BACKGROUND Equations for estimation glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)have been associated with poor clinical performance and their clinical accuracy and reliability have been called into *** To assess the longitudinal changes in measured glomerular filtration rate(mGFR)in patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease(ADPKD).METHODS Analysis of an ambispective data base conducted on consecutive patients diagnosed with *** mGFR was assessed by iohexol clearance;while eGFR was calculated by three different formulas:(1)The chronic kidney disease epidemiology collaboration(CKD-EPI);(2)Modification of diet in renal disease(MDRD);and(3)The 24-hour urine creatinine clearance(CrCl).The primary end-points were the mean change in mGFR between the baseline and final visit,as well as the comparison of the mean change in mGFR with the change estimated by the different *** Thirty-seven patients were included in the *** compared to baseline,month-6 mGFR was significantly decrease by-4.4 mL/minute±10.3 mL/minute(P=0.0132).However,the CKD-EPI,MDRD,and CrCl formulas underestimated this change by 48.3%,89.0%,and 45.8%respectively,though none of these differences reached statistical significance(P=0.3647;P=0.0505;and P=0.736,respectively).The discrepancies between measured and estimated glomerular filtration rate values,as evaluated by CKD-EPI(r=0.29,P=0.086);MDRD(r=0.19,P=0.272);and CrCl(r=0.09,P=0.683),were not correlated with baseline mGFR *** This study indicated that eGFR inaccurately reflects the decline in mGFR and cannot reliably track changes over *** poses significant challenges for clinical decision-making,particularly in treatment strategies.

Jet grouting is one of the most popular soil improvement techniques,but its design usually involves great uncertainties that can lead to economic cost overruns in construction *** high dispersion in the properties of the improved material leads to designers assuming a conservative,arbitrary and unjustified strength,which is even sometimes subjected to the results of the test *** present paper presents an approach for prediction of the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of jet grouting columns based on the analysis of several machine learning algorithms on a database of 854 results mainly collected from different research *** selected machine learning model(extremely randomized trees)relates the soil type and various parameters of the technique to the value of the compressive *** the complex mechanism that surrounds the jet grouting process,evidenced by the high dispersion and low correlation of the variables studied,the trained model allows to optimally predict the values of compressive strength with a significant improvement with respect to the existing ***,this work proposes for the first time a reliable and easily applicable approach for estimation of the compressive strength of jet grouting columns.

Shannon entropy for lower position and momentum eigenstates of Ptschl-Teller-like potential is evaluated. Based on the entropy densities demonstrated graphically, we note that the wave through of the position information entropy density p （x） moves right when the potential parameter V1 increases and its amplitude decreases. However, its wave through moves left with the increase in the potential parameter 丨V2丨. Concerning the momentum information entropy density p（p）, we observe that its amplitude increases with increasing potential parameter V1, but its amplitude decreases with increasing丨V2丨. The Bialynicki-Birula-Mycielski （BBM） inequality has also been tested for a number of states. Moreover, there exist eigenstates that exhibit squeezing in the momentum information entropy. Finally, we note that position information entropy increases with V1, but decreases with 丨V2丨, However, the variation of momentum information entropy is contrary to that of the position information entropy.

Background: Nutritional value of proteins in feed ingredients can be negatively affected by hydrothermal processing, which causes large variation in the bioavailability of amino acids(AA) and negatively affects animal productive performance. Supplementation of exogenous proteases could increase the rate of digestion of damaged proteins, thereby increasing overall AA digestibility and bioavailability. The aim was to determine the effect of exogenous protease supplementation on the apparent ileal digestibility(AID) of crude protein(CP) and AA of soybean meals(SBM) with different degrees of hydrothermal processing in ***: The experiment involved a 3 × 2 factorial arrangement, with SBM processing time(commercial SBM or autoclaved for 30 or 60 min at 120 ℃) and protease supplementation(not supplemented and supplemented) as factors. Protease was included at three times the recommended dose(0.06%) and the experimental diets were fed from 15 to 21 ***: The interaction between the effects of SBM processing and protease supplementation was significant for the AID of CP(P = 0.01), Trp(P = 0.01), Gly(P = 0.03) and Pro(P = 0.03), and also for the average daily gain(P = 0.01)and feed conversion ratio(P = 0.04). Increasing the processing time of SBM decreased(P < 0.0001) the AID of all amino acids, whilst the effect of protease supplementation was only significant for the AID of Phe(P = 0.02) and Tyr(P = 0.01).Conclusions: Exogenous protease supplementation at three times the commercial dose does not seem to offset the negative effects of hydrothermal processing of SBM on the apparent ileal digestibility of CP and amino acids or performance of broilers. Whilst positive numerical improvements of digestibility and performance(ADG and FCR)were noticed with protease supplementation at relatively mild processing levels, negative results were obtained with the harsh-processed meals.

