The headrace of the Inga hydropower complex is experiencing siltation problems, reducing the exploitable draft and limiting the production capacity of the two main Inga hydropower plants during the low water period. During the 2019 low water period, several sediment slumps occurred in the Shongo basin, disrupting the production of hydroelectric power generated by the Inga 1 & 2 power plant, resulting in massive load shedding of power supply to downstream customers. The cardinal aim of this study is to determine the quantities of sediments deposited and those eroded, in order to know the evolution of sedimentation in the Shongo basin from February 2020 to May 2021. The results obtained show that the running index of the generating units is determinant and influences the sedimentation process in the Shongo basin. The cleaning of the Shongo basin in terms of the spatial distribution of sedimentation from February 2020 to May 2021 is plausible.

The mechanical properties and acoustic emission characteristics of thick hard roof sandstone were investigated. Samples were taken from the 30.87-m thick sandstone roof in a mine in the Shengdong coal field, China. Firstly, the composition and microscopic characteristics were analyzed by XRD and FE-SEM, respectively. Moreover, the indirect tensile test, uniaxial compression test, three axis compression experiment and AE test are carried out by using RMT-150C mechanics experiment system with DS5-8B AE test system. The experiment results indicate that the main framework particles of sandstone are quartz and feldspar, and mainly quartz. Cements are mainly pyrite, kaolinite, chlorite and zeolite cross needle, clinochlore, and clay minerals. The microstructure of sandstone is very dense, with few pores and high cementation degree. The tensile strength, compressive strength and elastic modulus of sandstone are 4.825, 85.313 MPa, 13.814 GPa, respectively, so the sandstone belongs to hard rock. The AE cumulative counts of sandstone can be divided into three phases: relatively flat growth period, rapid growth period and spurt period. The signal strength of AE waveform can be used as a warning signal. In the tensile fracture zone, the warning value is 0.4 mV, and in the compression shear failure zone, it is 4 mV. The numbers of cumulative counts of AE under different stress conditions have obvious difference. Moreover, the growth of cumulative counts of acoustic emission is more obvious when the stress is more than 60% of the peak stress.

Amorphous silicon(a-Si) is one of the most promising anode-materials for the lithium-ion battery owing to its large capacity and superior fracture ***,a-Si is usually fabricated with the sophisticated chemical vapor deposition or pulse laser deposition in a limited *** this work,we have succes s fully pre pared a-Si spheres(~200 nm) by reducing the TiO2-coated silica spheres with Al powders in the molten salts at 300℃.The coated TiO2 layer acts as a protective layer for structural maintenance during the reduction and a precursor for *** doped Ti element may suppress the crystal growth of Si to facilitate the formation of *** observation with in-situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM) further reveals that lithiation kinetics of the synthesized a-Si is controlled by the interfacial *** Li^(+) diffusivity in a-Si determined from the observation is in the order of 10^(-14) cm^(2)/*** anode of a-Si spheres together with crystalline Si nanoparticles exhibits excellent electrochemical performance,delivering a reversible capacity of 1604 mAh/g at 4 A/g and a capacity retention of 78,3%after 500 *** low temperature reduction process reported in this study provides a low-cost method to fabricate a-Si nanostructures as high-capacity durable anode materials.

City spirit is the soul of the *** spread of city spirit not only could establish a civilized specimen for citizens,but also create a good cultural atmosphere for the *** residents’perception of city spirit is extensive,and most of Hefei citizens consider the expression words of city spirit are very appropriate,which is enlightened,open-minded,actual and *** majority of Hefei citizens willing to support the propaganda and promotion of the city spirit,and they think the promotion of the city spirit plays a key role in the way of city’s *** addition,significant differences in the perception of urban spirituality emerge among residents with different economic and social *** are four aspects about how to enhance the public perception of city spirit,which including increasing dissemination channels and means,strengthening guidance according to the difference of residents,encouraging participation of community residents,and building good atmosphere depending on the city’s advantages.

Noble metal is usually used to improve the gas sensing performance of metal oxide semiconductor(MOS)due to its better catalytic *** this work,we reported a synthesis of Pd/ZnO nanocomposite by an in situ reduction with ascorbic acid(AA).It was found that Pd/ZnO sensor has excellent selectivity to CO and the response of the Pd/ZnO sensor towards 100 ppm CO was as high as 15(Ra/Rg),obviously higher than that of the pristine ZnO sensor(1.4)when the working temperature is 220℃.Moreover,the pure ZnO sensor almost has no selectivity to CO,but the Pd/ZnO sensor has excellent selectivity to CO,which may be ascribed to the electronic sensitization of *** present results demonstrate that the Pd can significantly improve the gas-sensing performance of metal oxide semiconductor and the obtained sensor has great potential in monitoring coal mine gas.

We study a class of deep neural networks with architectures that form a directed acyclic graph(DAG).For backpropagation defined by gradient descent with adaptive momentum,we show weights converge for a large class of nonlinear activation functions.'The proof generalizes the results of Wu et al.(2008)who showed convergence for a feed-forward network with one hidden *** an example of the effectiveness of DAG architectures,we describe an example of compression through an AutoEncoder,and compare against sequential feed-forward networks under several metrics.

To reduce the variations of the production process in penicillin cultivations, a rolling multivariate statis-tical approach based on multiway principle component analysis (MPCA) is developed and used for fault diagnosis of penicillin cultivations. Using the moving data windows technique, the static MPCA is extended for use in dy-namic process performance monitoring. The control chart is set up using the historical data collected from the past successful batches, thereby resulting in simplification of monitoring charts, easy tracking of the progress in each batch run, and monitoring the occurrence of the observable upsets. Data from the commercial-scale penicillin fer-mentation process are used to develop the rolling model. Using this method, faults are detected in real time and the corresponding measurements of these faults are directly made through inspection of a few simple plots (t-chart, SPE-chart, and T2-chart). Thus, the present methodology allows the process operator to actively monitor the data from several cultivations simultaneously.

In recent years, Dechloranes have been widely detected in the environment around the ***, understanding and knowledge of Dechloranes in remote regions, such as the Arctic,remain lacking. Therefore, the concentrations of 5 Dechloranes in surface seawater, sediment,soil, moss, and dung collected from Ny-lesund in the Arctic were measured with the concentrations 93 pg/L, 342, 325, 1.4, and 258 pg/g, respectively, which were much lower than those in Asian and European regions. The mean ratios of anti-Dechlorane Plus（DP） to total DP（fanti） in seawater, sediment, soil, moss, dung, and atmospheric samples were 0.36, 0.21, 0.18,0.27, 0.66, and 0.43, respectively. Results suggested that the main source of DP in seawater,sediment, soil, and moss was long-range atmospheric transport. However, the ratio identified in dung was different, for which the migration behavior of the organism is probably the main source of DP.
