Objective： To differentiate patients with esophageal cancer or premalignant lesions from the high-risk population for preliminary screening of esophageal cancer using a feature index determined by a computer-aided tongue information acquisition and processing system （DS01-B）. Methods： Totally, 213 patients diagnosed with esophageal cancer or premalignant lesions and 2,840 normal subjects were collected including primarily screened and reexamined, all of them were confirmed with histological examinations. Their tongue color space values and manifestation features were extracted by DS01-B and analyzed. Firstly, the analysis of variance was performed to differentiate normal subjects from patients with esophageal cancer and premalignant lesions. Secondly, the logistic regression was conducted using 10 features and gender, age to get a predictive equation of the possibility of esophageal cancer or premalignant lesions. Lastly, the equation was tested by subjects undergoing primary screening. Results： Saturation （S） values in the HSV color space showed significant differences between patients with esophageal cancer and normal subjects or those with mild atypical hyperplasia （P〈0.05）; blue-to-yellow （b） values in the Lab color space showed significant differences between patients with esophageal cancer or premalignant lesions and normal subjects （P〈0.05）. Logistic regression analysis showed that the computer-aided tongue inspection approach had an accuracy of 72.3% （2008/2776） in identifying patients with esophageal cancer or premalignant lesions for preliminary screening in high-risk population. Conclusion： Computer-aided tongue inspection, with descriptive and quantitative profile as described in this study, could be applied as a cost- and time- efficient, non-invasive approach for preliminary screening of esophageal cancer in high-risk population.

AIM:To identify the mucosal patterns of Helicobacter pylori(*** )-related gastritis in the gastric corpus using standard endoscopy and to evaluate their ***:A total of 112 consecutive patients underwent upper gastrointestinal *** endoscopists classified the endoscopic findings into 4 *** the second part of the study,90 images were shown to 3 endoscopists in order to evaluate the inter-observer and intra-observer variability in image ***:The mucosal patterns of the gastric bodywere categorized into 4 *** 1 pattern was defined as cleft-like appearance,type 2 as regular arrangement of red dots,type 3 pattern as the mosaic mucosal pattern and type 4 pattern as the mosaic pattern with a focal area of *** 1 and type 2 mucosal patterns were statistically significant in predicting *** status as compared with other mucosal types(χ 2 = 12.79 and 61.25 respectively,P < 0.01).Type 3 and type 4 mucosal patterns were statistically significant in predicting a ***-positive status as compared with other mucosal types(χ 2 = 21.22 and 11.02 respectively,P < 0.01).Furthermore,the sensitivity,specificity,positive and negative predictive values of type 3 plus type 4 patterns for predicting ***-positive gastric mucosa were 100%,86%,94%,and 100%,*** mean κ values for inter-and intra-observer agreement in assessing the various endoscopic patterns were 0.808(95% CI,0.678-0.938) and 0.826(95% CI,0.727-0.925) ***:Our study suggests that mucosal patterns in ***-infected gastric mucosa without atrophy can be reliably identified using standard endoscopy in the gastric corpus.

118 cases of ulcerative colitis were treated by integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. Another 86 cases of ulcerative colitis were treated by simple western drugs as controls. The therapeutic effects for both groups were observed and compared after two therapeutic courses of 40 consecutive days. As a result, 39 cases were cured, 60 cases improved and 19 cases failed, with a total effective rate of 84% in the treatment group; in the control group, 15 cases were cured, 37 cases improved and 34 cases failed, with a total effective rate of 60.5%. Our preliminary study found that the long noncoding RNA(LncRNA)-5657 can reduce the expression of inflammatory factors during inflammatory reactions in rat glial ***, the role played by LncRNA-5657 during septic brain injury remains *** the present study, rat models of septic encephalopathy were established by cecal ligation and puncture, and then the rats were treated with a hippocampal injection small hairpin RNA(sh RNA) against LncRNA-5657(sh-LnCRNA-5657).The sh-LncRNA-5657 treatment reduced the level of neuronal degeneration and necrosis in the rat hippocampus, reduced the immunoreactivities of aquaporin 4, heparanase, and metallopeptidase-9, and lowered the level of tumor necrosis *** cells were pre-treated with sh-LncRNA-5657 and then treated with 1 μg/mL ***-LncRNA-5657 transfection decreased the expression of LncRNA-5657 in lipopolysaccharide-treated glial cells and decreased the mRNA and protein levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha, interleukin-1β, and *** findings suggested that LncRNA-5657 expression can significantly reduce the inflammatory reaction during septic encephalopathy and induce protective effects against this *** study was approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee at the First Affiliated hospital of Nanchang University of China(approval No.2017-004) in 2017.

Fifty cases of acute pancreatitis (AP) were treated with LIYI TANG (Decoction for AP) as the treatment group, and the other 50 cases of the disease with Western drugs as the control group. The results of one-week clinical observation showed that, in the treatment group, 43 cases were cured, 3 markedly effective, 2 improved and 2 ineffective; while in the control group, 32 cases were cured, 5 markedly effective, 4 improved, and 9 ineffective, showing a statistically significant difference in therapeutic effects between the two groups (P< 0.05).