Gamification has been applied in software engineering to improve quality and results by increasing people’s motivation and engagement.A systematic mapping has identified research gaps in the field,one of them being the difficulty of creating an integrated gamified environment comprising all the tools of an organization,since most existing gamified tools are custom developments or *** this paper,we propose a gamification software architecture that allows us to transform the work environment of a software organization into an integrated gamified environment,i.e.,the organization can maintain its tools,and the rewards obtained by the users for their actions in different tools will mount *** developed a gamification engine based on our proposal,and we carried out a case study in which we applied it in a real software development *** case study shows that the gamification engine has allowed the company to create a gamified workplace by integrating custom-developed tools and off-the-shelf tools such as Redmine,TestLink,or JUnit,with the gamification *** main advantages can be highlighted:(i)our solution allows the organization to maintain its current tools,and(ii)the rewards for actions in any tool accumulate in a centralized gamified environment.

In this paper,the influence of oxidation of automatic transmission fluids(ATFs)and sliding distance on the friction coefficients of a wet clutch in approached running-in conditions was *** ATFs were oxidized by a laboratory process approaching oxidation occurred in actual *** was evaluated by means of increase in carbonyl compounds and depletion of zinc dialkyldithiophosphates(ZDDPs)***,the changes in kinematic viscosity and viscosity index were ***-ondisk tests were conducted to replicate the actual sliding contact in a wet *** pin specimens were cut from friction material composite plates and the disks were actual steel separators both from an automotive wet *** coefficient, μ,was measured at progressive sliding velocity,ν,to obtain μ–νcurves at 26 and 100°*** μ–νtests were consecutively run using the same pair of specimens and *** cumulative sliding distance for each μ–νtest generated surface flattening using the *** friction coefficients of the wet clutch increased due to the ATFs oxidation meanwhile the dm/dv values decreased in most *** suggests that ATF oxidation can enhance torque capacity of the wet clutch,but it could reduce anti-shudder *** sliding distance improved the slopes in the μ–νresults using fresh ATFs meanwhile it generated a slope decrease by using aged ATFs.

We report the synthesis ofZnO nanowires grown on glass by spin coating and using a commercial microwave oven. 10 mM solutions of zinc acetate dehydrate and 12propanol were spin coated on glass at 2000 rpm for 60 s. A seed layer was obtained after three layers of spin coating. Vertical ZnO nanowires were then grown by dipping the substrate in an equimolar solution of zinc nitrate hexahydrate and hexamethylenetetramine subsequently, films were heated with a commercially microwave oven at different power settings （140, 350 and 700 W）. The ZnO nanowires were characterized optically and morphologically. Scanning electron microscopy analysis showed that the size of ZnO nanowires was 50 nm in diameter and 500 nm in length. XRD patterns and IR spectra revealed the presence of Zn（OH）2 on the films, when low power in the microwave oven was utilized. The ZnO nanowires bandgap energy was obtained from optical transmission spectra.

Different La2O3 contents（0, 1, 2, 3, and 5 wt%） were used to prepared La2O3-ZrO2 mixed oxides calcined at 600 ℃ by the sol-gel method. The catalytic activity was measured as biodiesel production from canola oil through a transesterification reaction. The characterization results indicate that the La2O3 monolayer formation and extent of basicity of m-ZrO2 have a large influence on biodiesel *** biodiesel conversion（56% at 4 h） was obtained with the 3% La2O3-ZrO2 catalyst in the presence of basic sites and the formation of a monolayer of La2O3. The decrease in the catalytic activity for 5% La2O3-ZrO2 resulted from the loss of active sites on the catalyst because of agglomeration, which was suggested by XPS and the isoelectric point. The kinetic data fit to a pseudo-first order constant, and the largest kinetic constant corresponds to 3% La2O3-ZrO2, currently the largest heterogeneous non-alkaline metal catalyst reported for a transesterification reaction.
