whereas acute tears need repair either open or arthroscopic using suture anchor or bone tunnel techniques with similar success. Chronic tears often need augmenting with tendon allograft or autograft. Snapping triceps are also seen more in men than women but at a mean age of 32 years. They are characterized by a snapping sensation mostly medially and can be associated with ulna nerve subluxation and ulna nerve symptoms. US is the diagnostic modality of choice due to its dynamic nature and to differentiate between snapping triceps tendon or ulna nerve. Decision Support System for emergency scheduling of raw water supply systems with multiple sources

A hydraulic model-based emergency schedul- ing Decision Support System （DSS） is designed to eliminate the impact of sudden contamination incidents occurring upstream in raw water supply systems with multiple sources. The DSS consists of four functional modules, including water quality prediction, system safety assessment, emergency strategy inference and scheduling optimization. The work flow of the DSS is as follows. First, the water quality variations on specific cross-sections are calculated given the pollution information. Next, a comprehensive evaluation on the safety of the current system is conducted using the outputs in the first module. This will assist in the assessment of whether the system is in danger of failure, taking both the impact of pollution and system capacity into account. If there is a severe impact of contamination on the reliability of the system, a fuzzy logic based inference module is employed to generate reason- able strategies including technical measures. Otherwise, a Genetic Algorithm （GA）-based optimization model will be used to find the least-cost scheduling plan. The proposed DSS has been applied to a coastal city in South China during a saline tide period as validation. Through scenario analysis, it is demonstrated that this DSS tool is instrumental in emergency scheduling for the water company to quickly and effectively respond to sudden contamination incidents.

This article takes its cue from the English critic, novelist and painter John Berger. He argues that what we know determines what we see. Hotels and railway stations, though they differ in size, design and appearance, are places of temporary national and international congress that are recognized by everyone. They become visible or even iconic once their history or their role is turned into at least part of a wider narrative in literature, film or in other arts. This provides a representative focus by which we may read a city＇s or a nation＇s past. In exemplifying such connections I focus first on the long-term history of Friedrichstraβe station and some of the surrounding hotels in the context of the history of Berlin, situating them within the national and, by implication, also the international context. Secondly, I will consider the outbreak of the First World War in 1914 as an event in which the role of railway stations generated both personal and collective memories across cultures and over several decades.

背景英国国家卫生与临床优化研究所(NICE)指南强调了医患沟通和信任在全科医生管理情感问题患者时的重要性,而在临床实践中,良好的医患沟通和医患信任的建立很难实现。英国国家医疗服务体系目前面临的压力表明,很有必要从患者角度来看医疗服务的情况。本研究旨在对情感问题患者的基层就诊经历进行分析,以找出其在向全科医生就诊时所重视的服务。方法将18例因情感问题而向全科医生就诊的成年患者分为4个焦点小组并进行小组访谈。对访谈结果进行主题分析。结果访谈结果表明,患者认为在其就诊过程中全科医生起到了以下3种作用:(1)药物作用:患者认为良好的医患关系起到了治疗作用,而这种关系的持续性特别重要。(2)侦探和验证者的作用:患者常对症状感到困惑,无法认识自己的情感问题。全科医生在接诊过程中要像侦探一样对患者产生症状的原因进行调查,在调查时不仅要考虑症状问题,还要考虑到患者个人及其生活环境因素。全科医生在帮助患者理解和确认其情感问题过程中起到了至关重要的作用。(3)合作者:患者更希望和医生是合作伙伴关系,但是通常其会因为觉得太不舒服而放弃合作,或者是感到全科医生因为能力不足或压力太大很难对其提供帮助时,自己更主动一些。患者所重视的服务为全科医生为其预约随访并帮助其认识生活环境的压力,而不仅是提供药物治疗。结论耻辱感和对情感症状的不了解给情感问题患者的就诊带来了障碍。全科医生可通过对患者产生症状的原因(包括患者的生活背景)进行充分调查并进行验证来了解患者的情感问题。治疗方法和医患信任在进行调查和验证的过程中形成。医患信任关系强调医生与患者共情、医生理解患者,这样可以使患者更愿意参与治疗。这个过程是循环递进性的,当患者感到全科医生对其关心、感兴趣,而且对其进行以人为本的治疗时,其对医生的信任会获得进一步的增强。NICE指南应认识到在建立有效的医患关系时,医生共情和验证能力的重要性及其在促进患者参与治疗中的作用。

Purpose: The purpose of the present controlled cross-sectional study was to investigate proximal femur and whole-body bone mineral density(BMD), as well as bone turnover profile, in lifelong trained elderly male football players and young elite football players compared with untrained age-matched ***: One hundred and forty healthy, non-smoking men participated in the study, including lifelong trained football players(FTE, n = 35)aged 65—80 years, elite football players(FTY, n = 35) aged 18—30 years, as well as untrained age-matched elderly(UE, n = 35) and young(UY,n = 35) men.
