Applying a Context-based Method to Build a Knowledge Graph for the Blue Amazon

Knowledge graphs are employed in several tasks,such as question answering and recommendation systems,due to their ability to represent relationships between *** constructing such a graphs,however,remains an unresolved challenge within knowledge *** tackle this challenge,we propose CtxKG,a method specifically aimed at extracting knowledge graphs in a context of limited resources in which the only input is a set of unstructured text *** is based on OpenIE(a relationship triple extraction method)and BERt(a language model)and contains four stages:the extraction of relationship triples directly from text;the identification of synonyms across triples;the merging of similar entities;and the building of bridges between knowledge graphs of different *** method distinguishes itself from those in the current literature(i)through its use of the parse tree to avoid the overlapping entities produced by base implementations of OpenIE;and(ii)through its bridges,which create a connected network of graphs,overcoming a limitation similar methods have of one isolated graph per *** compare our method to two others by generating graphs for movie articles from Wikipedia and contrasting them with benchmark graphs built from the OMdb movie *** results suggest that our method is able to improve multiple aspects of knowledge graph *** also highlight the critical role that triple identification and named-entity recognition have in improving the quality of automatically generated graphs,suggesting future paths for ***,we apply CtxKG to build BlabKG,a knowledge graph for the Blue Amazon,and discuss possible improvements.

Recognition of Human Actions through Speech or Voice Using Machine Learning techniques

the development of artificial intelligence(AI)and smart home technologies has driven the need for speech recognition-based *** demand stems from the quest for more intuitive and natural interaction between users and smart devices in their *** recognition allows users to control devices and perform everyday actions through spoken commands,eliminating the need for physical interfaces or touch screens and enabling specific tasks such as turning on or off the light,heating,or lowering the *** purpose of this study is to develop a speech-based classification model for recognizing human actions in the smart *** seeks to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of using machine learning techniques in predicting categories,subcategories,and actions from sentences.A dataset labeled with relevant information about categories,subcategories,and actions related to human actions in the smart home is *** methodology uses machine learning techniques implemented in Python,extracting features using CountVectorizer to convert sentences into numerical *** results show that the classification model is able to accurately predict categories,subcategories,and actions based on sentences,with 82.99%accuracy for category,76.19%accuracy for subcategory,and 90.28%accuracy for *** study concludes that using machine learning techniques is effective for recognizing and classifying human actions in the smart home,supporting its feasibility in various scenarios and opening new possibilities for advanced natural language processing systems in the field of AI and smart homes.

diabetic retinopathy (dR) is a complication of diabetesmellitus thatappears in the retina. Clinitians use retina images to detect dR pathologicalsigns related to the occlusion of tiny blood vessels. Such occlusion brings adegenerative cycle between the breaking off and the new generation of thinnerand weaker blood vessels. this research aims to develop a suitable retinalvasculature segmentation method for improving retinal screening proceduresby means of computer-aided diagnosis systems. the blood vessel segmentationmethodology relies on an effective feature selection based on SequentialForward Selection, using the error rate of a decision tree classifier in theevaluation function. Subsequently, the classification process is performed bythree alternative approaches: artificial neural networks, decision trees andsupport vector machines. the proposed methodology is validated on threepublicly accessible datasets and a private one provided by Hospital Sant Joanof Reus. In all cases we obtain an average accuracy above 96% with a sensitivityof 72% in the blood vessel segmentation process. Compared with the state-ofthe-art, our approach achieves the same performance as other methods thatneed more computational *** method significantly reduces the numberof features used in the segmentation process from 20 to 5 dimensions. theimplementation of the three classifiers confirmed that the five selected featureshave a good effectiveness, independently of the classification algorithm.

Crosslinked poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)based composite films were prepared as polyelectrolyte membranes for low temperature direct ethanol fuel cells(dEFC).the membranes were functionalised by means of the addition of graphene oxide(GO)and sulfonated graphene oxide(SGO)and crosslinked with sulfosuccinic acid(SSA).the chemical structure was corroborated and suitable thermal properties were *** the addition of GO and SGO slightly decreased the proton conductivity of the membranes,a significant reduction of the ethanol solution swelling and crossover was encountered,more relevant for those functionalised with *** general,the composite membranes were stable under simulated service *** addition of GO and SGO particles permitted to buffer the loss and almost retain similar proton conductivity than prior to *** membranes are alternative polyelectrolytes,which overcome current concerns of actual commercial membranes such as the high cost or the crossover phenomenon.

Suitability of Blends from Virgin and Reprocessed Polylactide: Performance and Energy Valorization Kinet

A blending strategy of virgin and reprocessed polylactide may be postulated as an alternative to reduce the material cost at industrial level,and as a valorization route to plastic waste management of production *** performance of blends prepared from virgin polylactide and polylactide mechanically reprocessed up to two cycles(PLA-V/R)was assessed in terms of thermo-oxidative stability,morphology,viscoelasticity and thermal kinetics for energetic ***-V/R blends showed appropriate thermo-oxidative *** amorphous nature of polylactide was preserved after *** viscoelastic properties showed an increment of the mechanical blend effectiveness,which suggested the feasibility of using PLA-V/R blends under similar mechanical conditions to those of virgin PLA ***,it was shown that the energetic valorization of PLA-V/R blends would result in a more feasible process,due to the lower required activation energy,thus highlighting the advantages of the energetic demand for the *** conclusion,PLA-V/R blends showed similar processability,service performance and valorization routes as virgin PLA and therefore could be relevant in the sustainable circular industry of bioplastics.

the construction of the concept of Latin America has been through different processes regarding its structure and acceptance,from the colonial period to the automatic realignment to the United States,with rare exceptions,and a reorganization with the emergence of multilateralism and the multipolar *** abstraction,hitherto almost an axiom in the subcontinent,that it is a western region,leads us to the elaboration of this article,which seeks to present Latin America's post-western and de-westernized character in an environment of restructuration of its political economy,its actors,scenarios and,finally,***,we present here a review of the state of the art political economy of Latin America and its perspectives in this shifting world,especially in the context of the COVId-19 pandemic.

ntegrated approach to winery waste： waste generation and data consolidation

the winemaking process involves the genera- tion of a significant amount of waste and wastewater. these residues should be addressed for recycling or treatment before being returned to environment. As each winery is unique in waste generation and disposal, plans for environmentally friendly waste management are not universal and should be tested for their effectiveness. In this study, a diagnostic was made during three years, in different wineries, throughout Portugal, in order to quantify and characterize the waste and the wastewater produced. the results showed that solid waste and wastewater are mainly produced during the harvest period, corresponding to 74% and 87%, respectively. One ton of processed grape approximately produce 0.13 t marc, 0.06 t lees, 0.03 t of stalks and 1.65 m3 of wastewater. No significant differences （P≤0.05） were observed for grape marc, lees and wastewater ratios, between years or wineries. With respect to the stalk ratio, there was no effect of year but the winery significantly affected this ratio （P ≤ 0.05）. during the study period the treated wastewater, since diluted, revealed suitable characteristics for irrigation representing an additional source of water. In this regard, the data acquisition and consolidation ensure the transfer of information and experience which constitute an essential step in a support decision tool design.
