This paper describes the evaluation of trace element composition of atmospheric aerosol particles (PMsub>2.5sub> and PMsub>10sub>) and their influence on air quality in the largest industrial area of Abidjan city, C?te d’Ivoire. Multi-week sampling was conducted in an urban site (industrial area) in Abidjan from April 2018 to July 2019. The mean mass concentration was 48.83 ± 15.24 μg/msup>3sup> for PMsub>2.5sub> and 77.34 ± 10.91 μg/msup>3sup> for PMsub>10sub>, with significant temporal variability. The average ratio of PMsub>2.5sub>/PMsub>10sub> was 0.64 ± 0.21. The concentration of BC in PMsub>2.5sub> and PMsub>10sub> was respectively 52.32 ± 7.48 μg/msup>3sup> and 52.26 ± 12.07 μg/msup>3sup>. Twenty-two elements: Na, Mg, Al, si, P, s, Cl, K, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, rb, sr, Zr and Pb were analysed by Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXrF). Elemental composition data were modeled using principal component analysis (PCA) with varimax rotation to determine two (2) and four (4) dominant source categories contributing to PMsub>2.5sub> and PMsub>10sub> respectively. In the case of fine particles PMsub>2.5sub>, the possible sources were Industrial activities and non-exhaust emissions, exhaust emissions. The PMsub>10sub> sources were industrial activities and non-exhaust emissions, industrial processes, mineral dust, and waste combustion.

本文研究了中性条件下TiO2纳米粒子与双阴离子态荧光素F2-的结合能力,发现所形成的复合物与文献报道的强酸性条件下TiO2-质子化荧光素H3F+复合物相比,结构与性能均很不同,F2--TiO2复合物吸收光谱红移30 nm以上且发射荧光。用UV-vis吸收光谱测定了复合物的结合常数、用稳态和瞬态荧光光谱测定了复合物的荧光效率和寿命分别为0.14和1.08 ns,与相应自由态F2-的测定值0.92和4.68 ns相比,复合物荧光效率和寿命都有很大的降低,这是由于复合物内部光诱导电子转移所致,因这一电子转移是热力学上非常有利的过程,其自由能变化达1.1 eV。光致电子转移的速率常数为7.1×108s-1,是其它竞争过程的3倍以上,复合物内光诱导电子转移效率达77%。

利用十二烷基硫酸钠(sDs)阴离子胶束能够稳定分散单壁碳纳米管(sWCNT)和解聚富集四磺酸锌酞菁(ZnPcs4)的能力,组装了ZnPcs4-sWCNT的电子给体-受体对来模拟光合作用的原初电子转移过程.用稳态和时间分辨荧光法研究了相应的给体-受体分子间和分子内的光诱导电子转移速率,用激光闪光光解技术检测了生成的电荷分离态.ZnPcs4-sWCNT的电子给体-受体组装体在707 nm处出现了基态特征吸收峰,但是复合体不产生荧光,这主要归因于有效的分子内光诱导电子转移过程.瞬态吸收光谱检测到相应的离子对,动力学衰减结果表明,电荷分离态的寿命长达42μs.这一长寿命电荷分离态的形成,主要是因为ZnPcs4是良电子给体(低氧化电位),sWCNT是好的电子受体,使得三重态电子转移能够发生,生成三重态电荷分离态.

Food additives, whether natural or artificial substances, are widely used around the world to improve the sensory quality of products, extend their shelf life and make them more competitive. However, the abusive and uncontrolled consumption of food additives is the cause of numerous illnesses and diseases such as poisoning, allergies, diabetes and numerous cancers. so, in addition to setting up control and regulatory bodies, it is becoming essential to keep a constant watch on the presence of food additives on the market. The aim of this study is to highlight the main categories of food additives in food products frequently sold on the senegalese market. The methodology of the study is based on the identification of food additives from the information given on the labels of food packaging. Information was collected in markets in two (2) major regions of senegal: Dakar and saint-louis. The results of our study show the presence of 153 food additives on the labels of 514 samples collected. Moreover, the frequency and diversity of additives depended on the food category. On the other hand, beyond their important technological and functional roles, some additives such as aspartame and monosodium glutamate have been implicated in pathologies, and others, such as titanium dioxide, are the subject of much controversy and even withdrawal in certain legislations for their impacts deemed potentially negative on consumer health.

Coupling together the ferroelectric,pyroelectric,and photovoltaic characteristics within a single material is a novel way to improve the performance of *** this work,we take advantage of the triple multifunctionality shown by 0.5Ba(Zr_(0.2)Ti_(0.8))O_(3)-0.5(Ba_(0.7)Ca_(0.3))TiO_(3)(BCZT),as demonstrated in an Al/si/siOx/BCZT/ITO thin-film *** si/siOx acts as an n-type layer to form a metal-ferroelectric-insulator-semiconductor heterostructure with the BCZT,and with Al and ITO as *** photo-response of the device,with excitation from a violet laser(405 nm wavelength),is carefully investigated,and it is shown that the photodetector performance is invariant with the chopper frequency owing to the pyro-phototronic effect,which corresponds to the coupling together of the pyroelectric and photovoltaic ***,the photodetector performance was significantly better than that of the devices operating based only on the pyro-phototronic effect by a factor of 4,due to the presence of ferroelectricity in the ***,after a poling voltage of−15 V,for a laser power density of 230mW/cm^(2)and at a chopper frequency of 400Hz,optimized responsivity,detectivity,and sensitivity values of 13.1mA/W,1.7×10^(10)Jones,and 26.9,respectively,are ***,ultrafast rise and fall times of 2.4 and 1.5μs,respectively,are obtained,which are 35,000 and 36,000 times faster rise and fall responses,respectively,than previous reports of devices with the ferro-pyro-phototronic *** is understood based on the much faster ferroelectric switching in ferroelectric thin films owing to the predominant 180°domains in a single direction out of plane.

Global reporting Format (GrF) Application Automation for runway surface Conditions in West Africa

This paper aims to design an automated Global reporting Format’s (GrF) application in order to reduce time of manual application (on a runway) of the Global reporting Format developed by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). A method has been used to measure and generate runway Condition report (rCr) automatically. The developed computing model is an autonomous and automatic application implemented specially for West Africa (and can be extended to any rainy area). It uses Arduino materials and computing code developed by the authors. results obtained show that using that method to retrieve the runway Condition report (rCr) is fast, so human presence on the runway is reduced. Even though the results obtained using this model are slightly different from those expected, the actual runway conditions are not too much affected.

Physical Characterization and Evaluation of the Water Potential of the Watershed of the Ferlo Fossil Valley, senegal: louga Area

This study is an evaluation of the water potential of the Ferlo fossil valley in the louga area in senegal. It consisted in determining the volume of water that could be mobilized at the level of a confluence point of the waters according to the flow lines, where a dam would be placed to create a reservoir. This volume of mobilizable water was compared to the average water consumption of the area in order to evaluate its adequacy or not. To do this, a delineation, physical characterization and mapping of the Ferlo watershed was done using Google Earth, Global Mapper and Arc GIs softwares. A catchment area of 28,754 sq·km was obtained with a perimeter of 976 km, an average slope of 0.52% and a hydraulic length of 336 km. Then the decennial runoff of the watershed was calculated using the CIEH method, this flow is estimated at 1120 cm/s. On the basis of this flow, the annual volume of water that can be mobilized was estimated at 11,089,758 cm per year with a solid deposits of 93 cm per year. The conclusions reached are that there is a lack of mobilizable water resources in the area and that the entire fossil valley needs to be rewatered to provide a sustainable alternative water source.
