Low-electrode capacitive deionization(FCDI)is an emerging desalination technology with great potential for removal and/or recycling ions from a range of ***,it still suffers from inefficient charge transfer and ion transport kinetics due to weak turbulence and low electric intensity in flow electrodes,both restricted by the current ***,a new tip-array current collector(designated as T-CC)was developed to replace the conventional planar current collectors,which intensifies both the charge transfer and ion transport *** effects of tip arrays on flow and electric fields were studied by both computational simulations and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,which revealed the reduction of ion transport barrier,charge transport barrier and internal *** the voltage increased from 1.0 to 1.5 and 2.0 V,the T-CC-based FCDI system(T-FCDI)exhibited average salt removal rates(ASRR)of 0.18,0.50,and 0.89μmol cm^(-2) min^(-1),respectively,which are 1.82,2.65,and 2.48 folds higher than that of the conventional serpentine current collectors,and 1.48,1.67,and 1.49 folds higher than that of the planar current ***,with the solid content in flow electrodes increased from 1 to 5 wt%,the ASRR for T-FCDI increased from 0.29 to 0.50μmol cm^(-2) min^(-1),which are 1.70 and 1.67 folds higher than that of the planar current ***,a salt removal efficiency of 99.89%was achieved with T-FCDI and the charge efficiency remained above 95%after 24 h of operation,thus showing its superior long-term stability.

Sodium-ion batteries hold great promise as next-generation energy storage ***,the high instability of the electrode/electrolyte interphase during cycling has seriously hindered the development of *** particular,an unstable cathode–electrolyte interphase(CEI)leads to successive electrolyte side reactions,transition metal leaching and rapid capacity decay,which tends to be exacerbated under high-voltage ***,constructing dense and stable CEIs are crucial for high-performance *** work reports localized high-concentration electrolyte by incorporating a highly oxidation-resistant sulfolane solvent with non-solvent diluent 1H,1H,5H-octafluoropentyl-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl ether,which exhibited excellent oxidative stability and was able to form thin,dense and homogeneous *** excellent CEI enabled the O3-type layered oxide cathode NaNi_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)Fe_(1/3)O_(2)(NaNMF)to achieve stable cycling,with a capacity retention of 79.48%after 300 cycles at 1 C and 81.15%after 400 cycles at 2 C with a high charging voltage of 4.2 *** addition,its nonflammable nature enhances the safety of *** work provides a viable pathway for the application of sulfolane-based electrolytes on SIBs and the design of next-generation high-voltage electrolytes.

凝胶聚合物电解质基锂金属电池由于高比容量和低成本的优势,对于发展高能量密度储存设备具有重要意义.然而,传统型凝胶电解质因其锂离子传输效率较低、易产生极化现象,从而导致不可控的锂枝晶生长,最终阻碍了其大规模实际应用.本文设计并合成出具有丰富离子传输位点的聚醚型锂单离子传导聚合物（DEBS-Li）,随后将其与聚偏氟乙烯-六氟丙烯P（VDF-HFP）基质相复合,采用静电纺丝技术制备出高传导性复合纳米纤维膜.实验发现,具有丰富磺酸基团的DEBS-Li可通过静电作用促进锂盐解离,从而加快离子迁移,赋予凝胶电解质在25℃时具有高离子电导率(～1.58×10-3S cm-1)和锂离子迁移数（0.62）.离子传输动力学的优化可大大延迟锂枝晶的成核时间,并显著抑制锂枝晶的形成.因此,采用该电解质组装成的锂对称电池在1.5 mA cm-2稳定运行250小时未发生短路,金属锂二次电池在10 C的高倍率下稳定循环500圈,容量保持率约为90%.本工作开发的新型聚醚凝胶聚合物电解质在高性能锂电池的实际应用中具有极大潜力.

