In previous work, we have analyzed the feasibility of the estimation for a source term S（x, y, z） in a transversal section, The present study is concerned with a twodimensional inverse phase change problem. The goal is the estimation of the dissipated heat flux in the liquid zone （reconstruction of a source term in the energy equation） from experimentally measured temperatures in the solid zone. This work has an application in the electron beam welding of steels of thickness about 8cm. The direct thermometallurgical problem is treated in a quasi steady two-dimensional longitudinal section （x, y）. The beam displacement is normally in the y direction. But in the quasi steady simulation, the beam is steady in the study section. The sample is divided in the axial direction z in few sections. At each section, a source term is defined with a part of the beam and creates a vaporized zone and a fused zone. The goal of this work is the rebuilding of the complete source term with the estimations at each section. In this paper, we analyze the feasibility of the estimation. For this work, we use only the simulated measurements without noise.

Modeling experimental design was used to study the main effects and the interaction effects between operational parameters in the photocatalytic degradation of pesticide methomyl. The important parameters which affect the removal efficiency of methomyl such as concentration of Fe(NO3)3, concentration of H2O2, initial concentration of the pesticide and pH. The parameters were coded as x1, x2, x3 and x4, consecutively, and were investigated at two levels (–1 and +1). The effects of individual variables and their interaction effects for dependent variables, namely, photocatalytic degradation efficiency (%) were determined. From the statistical analysis, the most effective parameters in the photocatalytic degradation efficiency were initial concentrations of the methomyl and Fe(NO3)3. The interaction between initial concentration of the pesticide and Fe(NO3)3 was the most influencing interaction. The optimum conditions that were obtained for the photocatalytic degradation of methomyl were: minimum quantity of contaminant: 6 × 10–5 mol.L–1, maximum quantity of Fe(NO3)3: 5 × 10–4 mol.L-1, initial pH of the solution: 3 and maximum quantity H2O2: 10–2 mol.L–1.

To improve both security and profitability,rail transport used electronic systems *** of the major concerns of this technique is to increase electronic components density,which results in increasing heat flow towards the cooling *** flexibility,sealing properties,high thermostability and chemical inertia,silicone adhesives were set,as bonded joints,to avoid the contact between the electronics components and water *** question lies upon durability of those adhesive-bonded joints. Searching for a mechanical test leading to 100%interfacial failures with silicone adhesives doesn’t give much choice,as silicone adhesives show high cohesive *** is why for studying adherence in rubberlike adhesives,we decided to use the "crown test". The name of the test is given because of its peculiar geometry:a crown of adhesive surrounds a central cylindrical *** the test,a compression force is applied on the center of the internal cylinder,while the adhesive crown rests on a specific support. Finite element analysis was performed using ANSYS 7.1 software.A model with an axial symmetry has been *** used hyperelastic formulation available within ANSYS *** study deals with the influence of the geometrical parameters(crown thickness and height) on stress *** check the validity of the mooney rivlin hyperelastic constants,we compared the displacements forecast by the model to the displacement measured experimentally. Moreover,to assess the reliability of the test and its sensitivity to surface treatments,we compared the maximal stress obtained for two surface treatments on polyetherimide cylinders.

despite a large variety of processes that can control Mo and its potential to become an environmental tracer of euxinic environment, this element is not often studied in lakes. The aim of this paper is to identify main seasonal biogeochemical processes that involve Mo in a well constrained freshwater system (Lake Pavin water-column) in order to evaluate their respective importance. In Lake Pavin, 4 main processes have been identified: 1) the transitional process represented by Mo assimilation of by phytoplankton in the epilimnion (nitrogen biological fixation and nitrate assimilation);2) transient process represented by dissolved Mo adsorption onto Fe and Mn metal oxides at oxic/anoxic interface (depth 50 - 60 m);3) Mo precipitation where apparent sulfide production rate is maximum, and from 80 m depths;4) release of dissolved Mo due to Mo benthic flux or input from a deep source.