Post-transcriptional ribonucleic acid (RNA) modifications play crucial roles in regulating gene expression, with both eukaryotic and prokaryotic RNA exhibiting more than 170 distinct and ubiquitous modifications. RNA turnover generates numerous free nucleosides, including unmodified nucleosides and a variety of modified ones. Unlike unmodified nucleosides, modified nucleosides are not further degraded or used in the salvage-synthesis pathway owing to a lack of specific enzymes, which leads to the cytosolic accumulation or cellular efflux of modified nucleosides. These modified nucleosides can act as signaling molecules that regulate downstream pathways once transported to the extracellular space; alternatively, they are metabolized in the bloodstream and excreted in urine. Metabolized modified nucleosides are altered by cellular stress responses and mediate abnormal physiological states. Changes in the urinary and blood levels of modified nucleosides associated with cancer can serve as biomarkers for disease. Therefore, identifying and accurately quantifying nucleosides is vital for understanding RNA degradation and associated patterns of nucleoside metabolism. Such analyses are helpful when studying the biological functions and potential clinical applications of modified nucleosides. In this regard, high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) offers significant advantages in terms of sensitivity, selectivity, and efficiency, and has been widely used to analyze DNA and RNA nucleosides/nucleotides and their analogues. Multiple MS detection patterns and quantification methods have been established to detect nucleosides in biological samples, including cultured cells, urine, blood, and tissue samples. However, the development of an accurate HPLC-MS/MS method faces several challenges. Electrochemical conversion of methane to bridge the gap in the artificial carbon cycle

Methane, an abundant one-carbon（C1） resource, is extensively used in the industrial production of vital fuels and value-added chemicals. However, current industrial methane conversion technologies are energy-and carbon-intensive, mainly due to the high activation energy required to break the inert C–H bond, low selectivity, and problematic side reactions, including CO2emissions and coke deposition. Electrochemical conversion of methane（ECM） using intermittent renewable energy offers an attractive solution, due to its modular reactor design and operational flexibility across a broad spectrum of temperatures and pressures. This review emphasizes conversion pathways of methane in various reaction systems, highlighting the significance and advantages of ECM in facilitating a sustainable artificial carbon cycle. This work provides a comprehensive overview of conventional methane activation mechanisms and delineates the complete pathways of methane conversion in electrolysis contexts. Based on surface/interface chemistry, this work systematically analyzes proposed reaction pathways and corresponding strategies to enhance ECM efficiency towards various target products, including syngas, hydrocarbons, oxygenates, and advanced carbon materials. The discussion also encompasses opportunities and challenges for the ECM process, including insights into ECM pathways, rational electrocatalyst design, establishment of benchmarking protocols, electrolyte engineering, enhancement of CH4conversion rates, and minimization of CO2emission.

Lightweight Underwater Target Detection Using YOLOv8 with Multi-Scale Cross-Channel Attention

Human brain development is a complex process,and animal models often have significant *** address this,researchers have developed pluripotent stem cell-derived three-dimensional structures,known as brain-like organoids,to more accurately model early human brain development and *** enable more consistent and intuitive reproduction of early brain development,in this study,we incorporated forebrain organoid culture technology into the traditional unguided method of brain organoid *** involved embedding organoids in matrigel for only 7 days during the rapid expansion phase of the neural epithelium and then removing them from the matrigel for further cultivation,resulting in a new type of human brain organoid *** cerebral organoid system replicated the temporospatial characteristics of early human brain development,including neuroepithelium derivation,neural progenitor cell production and maintenance,neuron differentiation and migration,and cortical layer patterning and formation,providing more consistent and reproducible organoids for developmental modeling and toxicology *** a proof of concept,we applied the heavy metal cadmium to this newly improved organoid system to test whether it could be used to evaluate the neurotoxicity of environmental *** organoids exposed to cadmium for 7 or 14 days manifested severe damage and abnormalities in their neurodevelopmental patterns,including bursts of cortical cell death and premature *** exposure caused progressive depletion of neural progenitor cells and loss of organoid integrity,accompanied by compensatory cell proliferation at ectopic *** convenience,flexibility,and controllability of this newly developed organoid platform make it a powerful and affordable alternative to animal models for use in neurodevelopmental,neurological,and neurotoxicological studies.
